linda72 My mom never gave me the Toni perms but she would take me to her beauty salon to get one.I have always had straight hair but once I was on a medicine which made some of my hair fall out in the back and would grow back wavy. The stylists would always ask me if I had naturally curly hair.I asked my doctor about it and she said that was a side effect of the med.I haven't taken that med in 10-15 yrs and I still have a little of the hair fallout but it doesn't grow back wavy anymore.I'm just glad it still grows back at my age.

cyndee , make sure to hit reply at the top right where you input your message, not the quick reply. Then look for the globe icon, go over 2 to the right, the one that looks like a sunset and click that. It is the button for the "insert image".

I'm doing everything you said Deb and Zazzles. I click the Reply on the top right (not the quick reply). I then click the Insert Image. I paste imgur.com/Y7cu2Se in there and click the Insert Photo, and nothing shows up at all. The only time anything related to a photo shows up is when I post the link directly into the body of the post. I give up. If anyone else is successful at posting imgur.com/Y7cu2Se (which is not my photo, but another wild haired creature's) you got the magic touch that I can't figure out.

cyndee, I clicked on the link you posted and then I clicked on the picture a second time. Then, I right clicked on the picture and the choice I clicked on was "copy image address". Then I pasted that into the Image URL spot that Mike highlighted.

cyndee , you are doing the process right on the message board post, but you are selecting the wrong link from IMGUR. You have to copy the link marked Direct Link as shown below...

zazzles , am I right in thinking that any photo posted on imgur is public? And that people can comment on them? Please keep internet safety in mind especially when it comes to posting pictures of children. This message board is also public.
This is why I haven't done it. I wouldn't post a photo of his face anyway. I don't do that. His parents post photos of him online all the time. I wouldn't even link to them because I do believe they give away too much private information.
DebDoesWW , Maybe I can make it a temporary avatar? I'll see if it works.
ETA: OK, it worked. I will change it within 24 hours.

Yup, makes me crazy. I am the webmaster for another organization, and it makes me nuts how many parents don't care if I post their kids pics on line. Which I won't unless the pics are small and unidentifiable. I do not want to be responsible for somebody grabbing a kids image.

I have brown wavy curly hair. I used to long for straight hair. Growing up I knew if I had hair like Peggy Lipton (straight & blond) or like my Barbie doll (straight & platinum blond) life would be perfect. Now I just rock my curls/waves and love it. Though on humid days my hair can test my love. I follow a few people on YouTube for curly hair tips. (curly Susie is one). The key is not to use too much shampoo as it dries out your hair. On some days I co wash. That is wash with conditioner. I also leave in a bit of conditioner. I also use products to make curls. (shea moisture). And deep condition once a week.

DebDoesWW , Thank you. He is adorable if I do say so myself. Yeah, those curls are super cute when you are 3. Not so much when you are 60. :/

I think I might be successful at uploading a photo now. Thanks to everyone who helped me, and sorry for kind of going off topic. I thought I'd include another curly headed individual to get back on topic. Yup! I managed. I love alpacas!
