Everybody must be busy today!
Spent an hour in the back yard fixing a couple leaking bubbler tops...new ones, got long enough drip lines from bubblers to potted shrubs so I could shallow bury the lines a couple feet to them to prevent tripping! Sat outside to let Micki play in the sun and watch the Gila woodpeckers and hummers trade off on the feeder.Mama woodpecker is very hungry.
Came in sneezing.Micki needed apoquel yesterday again.
Think i will try a new recipe from “Bird in the Hand” book, Chicken Forrestier...carrots, chicken, two kinds of mushrooms, onion.

Linda, I live by that saying.
We have had snow flurries for the last hour but it is not sticking, TG. It is only 35°. Iggy made a fish soup from a video he watched from a Vietnamese cook. It was delicious. I have spent the day doing laundry but I am done withit for now. I still have sheets and towels to do but enough for today.
I hope you are all enjoying your Sunday.

Happy St. Pat's Day! As busy as the thread was yesterday, it sure is quiet today! I hope everyone has lovely weather to get out in and are enjoying. We have bright sunshine but it's only 53 with a bit of wind. Probably Becky's wind from yesterday.
Chele, the first time I remember you mentioning having difficulty sleeping was when Iggy was in Paris during the terrorist attack that I think may have been 2015, so that's been a while, if it's been going on for that long. We have satelite and it ain't cheap but is cheaper than cable. Are you going with Dish or Direct or a local company? I finished the climate change book and it was sobering. I loved the younger generation around the world doing their marches on Friday. It's the world they and their children and their children's children will inherit, so they have more at stake than we do. It irritates me so much that the president calls climate change "fake science" but he and his advisors don't seem to be able to make a connection between an increase in hurricanes/tornadoes/severe storms, melting glaciers, and the other effects that our fossil-fuel civilization has inflicted upon the planet, if they are even trying. Off my soapbox. Good luck to Iggy on his first day of the new job tomorrow. What do you have planned? I hope he can get the cell phone number taken care of quickly. What company will you go with?
Did you have leftovers from Friday's dinner, Kathy? If so, are they gone? Sorry the FSU men couldn't quite hold on and beat the Dookies. I was hoping they would. What's on your agenda for the week?
Linda, I didn't think about my sore feet when I read your comment. It's just a way of life at the moment I guess. Arya has been kind and hasn't dragged me out to potty too many times and I drove up to the mailbox, so I just had to walk out to the garage. Are you packed?
Have your winds died down and temps warmed up any, Becky? Were you able to walk outside today?
Liz, I hope you got some R&R this weekend and that the remaining site visit will go smoothly. I also hope your problem child will settle down now that you have removed those apparently offending sentences from her PR. If her performance doesn't improve, perhaps you can put them back in next year and they will stick because it will establish a pattern. How's Zoe's tail?
Dale texted me, "I ain't dead" about 2:30, indicating that he finished the race. I talked to him about half an hour ago when he got back to the motel and he sounded pretty good. We need to find him socks with a bit more cushioning on top of the foot because he had major problems with the first pair of socks and had to switch mid race. He said the top of his feet are already bruising. Don't know what kind of footwear he will be using to drive home tomorrow. Arya and I are doing fine and she has only tried to drag me onto a walk we shouldn't have attempted one time. I signed up for a free seminar entitled The Truth About Weight Loss that has a bunch of plant-based doctors and other medical professionals presenting various topics that have been really good so far. Dr. Fuhrman was the opening speaker but there have been a few people I've never heard of that were also excellent, including a Dr. Angie Sadeghi who is a gastroenterologist and gave a fascinating talk on the intestinal microbiome. I hope I can use some of the things she said to start losing weight again, since I've been stalled for a while. I am getting back to being active again, so that will help. I broke in the vibration machine this morning and it was pretty cool. It's a keeper. I just have to figure out have to mount the control because none of the Command strips I have will work.

Very weird that Linda's 2 posts and Chele's didn't show up until after I posted. Good rule to live by, Linda. Chele, I guess you're not having particularly lovely weather. I was hoping we were all done with snow by now. Good soup day and I'm sure what Iggy made was extremely tasty. Good job getting the laundry knocked out on a good day to be indoors.

Karen Our country road is a regular paved road but it still has its ups and downs.I always walk the same direction. If I take a right out of our property there is one really hilly like place on the road the FB will give me a couple of floors.
Chele I wouldn't drive 30 minutes to walk in a mall either.I hope Iggy's new job does give you more of a regular routine.
Linda The new recipe sounds good.I think all of you need that pic on your fridge door.
Chele I would have never thought fish soup would be good but I'm glad it is.
Karen You must have gotten our wind.Ours isn't near as bad today and it's 68 degrees and partly cloudy.I did end up walking 45 minutes today and these shoes must not be walking shoes because it did hurt some but I just walked slower in some places.I'm probably not going to walk on the days we go grocery shopping to give it a rest in between.I will get on the bike later.I'm glad Dale made it through the race and you like the vibe plate.
Hi Kathy and Liz.

Picked up couple things at nearby Sprouts and tried chicken forestier for supper...chicken,onions, carrots, stock, dried porcini, crimini mushrooms, cream and Madera....bland. Not worth an hour in the kitchen.
