Elizabeth Warren is being very vocal about her call for impeachment. I'm hearing a lot of talking heads saying the same. That there is too much wrong doing documented in the Mueller report to not impeach. That if impeachment is not pursued it sets a bad precedent for future administrations. What do you think? Personally, I'd like nothing better than to tar and feather the whole lot of them starting with the JA and run them all out of the country not just out of town, but I'm still leery of impeachment not because he doesn't deserve it but because I see it as a losing proposition. There's no way a conviction will ever get through the Republican Senate, so what's the point? I see it as possibly being a distraction from the real goal. We need him voted out of office. I'd rather see Democrats use this time to actually work toward getting some things accomplished. Let's see something done about infrastructure, let's see something done about healthcare and the exorbitant price of drugs. Let's see something concrete done about protecting the integrity of our future elections. There is so much to be done, and even if Republicans in the Senate block it at least it's a start and people can see that Democrats are moving forward. Starting impeachment proceedings that can't be won to me makes us look like we're just mired down in the muck. What do you think? Do you see it differently?

nashville11, "Starting impeachment proceedings that can't be won to me makes us look like we're just mired down in the muck." I agree. It also makes the Democrats look like "sore losers" which *I* think will lose votes. I don't know what the answer is, and I wish people would read between the lines, but it's hard to do that with blinders on about DT. They can't be that blind, but they seem to be

I am going through a real slump of discouragement. No matter how bad it gets, nothing seems to change. I would hope the release of the Mueller report would wake some people up, but my fear is Trump's base, and the weak GOP Senators and Representatives will turn a blind eye.

Luanne, I think they already have turned a "blind eye" & have been doing it forever!. I totally share your discouragement!
I was sitting on the fence about impeachment, but I'm now leaning "go for it". No matter what the Dems do, they will get criticized by the GOP, the supporters, etc I think Mueller was sending a message to Congress. JA & his family are slime. They slither out of every situation they get into because no one holds them accountable. If the House of Rep job is to impeach a President they think is doing wrong for this country, then do it. If they don't, & something goes terrible wrong because no one stood up to this President, who will get the blame?!? The Democrats, because it was their job to Impeach. You know those nasty GOP Congressman will be pointing the finger either way. So, I say give them another finger! Either way the Democrats are damned if they do & damned if they don't. So, my feeling is, Impeach the SOB if you can because no one's mind has really been changed that much on the other side by Muellers Report. I think there is a whole more out there that we probably don't even know about & maybe going after him thru Impeachment might make a difference. I don't know, just my thought at this moment in time. It could change, but, its not looking good for the Democrats for 2020.

Technically I think the congress has the right and responsibility to impeach. However, based on the results of past impeachment attempts it would be a mistake. I have to go political on this one and not law based.

So, I say give them another finger! Yeah! I love it. lol. Sadly, all it will do is make us feel better for a moment. I don't think it will change a damn thing. I agree with Warren in principle, but I also believe it's just another waste of time and distraction while this monster continues to destroy the world, gain power and control, divide people, and shred our Constitution. The deck is stacked against fairness and decency. I honestly believe they're evil people. So, while it's not PC to call them evil I really don't care. He's an evil monster and so are his supporters. Well, besides being blind and stupid fools. Mueller dropped the ball. Very disappointing. Was he afraid of getting a nasty tweet, called a nasty name, threats to his family? He will get away with this. He will get away with anything. He's the Boss. This whole damn thing was a waste of time and money and a futile attempt at building hope and expectations. I never for a half a minute thought justice would be served. This is nothing but the same old same old. Hasn't this monster already wasted enough of our time, money, and spirits? I'm tired of this 24/7 stupid reality show already! This isn't politics. This is a game show and we can't win. Mindless nonsense that keeps us distracted and numb. There are no old time republicans. The Republican Party we once knew was buried with McCain. Maybe there's a few willing to speak up but they'll be tweeted out of existence, mocked, and shunned. We don't have a president. We have a mad dictator. The hand writing was on the wall all along. Honestly, did anyone sincerely think he'd be anything more than a ego maniac media hog who needs attention and loves to fire and degrade people? Pure evil. Evil is like that pillow case full of feathers on your front porch. Once you open it and shake all those feathers out into world it's impossible to get them all back and contain them. It's not just US. Nationalism, violence and hatred is popping up all over the world. See? We're not that different after all.

Impeach or don't impeach? It's a difficult question, and I'm not sure there is a right answer anymore. Like all of you, I am just feeling totally discouraged. Republicans just don't seem to care what he does. Mitt Romney says he's "disgusted" after reading the report, but we all know that doesn't mean a damn thing. He's already shown us that he's ready to flip flop at the drop of a hat, and all the other Republicans are just keeping quiet waiting for it to all fade away. Linda has a good point that Democrats are going to be blamed for what happens next no matter which way they go. It's all just an ugly mess, and yes I agree that this POS is totally evil.

It's all just an ugly mess, and yes I agree that this POS is totally evil. Yes, he is and so are his butt wipes who are pretending to be servants of The People. They don't care about the people they are being paid to serve. They're drunk with power and greed and it's obvious how much contempt they have towards those People. They treat us like annoying gnats buzzing around their puffed up heads. I don't know about you but it doesn't feel like a democracy. We might still have a voice but does it even matter if nobody is listening?

I fear DT will not be charged as the criminal he is until he leaves office. (Pray he only "serves" one term.) Then his lawyers will probably tie everything up in the courts until he's underground.

Lani, the words tied up and underground gave me an extremely satisfying visual. Thank you. I needed that.

I hate DT but they will make hay out of impeachment and rev up his base. I want to have Trump defeated and need dems unified. NP is having a phone conference tomorrow with the Dems i hope she can make it clear it helped Bill get elected again when he was impeached.
