Jane I hope Kelcy is better. Same for Ann's Brownie, who sounds more like a pet.
Ruth thanks for the recipes, I am especially interested in the butternut squash recipe. And Marlo thanks for your suggestions.
Don and walked at the mall before it opened this morning. Only around once and not very fast. I swam a little at the pool just now, the water was lovely and it was overcast so I won't burn. Now at home it began to rain. Just a quick shower I think.
Lunch was chili, supper was an egg fried in coconut oil and a tangerine. Weird, but just didn't feel like cooking.

AOTD: one of the favorite gifts I've received was a heart shaped pierced gold pendant from my granddaughters. Well, it was from my DD as the grands were too little to pick it out and buy it. It's small and I wear it often.
There were many gifts given when we moved to Florida. Our son wanted the bisque nativity that I made the first year I was married. DDIL got 3 family quilts. DD received the crocks that had belonged to our grandparent and also my crystal. Other DD received pottery and porcelain pieces from the Irish side of the family. I'm glad I gave them those things while I'm alive and to see them glad about it.

Ann Hope Brownie is better.
Kelcy isn't worse but I am running him out every two hours. He doesn't cry so don't think he is in pain so will call the vet in the morning and hope he can see us right after line dance class --if not then I will just have to cancel the class but hate to do that at the last minute. My vet does not have week end hours at all. The emergency Vet is close but minimum charge is $200 and they take your credit card before looking at the pet. So would probably be over $400 to go there. We took Molly there several times but she was 19 so very old and we hung on to her too long. Kelcy is 8.-9 . He is eating and alert so decided this could wait.
I think I mentioned that my DDIL family in Tennessee was hit by tornadoes at the time the fires were going on. Jeff and Linda have decide to not do Christmas and to send the money to them. That was a great idea and I sent them a check.
There is just so much sadness and need. We are very fortunate and thankful.

For the few of you that may remember Darlene (Thompson) Cupp from Sr WW's Challenge message board...she had 2 major surgeries in San Diego. The reason for surgery is not been disclosed but she has been in considerable amount of pain. She is in ICU and according to her daughter needs help to recover. Any prayers offered on her behalf will be greatly appreciated.

I’m back. After the huge snowstorm yesterday, today was warm and all our snow melted. Yay!
Sandy, good for you for noticing that scheduling problem and getting it changed. Crazy for them to do that in the first place.
Jane, what awful news about Sharon TN. I have missed her posts so much. Thanks for posting. I think she is a FB friend of mine but I have not kept up with it, so did not see that notice.
So many of our present and past friends are suffering. Sending healing thoughts to all.
Karen, I posted a few times on that goals thread and it really helped me get things done. Please do start one!
I love quinoa, Ruth. Thanks for those recipes.
Hoping Brownie and Kelcy are doing better. The two of you are so caring with your animals.
Good quinoa suggestion too Marlo!
Joanne, I’m surprised it was so cold in ME today when our weather was so balmy. Thank goodness you have heat again.
Has anyone else been watching the Shakespeare series on PBS “The Hollow Crown?” It is excellent. Chock full of good acting by the likes of Judi Dench, Benedict Cumberbatch, Michael Gambon, and Sally Hawkins. I find I get so much more out of Shakespeare at this point in my life than when I first encountered his works. That is true with so many art forms, but it took adulthood for me to really “get” Shakespeare, and each time I go back I get even more. Perhaps if I had had better literature teachers when we covered his works in public school I would have done better then. I highly recommend this series, and look forward to tonight's showing of "Henry VI, Part II."
Have a great evening all.

Jane, Sorry for calling Kelcy "she". I could not remember that Kelcy is a "he". Glad it was not an emergency. Hope he is feeling better and your line dancing class before taking him to the vet.
KC, I did not know Darlene (Thompson) Cupp but sending prayers for her relief from pain and that she may heal quickly.
I had sent Cindy a private message when we moved to the new board but since she did not respond I thought she wasn't interested. After receiving a private message from Joanne I posted the link to her FB page before I had come to these boards tonight and saw that she did respond to Gail's private message.. Either way she should be able to find us easy enough.

I am having a hard time finding and getting to this board. I cannot find Monday. I was able to sign up but is there an easy way to find you? Now that I have signed up I have no clue how to find you each morning. When you girls have time if you see this please explain. I would love to rejoin the group.
Ruth I did see that message that you sent but was not sure if it was spam because it wanted me to go to another link. That's why I did not respond. I have been wondering about you guys for a while now. Hope to figure this out so I could become a daily member with your help I'm sure it will happen. I get frustrated easily when it comes to technology LOL

Cindy, scroll to the top of this page. There is a white section where you see Over 60. Click on that and you will see all the threads listed. We are all SO happy to have you back.
Let us know how you are doing especially with your lung issues. Sharon

Guys I just noticed that I left off the 1 in the date for today but fixed it. So instead of saying Monday 12/9 it now says Monday 12/19 like it should. Sorry about that!
