Good evening!
Phyl, good to hear from you! You have been busy dog sitting- and I think we all know how that goes. It seems as though you finish with one walk and it's time to go out for another one. good job getting that Christmas fabric 30% off! Are you kidding, lent is in 10 days!? Easter break for me is about 2 months away- so it all makes sense....I do appreciate the prayers for the two children. I do think this father is clueless with regard to the damage he might be doing to his children.
Meg, the county card was part of a deal that the county executive made with many local businesses to give recognition to those who served, and to provide a consolidated reference to those services. We thought it was a nice idea- and was ABOUT TIME! Glad that you never had your DH serve in combat. Our military faces risk no matter what function they serve in, but being on the open battle field is surely a greater risk. Good for you spending some time on you tube.....trying to figure out the chevron design! Do I sense that you are liking having the house to yourself a wee bit? . I do hope you are able to figure out both the granny pattern and the chevron pattern. Good thing you have your friends at Knit Wits to help.
CJ- I know exactly where the Hatteras Light house is- we climbed it about 5 years ago, just after it had been moved inland. What a view! I have also been up the light house in Corolla (about 20 years ago) and just this past summer climbed the light house at Bodie Island for the first time. I am reading a pamphlet from the national parks service on the restoration of Bodie light house- which I visited several times before and during its restoration. (Bodie light house is sort of like an old friend to me). We usually stay on the Outer banks- (will not be this summer). We stay near Bodie light house in South Nags head.
Ok enough from me. Gotta go load the dishes and then hope to get some crochetting time in.
Good night!
Ginny
