This thread was started before the dawn of time by Amazons who needed to compare their stats with other Amazons. Over time it grew into a community of incredible women who try to keep their spirits in the clouds and their feet on the ground, moving toward health. Most of us start at 5'7 and go up from there, from young singles to wise and lively elders of the tribe. We welcome newcomers who are willing to be kind and share a bit of their lives.

Good morning. I'm worried that we've not heard a peep from my coffee buddy.
Shari, I can't imagine moving, especially after 30 years. Then again; it's a great way to purge and organize. The timing of the move does seem ideal!
Melinda, I wish I had steps in my house!
Anne, the pizza was a hit. I got the crust almost cracker-thin; pretty proud of that.
Frieda; I'm so sorry there is no action in your world. What does your advisor say about this; just be patient? I can understand your frustration in wanting to come to a resolution. Any luck with the house hunt?
Mmmm...Friday. I have some things to do in the kitchen, then the rest of the day is up in the air. Ah well, something always comes up.

Nancy- you can get those thin crusts like that at HyVee. Look over by the milk in the cold section. That's all we use. I get them super crisp with my air-bake pan. Use fresh mozzarella cheese & it will really take it to the next level.
We went out last night with my favorite uncle. DH was at his best with entertaining us all with stories of our cruises. My aunt doesn't want to travel and it's annoying to us. My uncle should just leave her at home & go. I feel sorry for him.
The new camper comes home from the dealer today. They've had it for 2 weeks installing the washer & dryer and checking it over. My own house is a wreck with everything out of place and on the counters & tables since it all needs to be placed in the camper tonight. DH will get to the grocery store today & he will be all set. Normally I would be freaking out with what needs to happen but I'm surprisingly calm. I'm going to miss him though.
The gal from my work didn't walk yesterday but she says she will today. She's normally very grumpy. It's nice to see exercise uniting the office. Every Friday we pick a different place for lunch. Today we will go to Chinese. We need to make it quick though since we only get 1/2 hour.
Happy Friday. Check out my photo that I put on facebook this morning. It's an amazing sunrise by my house. I was so impressed I pulled over & took a picture. I love the blues & pinks in the sky with the windmill in the background.

Aloha, Long and Lovelies!!
WE ARE GOING TO SPAIN!!!!!! OMG!!!!! We booked the flight yesterday. I can't believe it. I'm beyond excited!!! We already started practicing our Spanish; I really need to brush up. That was some really cool news yesterday. We also booked a flight to visit DH's sister in MD during Spring Break. She lives close to DC, so we will be able to go see a few things while we are there. It is a short 4 day trip. DS is coming with us, so that will be cool.
T, are you alive?
Lynne, I so remember the frustration of waiting for the wheels of justice. It's just ridiculous. Nothing ever happens quickly, no matter what the situation is. It can drive you crazy. Hang in there; I promise, it gets better.
Shari, I'm glad you have until June! You will definitely need the time between packing, finding new house, etc....
Nancy, I'm impressed by your pizza skills. I have never successfully made a homemade crust. We prefer Papa John's. :-) Anything on deck for the weekend?
Melinda, I know a few folks that seem to default to grumpy as well. I always say that they are not happy unless they are unhappy. A mindset that I have never understood. Good luck packing everything up and sending DH off!
Happy Friday all!!!!!

Wow, Missy! Awesome news about your trips! What prompted that decision? (Spain)
Nancy - Your culinary skills always amaze me.
The new camper is just beautiful, Melinda. The countdown is on for you to join up in FL.
Martha - Are you getting some better weather now? We are already up to 40 this morning.
Feeling for Freida. It is hard when your life is in limbo.
And excited for Shari. Did this storm miss you? Or did Mother Nature give you one more blast?
Has anyone texted T? Not like her to miss so many days in a row.

Hi girls; here I am, all showered, after a 42 minute WO.
I mix my pizza dough in the bread machine, girls. I have a real Italian recipe from my real Italian friend! It's a no-fail, and makes enough for two pizzas. Plus, it can be frozen. Make it w/ gluten-free flour, and there you go, for those of you with dietary restrictions.
Oh, Missy; what exciting news! Melinda; Chinese sounds delicious. I wonder if I can talk DH into it for supper. Karla, I'm worried about her and Frieda. Time to reach out.
I touched up my toes last night, and took off the polish on my fingers. Time for a new color!

