I'm in. Morning all.
Same conditions here - thanks for the start-up MJ I guess we shouldn't be surprised WW is tanking. Perhaps next year we'll be seeing commercials stating, Weight Watchers is back! A contrition tour modeled on the Dominos Pizza comeback lol
A typical Hump Day on tap. Breakfast for dinner.
Enjoy the day!

Good morning all. It's so foggy it was difficult driving to the mall for our walk. Temps are in the 60s this morning but we're looking at temps in the 30s next week. So, winter will hang on into March which starts on Friday. I'm going to my WW meeting this morning but I doubt the latest stock earnings report will be discussed. This may be my last meeting for awhile because I'm not ready for the March weigh-in but we'll see. Pam, breakfast for dinner sounds good; thanks for the menu idea!

Good morning. Repeat forecast: Cold, snow later, etc, etc, etc. Snow flurries right now. Vet appt for Rosie---another vaccination. I like to split up the doses to avoid the possibility of side effects so this is just a tech visit, a quickie. I want to see how much she weighs, too---she is growing like a weed!! diva49, I read the article you linked and came away with a few thoughts: WW is a hot mess; Mindy is putting out mixed messages; they blew it with the WW crap and are now trying to backpedal and realize that they need to put more emphasis on weight loss. No kidding, Mindy. We could have told you that before you wasted the money on Wellness that Works. WW or whatever needs to pull in the reins and stop the scatter-shot approach. You can NOT be all things to all people. Take the cape and tiara off and stop trying to think you are going to change the world. FOCUS. From what I can see from the conference call transcript she is still trying to convince people that this is the road to take, with a few tweaks. Honestly, it doesn't look like some of the others questioning her were buying the spiel. Interesting read---maybe it should have its own thread, diva49? Wishing all at least a halfway decent day. KOKO.

I agree that the breakfast for dinner sounds great! My husband is supposed to go out with his buddy tonight, so I'll be on my own, unless he starts to feel unwell again. This is his first day back to work after a couple sick days.
My neighbor hired the same deck builder/repair outfit we used. They are there today and it's scaring my parrot again. When they did our deck it was evil cold outside. It's not that bad now. I'm sure they'll be done today.
I made one of the Blue Apron WW Freestyle recipes last night again, but with all of my own grocery store purchased ingredients. My meals have been on weight loss track, only my snacks have been over a bit.
My 30th high school reunion is in May. Did I mention that? I was trying on dresses yesterday. It's the first reunion I've ever been to. What do I wear? It would be nice to be at least 10 lbs trimmer by then, but I know to achieve that I'd have to get more serious about my diet. I know that if I was serious, 10 lbs would not be a lofty goal.

Good morning MJ, Doordie, Becky, Linda, Fullmahina, Cyndee. I'm in, planned and tracked except for dinner. I have plenty of wiggle room but just don't know what I want. It will be easy because I don't get home from my meeting until 7 p.m.

Happy Hump Day!
I've been living the single life all week since the DH is up in Wisconsin for driving school (he has to get his CDL for work). I'm kinda jealous because he got to see the youngest kid while there!
I took a wellness day from work yesterday! I had a doctors appointment (all is good, I had great labs this time around)! I went apartment shopping with the girl child (for her), and we had lunch with my mom! I then took the dogs to the dog park! I figured mid-afternoon it wouldn't be busy and I was right! They had the place to themselves! LOL They loved the running! They slept good last night! Olive is at school today. Poor Oakie is home alone. He is NOT happy! I have a dog camera and he is sitting in the recliner and will howl every once in awhile. He is PITIFUL!
I hope everyone is doing good! Positive energy to all!

Good morning. I’m in. neen , I’m LOLing at the thought poor Oakie at home, howling about his loneliness. My cat Missy does that whenever she wakes up and I’m not in the room with her. The weather here is drizzly/miserable. We got significant rainfall overnight…I heard it on and off all night long. But no significant daytime rain so far. It will be a boring day of colonoscopy diet and prep. I’ll be glad to see the other side of the procedures tomorrow afternoon. The WW earnings results and transcript of the earnings call made for interesting reading. I think they could have summarized things with a bullet list: - We pissed off long-time members and they did NOT come back in January
- We failed to deliver on the recruitment of sufficient new members
- We’ve hired several new VPs to the executive ranks to help figure out how to fix this mess
- We’ve replaced a couple of departed board members with new blood and maybe they will have some ideas to fix this mess
- We’ve realized that pushing Oprah into the background for 2018 was a major mistake and are taking steps to bring here, once again, to the forefront in hopes that the “Oprah Aura” will work its magic
- IF there are to be changes to the program in 2020—and we’re not saying there WILL be (but our science people have been working on this for a year)—they would be introduced prior to the January 2020 diet season.
And so it goes.
I hope everyone has a great day.

I'm in & heading to Cookbook Club soon. We're reviewing Bring It by Ali Rosen. I made stuffed mushrooms (stuffing is sausage & goat cheese). I already tasted one & they're tasty. Hope everyone has a nice day.

Morning all, thank you for the kick off diva49. Hit the ground running and continuing to do so before the rain hits. I am in. Was laughing and shaking head when I saw the earnings call report. Is there a news station NOT reporting it?!? What a shame. She took a sinking ship and instead of turning it around, sounded its’ death knell. 🤦♀️ Back to work, have a great day everyone! ☕️☕️

Good Morning. We got zazzles’ rain from 4-6 a.m. Now it’s clear. I am going to a coffee this morning that I can walk to R. because the home is not that far away from mine and it’s getting really sunny and beautiful. Our Daughter and her family are coming for dinner. My husband will grill tilapia and I will make rice pilaf salad and green beans. I bought them Trader Joe’s chocolate mousse peti fours for dessert. I’m still fighting a cough and cold but the meds seem to be doing their job finally

I just have to observe that while WW had lousy results, mostly as a result of their insane changes, the company is not anywhere done for. True, there were disappointment in the numbers and investors, especially institutional investors, flee from companies that disappoint, WW has profit and money in the bank. They just haven't grown as they had projected. So I don't expect the doors to be closing anytime soon—although some meetings and/or studios may be closed to further cut costs.

If I was Mindy I'd close all centers and focus on being tech only.

While WW had a dismal quarter, I wonder how other weight loss groups are doing. Maybe this just isn't a problem for WW, which we are all involved with, but what about other ventures. Maybe more people are using personal trackers (Keto, calorie counting, what ever) and doing their "own version of health" and it's more an indication of the whole business related to weight loss. People want something quick, permanent, cheap and sustaining which is unrealistic.
I'm not surprised they are pushing Oprah back to the front of the pack and she's got a lot of money in WW but I think it will take more than an Oprah appearance to get people back to WW.
If my WW meeting is any indication, something is going on. There were about 30 people at my meeting today, easily half of what is the usual. You can count on bad weather, end of the month, phases of the moon, etc. but there should be a lot more people sitting in chairs.
ETA: and where is Kate Hudson in all of this news? I never see anything about her still being in WW; that didn't take long for her to disappear!
