This is a conservative thread to allow those with conservative views to express themselves. We welcome Republicans, Tea Party folks, and those who believe in the Constitution as written, not as interpreted by liberal judges. If you have liberal views we invite you to participate in a civil and respectful conversation. We would respectfully request that if you cannot post in a respectful and civil manner to refrain from doing so until you can. Good discussions are great - insulting arguments are not. We welcome discussions about our weight loss journey.

Rainy days and Mondays! Yep, it's been raining off and on here. I went down and got some more carpet samples for my screened in porch today. I like one of them - I'll see how my gf likes it. Life goes on. The left wing nuts don't seem to have a life other than protesting the rest of us.

Looking back at last nights post,
Linda, I myself have not had much experience with Obama care. I get my medical care from Kaiser which is very popular here in Ca. My medical care has not changed much at all but my plan at Kaiser is through my DH retirement plan which I kept on after he died. But my DS and DGD have different medical care and I know they don't like Obama care.
Gary, You are so right the Democrats are just continuing to do what got them in trouble. They are being as disruptive and nasty as they can be and getting in the way of moving things along. Remember Harry Reid refused to bring over 300 bills to the senate for a vote after they had passed the congress. I guess they just don't get it that is why people voted for Trump because they are fed up with all the bickering and fighting.

checking in.
I hope the Dems keep on doing what they are doing, but I am so afraid they will figure it out before long.

They are so full of hatred and venom, I wonder if they will implode. Every post I see on FB by a Democrat is nasty, anti Trump, anti Ivanka, and nothing positive about this country or anything else. I am so glad I have a life that doesn't revolve around politics and hating our President so much that is consumes my life. I didn't like Obama as a president, thought he was a wimp, but didn't call him nasty names. I thought the liberals were about peace and love, wearing flowers in their hair. Oops, they wear black masks and carry signs of female private parts with foul language. Great examples to the youth of this country.

I just love coming home and turning on the TV to Tucker Carlson's show. He has such a refreshing take on all the liberal nonsense - he just laughs at them while he shoots down their arguments. Then I listen to Hannity with his no-nonsense approach to liberal mania. Good way to end the evening.

I need to start watching them again. I have caught a couple of Tuckers interviews. I just love the look on his face. Something like he is looking at something with horror and amusement at the same time.
He does let them hang themselves. I have thought at first that maybe these guys are just faking stupidity for the show, but I guess that is who they are.

Can't believe my brother-in-law, an ultra left-wing liberal, added me to a group called Adenauer Circle on Facebook - didn't invite me, just added me. I took a look at a couple of his and other's posts out there and was so appalled that I immediately left that group without looking back. I noticed he also added my sisters to this group, a couple of who are democrats. I don't need any more drama in my life.

The liberals biggest weapon and downfall is fearmongering. What a way to live! Being afraid of everything Trump says or does instead of seeing the good he is accomplishing. Has anybody here read "Big Agenda: President Trump's Plan to Save America"? I am almost convinced to order it.

Hi everyone, I lurk here from time to time. I am a Special Education teacher and live near Harrisburg PA. It's very hard to be a conservative in this area and this job.
I was raised in NW PA, I'm a gun owning, God fearing, married Christian. I try to be patient, kind and love all of God's people. But this hatred is just really driving me nuts!
I didn't like Obama or Clinton. But as my brother says- we just all hunkered down, got we needed and went about our business. We didn't protest, break things or hurt people. Why can't the Dems do that? Be unhappy, but be good losers.
I can't listen to the radio or news anymore. Everyday I'm afraid they are going to find away to get President Trump out of office. I honestly fear that they will find something to make or force him to step down. It should go to the VP then, but I'm so afraid Hillary will take over. I don't like being afraid like this.
We have a president, someone I feel is going to truly try their best for our country. But I'm terrified it won't last the four years, or possibly even the first 100 days.
Thank you or letting me rant in a safe place

hpeterson, welcome to our thread. You can come here and vent anytime. We all feel pretty much as you do and it is hard to listen to the news. Lots of times I just shut the news off. A lot of the protestors are paid agitators who join protests to stir up unlawful behavior. As Christians we should not let fear take over out lives. President Trumps administration has many strong Christians holding high offices. So we need to pray for our President and all the men and women he has chosen to help him run this country. Thank you for joining us today.

