I'm hitting the ground bison tomorrow. I'm going to have to sauté up some kale in ghee to go with it, because it needs to be used before it goes bad and surprise surprise, I actually like kale now. I still haven't gotten my keto-mojo back and I'm stress eating, which will be my excuse until Friday. Here's to no more excuses!
Nice job on fitting into last summer's clothes, Chris!

Thanks Amy! Last summer's clothes were already on the bigger side and I was/am determined not to have to go any further sizes up. Made fathead hamburger rolls and they weren't half bad. It was just so good to have a hamburger on a roll! I didn't pack lunch today so will have to wing it -- probably a salad from chop't. Chris

Hi chris,! I like the fathead dough, but not too often - way too much cheese for me lol. amy, bison and kale sounds good 2 days of the beef thing is enough for me. I woke up with some pretty intense nausea and tested my ketones and was at 2.7 which (for me) is really high. If I go over around 1.7-2.0 I get nausea. So back to my normal keto/low-carb tomorrow.

amy, sorry about the high stress and hope it passes soon. I'm not yet there with kale, but anything cooked in ghee has to be good! DotRen, I watched the video and frankly, I'd rather be fat. If you're nauseous that's a sign that your body isn't happy, and who could blame it? I agree about the fathead dough -- and I don't really want to be substituting very much for high carb products -- but it's good to know it's there. I'll be going away for four days again soon and am finally at the point where I think I can leave my kitchen and still know what to eat/order out. It really helps to track everything religiously and I'm not sick of doing that (yet)! chris

Good morning! I finally found a quick and tasty solution for breakfast. Egg muffins are usually too eggy for me but this one is made with biscuit-y ingredients and freeze well. I put mine in muffin tins though the recipe doesn't call for it. Might be old news to long time low-carbers but new to me! low carb egg muffinschris

Well I guess a few days of the beef "fast" worked, I'm down 4 pounds this week. Not something I'd implement often, but it wasn't awful. Taking son to Texas roadhouse for lunch, I know I can eat low-carb there, but I may indulge in a couple of fried pickle peaces lol. They're very lightly breaded, so I'll overcount and call it 10g carbs for 4-5 pieces. Hope everyone has a great weekend

Ended up getting the prime rib instead of sirloin, after sending it back because it was pretty much raw (I ordered med/rare) and it came back a little over cooked, but was pretty good.

Nice on the weight loss, DotRen! How did you feel on it? I'm sure you've seen this video. I found it interesting because last week my stress level was through the roof and I'm sure it was because I went back to a LOT of carb eating. www.youtube.com/watch?v=VaEqoLOhOmEBack on track this morning and I already feel tons better. Now that classes are done (I was in school, just graduated), I have some extra time to refocus and hone Keto. Have a great day!
