Welcome back Joyce - hope you and DH had a wonderful cruise.
A big week on tap with the House poised to pass legislation to block JA's emergency declaration, the Summit with Un in Vietnam, and Micheal Cohen's testimony before the House Committee on Oversight. And that's just the top three.
I saw in a news report, that Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov claimed "the U.S. asked for Russia's advice" ahead of the summit with North Korean leader Kim Jung Un. Can it be a coincidence that Sergey Lavrov is going to be in Vietnam at the same time as the summit? So much secrecy. This whole thing makes me nervous.
Good morning! We got home about 5:00 yesterday afternoon. It was a wonderful, relaxing trip and we both really enjoyed it. We will definitely do another cruise at some point. It was fun and relaxing, and just nice to get away from the daily routine and worries to say nothing of all the rain. The weather for the entire cruise was perfect. We both really enjoyed the trip, although I have to say it was a rude awakening this morning to find that no one had already prepared an enormous, delicious breakfast for me when I walked into the kitchen. LOL! How quickly we can become spoiled.
Now it's back to the real world. Lots going on this week in the news, I just hope we get to find out some of the behind closed doors facts. Pam, I also saw where Russia says Lavrov was asked for advice, and don't believe it can possibly be a coincidence that he will be in Vietnam during the so called "summit." I'm concerned that the real truth may never come out, or at least not anytime in the foreseeable future. But for the first time in my life I believe that it is entirely possible that an American "President" could be working against the U.S., and could even possibly be a Russian asset. Before this administration I would have thought anyone espousing that theory was totally bonkers. Now I believe it is fully in the realm of possibility.

Got my coffee, and I'm ready to settle down in front of the TV. Bring it on . . .
Every time I see a Republican talk about Cohen being a liar I choke on my coffee. Really? Now they think having lied is an issue? A record of the times the JA has told the truth wouldn't fill up a sheet of paper double spaced. How stupid does his base have to be to continue swallowing this BS?
Of everything that has been said so far, this Cohen quote stands out the most for me.....
“It’s that sort of behavior that I’m responsible for,” he said. “I’m responsible for your silliness because I did the same thing that you’re doing now for 10 years. I protected Mr. Trump for 10 years.”
“I can only warn people: The more people that follow Mr. Trump as I did blindly are going to suffer the same consequences that I’m suffering,” he said.
