Hi everyone! I'm checking in.
I've been tracking EVERYTHING for the last three days. Points eaten have been going down each day, so let's hope that stays true for day 4.
I think it's a tough time of year for everyone. Spring is weird. Hard to manage. Good luck to you all!

New to this site. I feel I have 70 pounds to lose and that has to be a lot in anyone's opinion. I am 72 and three joint replacements so it is not an easy journey for me. My goad is .5 lbs a week or 2 a month. So far April has been a total bust! I'm ready to get serious and work on this.

Good morning
gerimawa, welcome! I have about 65 to lose. I need to get serious too. Hope you are doing well after the joint replacements.
irisinnia, good for you tracking!! Good to see you.
dotren, I don't think I have tried them. I like the Brachs classic ones.
Waving to all
Rainy day today. Not sure what I will do.

Good morning everyone! gerimawa Welcome! Glad you found us! That sounds like a very reasonable goal. I'm getting back on track slowly but surely. I am 63 away from goal, so you'll have some company if you want it on your journey! sunrose49, Thank you! Sorry about the rainy day. That certainly makes outdoor activity less desirable. Here's hoping for sunshine tomorrow! DotRen, How are things going? What are you up to this weekend? All these spring activities snuck up on me. cj59, How about you? How are things? I'm excited for a new month. I need a restart. Now... was it one of you that was making their own Kombucha? Because I just got some store-bought Kombucha and oh my goodness, it's delicious! I read that you're only supposed to drink 12 oz a day, which is a shame because I was going to get a scoby and make gallons of it but I might have to just figure out a balanced way to fit it into my life... which doesn't seem to be a strong suit of mine. lol Anyway, yesterday, was another high point day... bummer, but today has been fantastic! Little numbers like 5 and 6 as opposed to meals that are 11, and 14. lol I'm on my way! Good luck to you all on your journeys! Enjoy the weekend!

Hello Everyone
gerimawa - Welcome to the thread. Wishing you the best with your weight loss journey. I've had several of the last months as a total bust so I'm ready to get serious too. We'll all just have to support each other
sunrose - Hope you don't get too much rain, I'm supposed to get some too.
irisinnia - Wishing you a low point day
DotRen - Hope things are going well for you. Are you going to the farm market this weekend?
I'm still eating badly, but getting in my steps and trying to hold onto some of my good habits. I definitely need to get myself back on track in May. I'm still thinking about joining WW again, just not sure yet that I'll commit to going to meetings each week and I don't want to start and then stop after only a few. Maybe I'll be able to do it myself again.
Hope everyone else checking in is doing well on their plans and that you all have a great weekend!

irisinnia , DotRen , gerimawa , sunrose49 , cj59 , Hello! Went to see the Avengers today, awesome movie. Lots of funny lines, some tears -no spoilers -just a very emotional movie if you're a fan and have seen them all (except antman, for whatever reason, I just could not get into that story line lol). Tomorrow: install a new dryer, get some tomato plants so I can kill them (my thumb is not brown, it's a death sentence for plants lol). Oh and I didn't even have popcorn at the movies, or my weakness: junior mints lol

Good morning
irisinnia, I don't know what Kombucha is so it wasn't me....lol
cj59, all we can do is keep trying. I think May will be a better month for the both of us ;-)
dotren, never heard of eggroll in a bowl. I love eggrolls so I will check it out. I need to get my tomato plans soon.
Waving to all
No plan for today. I've been really lazy lately. Need to get my b*tt in gear!

sunrose49, just brown some ground meat (turkey, pork, beef, shrimp, whatever) with garlic, ginger, salt, pepper and lite soy sauce, then add in a bag or 2 of shredded cabbage (cole slaw blend) and cook until it wilts. You can use other seasonings, but I stick with the classic eggroll filling type

Hello Everyone - Hope you are enjoying the weekend and doing well on your plans.
DotRen - good luck with the tomato plants. I'm glad you enjoyed the movie. I love Junior Mints too
sunrose - I've been lazy too, but I think sometimes we need that when our lives have been busy.
It's been several years since I've grown any tomatoes, or any kind of plants, I should think about trying some in a container this year. If someone would just do the potting for me - I really hate doing yard and landscape type things. I do have one peony in a container and I try to take care of that.
I don't have anything good to say about how I've been doing with my eating and the saying is "if you don't have anything good to say, don't say anything"
Take care everyone!

Good morning cj59, try a tomato plant already in a pot. I saw some nice ones at Lowes recently. Too funny on not saying anything. dotren, thanks for letting me know how to fix the dish. Sounds yummy! Yard work and walking will be my day. Yesterday I bought my son's birthday dinner (even though his birthday is tomorrow--that's what he wanted to do). He picked the Olive Garden. I got the shrimp scampi. It was good, but then I had 3 bread sticks Waving to all

irisinnia, I am the kombucha maker! I love it so much, but it's so expensive to buy. Sometimes it's almost $5 a bottle here. I drink more than 12 oz a day frequently with no ill effects. I drank a 750 ml growler (over 25 oz) of it the other day and it was glorious. The health food store near my office has it on tap! I actually got out of making it for a while and I'm working on rehabilitating my SCOBY. It was way thick, so I cut it down and have started a new batch. Last time I did this, the batch wasn't too good, so I ended up putting it on hold for another long time, but this time, I'm committed to starting back up again. It will probably take a few batches until my balance is right and I'm getting the full bodied kombucha I was getting before I took my hiatus but that's ok. I make about 2 gallons at a time. My whole family loves it. Let me know how you make out if you decide to try it!

wwlurker, Awesome! Thank you for all the awesome info. I'm so new to this idea I know nothing about prices or who carries it. I definitely want to start making some. I'll probably have to wait until mid-May, because my schedule is absolutely crazy town right now. But I will definitely let you know how it goes! I had the dragonfruit/raspberry - delicious. Then the ginger/lemon - that ginger packed way more of a punch than I would like. What flavors do you make? sunrose49, Those breadsticks get me every time. Good choice with the shrimp scampi though! Great job on the yard work and walking! cj59, Yardwork isn't my thing either. I just started WW meetings again. I am using iTrackBites and just trying to recreate that feeling I had when I was successful. I hope you find something that helps you feel motivated in May! DotRen, Nice work at the movies! For some reason, tomato plants grow amazing where I live. I don't take care of them, but my husband just puts them in a pot with drip lines and they grow like weeds. I'll definitely have to get some this year, since we've started cooking more with tomatoes. I've started making fresh salsa every week since I got back on track. Thanks for sharing the egg roll in a bowl! cj59, DotRen, Did someone say Junior Mints?!?! I went out drinking on Saturday night and the scale certainly shows it... yikes! But the last time I drank was last year at the same event, so I think my waistline will survive. I just gotta slog through this week with a gain. *sighs*
