Wow I wasn't too far off the mark, was I? Within hours of my posting that Flynn resigns. Usually a resignation means "quit now or be fired."
I was bowled over by it all while watching this morning's news - nuclear briefcases, the oval office desk piled high with face-up documents and a damn security file laying on the desk WITH THE KEY IN IT, national security meetings in front of the terrible lying media while at a vacation resort. Will somebody please show this clown and his security team a few episodes of CSI?

Flynn's resignation is just the beginning, I hope. The whole administration stinks to high heaven. So, one down & several more to go. And there were those who thought Hilary was a crook, my god!...LOL...Nothing compared to this mess unfolding.

But what comes next? Pence? God forbid - RYAN? No matter who takes over it will be a corrupt Republican or an alt-right nut job.

The whole scenario is indeed scary. I think there are behind the scene efforts to get Pence in place because the Ryan & McConnell would rather work with Pence than Trump. Maybe these leaks are coming from the GOP leadership...all I can say, is McCain & Graham better back of their words with action in investigating Russia & Trump. It's just going to be one darn ride from hell the next 4 years. And the damage that will ensue will probably never ever be able to be fixed. All, I can say, is that if Petraous (sp?) replaces Flynn, that will be the height of Hypocrasy since he had leaked classified info to his mistress!...Plus, he's still on Parole...what a mess!

Whether you like him or not, Moore has been pretty much right in his prediction about this whole Trump mess......
Michael Moore 3 hrs · My thoughts on the resignation of National Security Advisor Michael Flynn... Now that Flynn is gone, he can rejoin his son in pedaling the story that Hillary was running a pedophile ring out of Comet Pizza. This is what was passing for National Security. Whackjob... I'm fondly remembering Michael Flynn at the Republican convention leading the cheer from the stage: "LOCK HER UP!" Now it may be him who gets locked up. Be careful what you wish for!... Flynn was colluding with a foreign government accused of helping throw the election to Trump, promising them they would be taken care of. Arrest him... Let's be VERY clear: Flynn DID NOT make that Russian call on his own. He was INSTRUCTED to do so.He was TOLD to reassure them. Arrest Trump... TRUMP KNEW EVERYTHING. It will all come out. Along with the rest of Trump's collusion & obedience to Putin. #IMPEACH... The Washington Post & NY Times now reporting Trump HAS KNOWN FOR A MONTH Flynn lied about the Russian call - and Trump did nothing. #IMPEACH... This is who Trump named "National Security Advisor": A lapdog to the lapdog of Putin. Feeling secure America? He's gonna get u killed... Hey, @realdonaldtrump -- one hour after Obama put sanctions on Russia YOU told Flynn to call them & promise them it'll be OK. Admit it. Traitor! Resign by morning!

Greetings! I'm with you all; we have to stick together for support. What a nightmare. Of all things; I still can't believe this is happening. I don't post too often here, but I do read on occasion. (I can't even watch or listen to the media. That half-wit.) I need a "tweety-filter". I assume you've already posted the link to impeach Tweety? Maybe worth posting again, which I can do. I just have to find it again.
Only one good thing (and I say this tongue-in-cheek) has come from this: great comedic material.
I wish you all a day filled with love. Love what is you and what is ours. Love the planet.

To repeat Retiredinaz from last night and Pam pointed out this morning, "What did the President know, and when did he know it?" Sound familiar? I'm thinking we'll be thinking Nixon was almost a saint by the time we learn all the shenanigans of the Trump administration. He may not be the first president to be impeached, but he will be the first to be convicted unless he follows Nixon's lead and resigns first.
And he's meeting with Petraeus?! Give me a break! It sounds like leaking classified information and breaking the law are practically requirements for a job in the Tweety administration. Why on earth would he even meet with Petraeus? It is beyond belief.
I absolutely believe that Michael Moore is right in his assertion that Flynn discussed the sanctions with the Russians at Tweety's directive. And we already know for certain fact that he knew about this for a full month before it all came crashing down.
This administration, their disregard for the truth and laws combined with their clumsy lack of skill just shows that they really could care less about the country. It's all about their own personal agendas. Tweety craved power and Bannon is pulling his strings. The rest are all desperately hanging on for their few minutes of fame before it all comes crashing down.
The Republicans better get their act together fast and show the public that they are not simply puppets for Tweety, or their party is going to crash and burn. I am not surprised that this happened, just surprised that they were not skilled enough to hide it better. Just goes to show how cocky they are.
Don't even get me started on that open table and lack of security at Mar-a-Lago! Unbelievable!!!!

House Oversight Committee Chair Won’t Investigate Michael Flynn “It’s taking care of itself,” Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah) said. 1 hour ago | Updated 19 minutes ago....Huff Post
Wow, REALLY! ...But of course this is the same guy who was gearing up to restart investigations into Hilary even before the election results were in. And, many Republicans are behind Chaffez decision not to go forward with a Flynn investigation!...Boy do they have their heads up their azzes because there are so many investigative reporters out there doing his job for him & it won't belong before the whole icky mess comes tumbling down around the whole GOP party!...the sooner the better!

I agree with Linda that the Republicans in Congress are making a big mistake not getting out in front of this while they still have the chance. It is going to come back and bite them big time, and they'll have no one to blame but themselves when that happens. McConnell would do well to take his admonition to Elizabeth Warren to heart himself. He's been warned, he's been given an explanation, but thus far he's too much of a coward to persist.
And now Flynn is calling himself a scapegoat . . . Tweety you better find a good hiding place because the fan's blowing in your direction and it won't be long until the you know what starts hitting.

Kellyanne Conway Crumbles Under The Weight Of Her Own Lies She struggled to answer basic questions about the timeline leading to the resignation of national security adviser Mike Flynn. 2 hours ago
IMHO it's time for Kellyanne to stop wasting the taxpayers dollars on her salary, go home & reflect on the difference between alternative facts & lies. Did you know her husband is being consider as legal counsel for this administration. Good grief another Conway in the Oval Office!

Evidently the scapegoat comment was a fake tweet from Flynn. Which is really kind of ironic when you take into account he and his son were among the primary instigators of fake news during the campaign.
Please don't let us get another Conway anywhere near the Oval Office. KAC is more than I can stomach now. That's all we need, a legal counsel who doesn't know the difference between facts and alternative facts/lies.
KAC and Spicer really need to get their stories straight. They contradict each other right and left.

Andy Borowitz 2 hrs · Hey Donald J. Trump thought you might be interested in what the penalty for treason is. It turns out it's way worse than the $25 million you had to pay to settle the Trump University case. #( deleted for profanity) 18 U.S. Code § 2381 - Treason Whoever, owing allegiance to the United States, levies war against them or adheres to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort within the United States or elsewhere, is guilty of treason and shall suffer death, or shall be imprisoned not less than five years and fined under this title but not less...