I really quit watching mainstream news, not even Fox. No longer watch The Today Show, nor any of the morning so called news shows. I watch a local station for the local news. The liberal media is getting upset that Trump will not call on them during press conferences, why should he? They stood in line to kiss Hillary's behind during the election. And bashed him every which way.
As for the liberal hysteria. Obama did nothing. Obama care is a mess, companies dropping out of it. I personally know some one that had to get it because her DH's employer insurance went up to $1600. per month for a family plan, just since Obama care came. She had to go to Obama care, but United, her last year's carrier, dropped Obama care and now she has a 5K deductible, drugs included. In other words, RX's not covered until deductible met. Now Humana dropping out. The people who have worked are the ones getting the shaft and the non-workers on Medicaid with a bad back, with 8 kids, are getting all the benefits. There are good things in the ACA but a lot of them were with the private insurance companies before it became effective. Was it Nancy Pelosi that said they never read it before enacting it? The Democrats are sinking and blaming everyone but them themselves. Hillary may have won the popular vote, but only on the east and west coasts. The real Americans voted against her. I guess Madonna's promise to men wasn't persuasive enough.

What Meg says.
It does get to me sometimes, so I do back away from it. What bothers me the most is when they try to use our faith to silence us.
Such as, first they tell us "oh you have no right to impose your beliefs on others, your religion should not be a part of who you vote for"
Then when convenient, "oh how can a Christian vote for Trump, (as if Hillary would be a good choice for a Christian)
I voted for the best of the two to lead the country, not for a priest, or pastor.
I love when they scream that Christians should be for open boarders, then when the subject of abortion comes up shame on you Christians for imposing your religion on us.

Megk31-Thanks for the warm welcome. I'm glad to hear that a lot of people feel the same way
I stopped watching the today show years ago. I am an Autism Support teacher (for 16 years) and many years ago they gave new Autism research 2 minutes of air time and the death of Anna Nicole Smith a full hours worth of coverage. I really pulled away then. But now I agree that it's local news only and then nothing else.

Busy busy work week. I just caught the end of O'Reilly.....interesting, he said tomorrow's show will have a story about how more and more people are NOT watching morning news or night news programs. Will have to tune in tomorrow.....funny, as that was what the last few posts here were about. Was hoping to watch Tucker, but someone is sitting in for him, so a book for me instead. I barely watch any news....I sometimes can see a bit of Fox and Friends in the morning. Or I just read the news on-line. I've been moving away from Fox and CNN and liking Daily Caller and Breitbart. The larger media just keep going over the same old same old and trying to make something out of nothing just so they have something on the screen. I still like O'Reilly, although I don't always agree with him. He just seems to be level headed and fair....SO GLAD he no longer has that racist Lamont Hill on as a guest. Hey....haven't heard much about Megyn Kelly. She's doesn't seem to be a darling any more.....when she was with Fox she was EVERYWHERE....especially when the rumors started about her leaving Fox....all the stations wanted her on so she could trash Fox. Wonder how that's working out? I have to laugh at all of the Dems and their false hysteria. Wish the media would look into the Pelosi family empire....and Elijah Cummings has many skeletons in his closet. But the MSM never, ever turns those rocks over, do they. Hahaha about the press complaining about conservative news organizations getting to ask the questions. About time. anyone remember this story: So begins another morning in what may count as Washington’s longest-running conversation — a street-corner bull session between four old friends who suddenly find themselves standing once more at the busiest intersection of politics and media in Washington.
Carville calls White House chief of staff Rahm Emanuel.
Emanuel calls ABC News Chief Washington Correspondent George Stephanopoulos.
A bit later, CNN commentator Paul Begala, who is not quite the early bird that his friends are, will complete the circle with a rapid set of calls to all three.
I don't remember other news outlets complaining about Stephanopoulos and Carville getting the inside skinny from Emanuel at the White House.
Liberals and democrats continue to act like children....they just don't give a damn about getting the country moving again.....really, really disgusting when you think about it. We suffered 8 years of Obama and company....this is just crazy...they are crazy. They still don't get it....but sometimes if you keep telling a lie enough times, people start to believe it. All these libs and dems turned a blind eye whenever anyone mentioned Obama's ties to terrorists (Bill Ayers) or his college behavior or his lack of experience and how he actually got his first position in politics. There is a lot more to that story.
Welcome hpeterson....I've seen you here from time to time. Lin
