Audrey LOL on getting Alexa to suggest lottery numbers. If she is successful I may just buy one.I hope you can get stronger meds from your doctor today and enjoy lunch with DD and DH.
Cathy Great plan.I always find if I get in the GHG's I come up with balanced meals.
MJ Another cold day for you.We started in the upper 30's but are heading for 60's hopefully. You have another busy day planned and I hope you get your Medicare straightened out today.
June I'm glad your power was restored as quickly as it was but sometimes 2 hours can feel like forever especially if it's cold or in summer when it's hot here.
Ann I hope you have a safe trip to your PCP.Our local store doesn't have many good deals on produce but I need them anyway.
June I did have a fairly restful night well as restful as it can be with 2 cats sleeping on me.LOL.
Susi I wish we had an Aldi's here but we only have a Texas chain called HEB and I don't buy produce at Walmart. You are very lucky to be able to grow your own.We haven't had any luck with growing tomatoes the last 2 years but I told my DH I would like to try cucumbers after it gets warm enough. The problem during the summer is it gets too hot and usually too dry to grow much of anything around here.Your dinner sounds so good.If I want chicken I have to eat it at lunch because DH won't eat it.He grew up having to pick the feathers off chickens on the farm and he just can't eat them anymore.
Have a great day everyone and stay warm.

LOL Becky I know the feeling. We have a Boston Terrier and a part coon cat and they sleep with us. I will sometimes wake up with the cat's tail in my face.. Can't say as I blame your DH re: the chicken.

We have brilliant sunshine this morning along with the crazy winds. It is sparkling here, as well - I sat in a sunbeam at the MousekeHouse while waiting for the Mice to finish breakfast. But that wind had Amazin'Grace a'shakin' at the stoplights.

Becky I hold onto that same attitude when we are on vacation. Having produce on hand is key to eating healthy at home or snacking on the road. Wish you had better options though!
Ann You made me chuckle. Our nephew's Husky mix, Nigel, will slip into bed w/ me when R gets up to use the bathroom at night. He tells me that It'sa comedy show whenhe returns. The more R tries to evict Nigel, the closer the big fur ball scoots to me Fortunately, I sleep so soundly, that I rarely know anything until the morning.
Mj You are a girl after my own heart. I sat in a sunbeam at the office last week.

My sunbeams rose, then the clouds took over. We are a cold 61º.
DGD finally sent me something not too salty --- chicken, sausage, spinach, cheese tortelini soup. Sooooo good. The wind is howling outside which makes it all feel colder to me. LOL
Audrey, hope the doc visit goes well and lunch also.
Becky, just because I am willing to be willing and AWARE doesn't mean I always make it. LOL Yesterday, I did. Today isn't over.

Hi girls. We have a bit of sunshine, but good luck to anyone that can withstand this horrible wind!!!!! I'll stay indoors where it's nice and warm.
We had to cancel our PCP appointment for today. While Carl was out with LuLa he noticed shingles flying from our roof!!!!! He was able to salvage them and they are in the shed. We don't feel comfortable in going all the way into Worcester...best we stick around here. Tomorrow if it's not windy, Carl will go up on the roof to see what's what! May have to call a roofer...it all depends. Never a dull moment LOL.......
We made a quick pit stop to our local market where I picked up a rotisserie chicken. I had planned on that yesterday and already had it tracked LOL...quick and easy.
Going to get 'jammified' now as I won't venture into the great outdoors again today. Tomorrow I have my in town eye exam for my macular degeneration. Hopefully all will work out well.
Take care, all and talk tomorrow.

Ann We both sleep in our recliners because we don't have a heater or AC(for summer)in the bedroom and it's either too cold or too hot to sleep in there.I have a 57 lb dog who likes to sleep with me most nights but I make her lay on the side of me and not over my legs like she would rather do.Last night she didn't come so both cats decided to grace me with their presence. One laid on my tummy and the other between my legs. It's a zoo around here most of the time.I'm sorry you had to cancel your appointment with your PCP but I don't blame you.We have wind but not as windy as all of you are having.Enjoy your day inside.
Bee I understand about not always being able to be willing and aware.Sending prayers your way for your biopsy tomorrow.I am hoping for the best for you.
Audrey I hope you were able to get stronger meds and feel better soon.
I think I will check on our wind and if it's not too windy I will try to walk.If not there is always the recumbent bike.

Joining Bee in being willing to be willing and aware today. The sun is bright and the snow is melting. Salon tomorrow, so focused on OP eating and getting my liquids in. Continuing to aim for blue.
Bee: sending positive vibes for your eye appt
Hope those who are in the midst of wind and cold are warm now.
Hope you’re feeling better Audrey.

Lol Becky with your fur kids. I can relate. Way I see it is it's a small price to pay for the joy they bring us.
Pam good luck tomorrow.
Bee I am also going to the eye doc tomorrow. Praying all goes well for you.
Looking forward to having the roof repaired tomorrow.
Sleep well all

I had lunch again at Pismos coastal grill and took a photo of the recipe ingredients for my acorn squash dish and bistro salad. I will post them on FB but post recipe ingredients here perhaps this evening. It was as good as it was Friday night. I now have a Z pack and prescription cough drugs. Insurance would not pay for the cough medicine because it is not generic so I gladly paid $30 if I can stop having coughing fits throughout the day and night. I was so bad today when I took Leo home from school that I stopped off on the way home to get a nonfat decaf latte. Decided to be good and not buy steamed pork buns. Instead with the leftover rice I will sautee chard with garlic and garbanzo beans and make small salads. It's a vegetarian day.

Glad you got meds. Yes, the coughing can get really bad.
Not sure what a steamed pork bun is.

Bee - Lots of prayers Becky - Charlie has gotten a little to old to climb on the bed with me because I am a restless sleeper. Both Missy and Jack appreciate not having to fight for room. Enjoy Pam! Audrey - My favorite place (and 2 easy walking blocks away) has the most amazing steamed duck buns. I have to plan for that indulgence. Good alternative plan.
