I've never liked Franklin Graham. I think he and those like him do tremendous damage to the way Christians are perceived by so many. They set themselves up as standard bearers, when IMO they are anything but. Graham's latest attack on Mayor Pete is just disgusting to me, and as far as I am concerned it is many things, but Christian is most definitely not one of them. It offends me on so many, many levels. So my message for Franklin Graham and his ilk is that with your hypocritical, judgmental, condemnations you represent yourselves and your own ugly limitations. You do not represent Christians, you do not represent me, and most definitely you do not represent the teachings of Christ. "Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves." Matthew 7:15

nashville11 , I just hope that whoever ends up as the Democratic nominee that the entire party (and all of those disillusioned with Trump) can get behind and come out and vote. A big AMEN to that Luanne! One of the problems (among many) last time was that some Bernie supporters were so disillusioned they did not get behind Hillary. In many ways Bernie did get a raw deal last time around. I hope what happened to him last time does not happen to anyone this time around, but regardless of what happens and who gets the nomination it's absolutely imperative that we all come together and rally around the nominee, and most importantly of all that we all get out and vote for the nominee whoever that may be. As you all know I live in a very red state, but while there are many die hard supporters of the JA all around we are beginning to see more and more cracks in his hold on the voters here. A lot of people are disillusioned with him. DH was telling me that he was talking with an older gentleman in the checkout line at Home Depot yesterday. He and this man started talking as they waited, and somehow the discussion went to politics. Surprisingly this man voiced what we've all been saying, that no matter what we've got to get the JA out of office. This guy had voted for the JA, he's a Republican, but he wants him gone and the sooner the better. Of course as the conversation went on it turns out this guy was retired FBI, so maybe it's not so surprising after all that he's sick of what's going on with the JA. DH said he called him a "raving lunatic." LOL!

Best case scenario, a Democrat is elected president. But with the Supreme Court tilted right and Mitch McConnell and his ilk controlling the Senate, I fear all we can do is achieve gridlock. Which would be an improvement. Actually, I think foreign policy would improve and maybe even immigration with some of the hardliners out. But as far as environmental protection and social justice, I don't know how much we can recover.

It's almost funny that the JA opens up his first attack yesterday on Biden's presidential bid by "hoping he has the intelligence . . ." Personally, I wouldn't think Trump would want to compare intelligence with anyone. He could only come out on top in a comparison like that in his own deluded mind, but for him that's all that really exists.

I just can't get on the Biden train yet. Actually sitting in the station wondering what train to get on...LOL..I guess I'm just tired of the same ole people running for President. Sigh! I guess it really doesn't matter who I end up liking because it seems the Democrats Super Delegates make the decision anyway. Wish they would get rid of that in deciding who is nominee.
Spent the week working in the yard & it was so refreshing to not listen to much news. Now we are expecting snow the next couple days. UGH! You have to be a pretty tough plant to live in ND....LOL

Oh my Linda! More snow? Not just plants, but people must be pretty tough in ND. I don't think I'd manage very well. As for wondering what train to get on, I know the feeling. But when the convention is over, I'm going to be on whichever Democrat train is pulling out of the station. All I know for sure is that I want Trump gone--gone as far as he can get. I want him back up in the top of Trump Tower and if it were left up to me, he'd never come down again. He'd just stay up there in his golden penthouse and waste away like Howard Hughes. Apologies to Howard Hughes. And, I'd put all his family (except Barron) up there with him. Lock them all in, and throw away the key. Maybe I'd lock Steven Miller and SHS in with them too. I'm on a roll here! LOL!

I'd love to see DT versus Einstein.. no that this one, this one -and I think we all know who's more intelligent

Actually on the first ballot the super delegates don't have a say only when it gets to a second ballot do they have a say.

If I got to make the rules, at the conventions it would strictly go by number of votes received in the primaries. The person with the most votes would get the nomination. In the general election the same thing. The person with the most votes wins the election. But then, if I got to make the rules a lot of things would be different. Corporations would not be considered people. We'd do away with Super PACs. There would be strict limits on campaign contributions. Gee I can see a long list forming here. So much wrong with the system, and so unlikely anything is going to be changed about the system no matter who wins.

Trump and his incoherent ramblings are beginning to sound even more and more unhinged every day if that's possible. The man has absolutely no grip on reality, and I really do think he has a serious mental illness. I vacillate between thinking he's totally bonkers and wondering if somehow it's all some warped Machiavellian scheme. The truly scary part, however, is the many followers out there who latch on to his every word and actually believe it. The ones who feed off dark conspiracy theories. He deliberately feeds those, but is it because he deliberately is manipulating them or has he actually started to believe his own twisted rhetoric? Does he make-up conspiracy theories or does he really believe them?

That's how it should be - "we the people" need to have a voice, not "we the few get to make the choice for everyone".

It's like he has certain receptors in his brain that light up with interest when exposed to conspiracy. The more outlandish, the brighter the connection and greater the chance he'll push it. Honestly, I don't think he's intelligent enough to invent a conspiracy but, he's like a dog with a bone when he hears one. His attempts to suggest proof of a theory are always too clever by half.
I read an article this morning that posited the one lie that could be his undoing involves the recent bombshell that he secretly paid two million dollars to North Korea to get Otto Warmbier back. He swears he didn't do that *scoffs* Nothing like upending the long held policy that the U.S. doesn't negotiate with terrorists and despots. Scary to think what could happen now that that tidbit is floating out there.

Have you noticed lately, especially, how often he repeats words & phrases over & over in just a few minutes if not seconds. It was a "coup", "no collusion, no obstruction", "angry Democrats", "evil FBI", "crooked Hilary", etc....over & over & over. Its like he's trying to brain wash his supporters. Well, I guess he is. He must have voices in his head talking to him non stop. He struggles to come up with words beyond, big, bad, beautiful, you know it, I know it, best ever...My 3rd Grade Granddaughter can articulate so much better than him. He really is losing it. I think there is much more coverup going on within the WH to keep him from showing signs of mental decline.
I wonder what he thinks of Putin & Kim Jung Un buddying up...two's company, threes a crowd...LOL..I shoudln't laugh, this is all getting way to dangerous with him in charge!
Jared K. has an immigration plan?...I thought that was Steven Miller's area?

LOL! Jared seems to be the guy with plans for everything. I've lost track of all the things he's supposed to be the magic guru about. Meanwhile, does Ivanka even pretend to be actually contributing anything anymore?