Morning, o wait, afternoon, how did that happen? O, right. Yoga, some housework, some preparation for class, some research for WFH; that's how it happened.
Frieda, sending you patience and strength for all the delays and uncertainty right now.
Shari, you'll laugh, but I was jealous of the snow in the homeland yesterday. It's getting up to a balmy 40-something here today, and we're all a little beside ourselves.
Melinda, hurray for getting some good rest. That's great.
Missy, esto es increíble! Tener un tiempo fantástico en Espana!!
Anne, Karla, Nancy, good to hear from you!

Hello. I have been meaning to post for many days, but it gets late and I think I'll start early tomorrow. DH did our tax preparation to take for the accountant. He told me he needed my drivers license. I asked him for what. Meaning should I give him the number, or a photocopy? He angrily listed all the items they asked for, and that they asked for it and why was I being so obtuse. I gave him the license and told him I was going to Fort Calhoun to walk because I needed to, right then, and offered to flip him on which one of us would start smoking again. Not really on the last part. But I did tell him not to be so irritable. He started back to smoking. DD seems to be much better from what I can tell. I will be talking to her to wake her in a couple hours and I kind of go by how she sounds. I try not to nag or pry. She had tests Monday and as of yesterday had not heard results from the doctor. She was annoyed but didn't think he should be called. I am of a different mind on that. I was ready to ask on Tuesday. Baby K who is 2 as of October still likes her binkie. Her mother did not want me to get defensive but they are trying to get her to wean from it and bottles. Apparently she only gets them at my house. May be why she wants to live here? ? Anyway I am making headway in the bottle category but binkie are definitely an addiction. Martha, I'm still praying for you in the job department. Frieda, you also. Peace, and hopes time waiting is filled with things productive and soothing. The is swimming with sharks, busy at school, and still holding her head above the water from the cold. Or that was my assessment from a recent communication. Spain sounds like an adventure you'd love looking forward to and going. Melinda. Will look at your fb pictures. Isn't it fun to have a interest and pastime you enjoy and share. Speaking of past times, I placed an order for baby chicks. I was able to get all sorts of different and unusual kinds, and will all be arriving and being the same age. When I'd get different kinds as they became available I'd have e

DGD just bumped her chin, so had to post or risk losing the draft. See people posted while I typed. I love seeing everybody's posts, so I'm out of here

I'm here! Don't know why I didn't get to the boards until now. I didn't even get on the TM today. I just didn't feel like it. Sometimes I feel like a rat in the cage. Usually it's my tv time, and I love that, but I guess I've been feeling why bust my @ss, it isn't working anyhow. I've had the grumps real bad today. No real reason, just many little ones layered upon one another. N: I've decided I better put house hunting on hold. I found two I love and could live in, but I'm not in the position to buy--yet. I keep telling myself, there will be another one I will love just as much if they sell. T is around! You know some people have license plate holders, that say I'd rather be boating, or a university alumni holder, well, I saw a license plate holder that said I'd rather be at Pemberly! I was tickled, and sent her the photo. I though of her. I know I asked this before, but is anyone out there watching Victoria? I can't believer none of my friends have made the association, but in the 80's Laura Ashley was so big. I must have had a zillion dresses with lace collars on them, bit shoulders, fitted waist. Anyhow, that's how they dress on the show and it always makes me giggle just a little. (but no 80's big hair). Basically I need to wait it out. Mcat: who is going to Spain with you? Is this just a couple trip, or are the kids going too? Sounds wonderful, whenever it is! Linda, what is going on with DD? Is she ok? Ahhh, the evils of the binkie. Been there, done that at all ages. Took it away at age 4 (don't recommend), age 1 (definitely recommend) and age 2 (don't recommend). The reason why age 2 was so hard, was she needed it to soothe her, but wasn't yet speaking yet. Did you know that pacifiers mess with the mouth palate and can effect speech later on? I just learned that this year. Maybe that's why people had big families in the day, to work out all the kinks. Melinda, you have a washer and dryer in your new camper? Wow! That is a pretty fancy house on wheels!

Martha! How nice that we were workout buddies! Have you thought about going the temporary route with a job. That way it's short term (could lead to long term) and you can pick and choose your jobs.
Shari: I'm so glad you are keeping at the purging. Are you doing a room at a time? What is your plan of attack? The time will really creep upon you!
We lowered the price of or CA home, hoping it moves. That would be a relief if it does.
OK. I'm done for tonight.
