Good morning.
Looks like we might get 🌞2 days in a row. Yay for a meltdown...snow that is.
Im contemplating working on my closet this morning. Lately, I've just been throwing stuff in there & it's a mess. I'll see how energetic I feel after I finish my cuppa joe.
Have a good one. BBL.

Good morning everyone. Our high yesterday was 86.That's too warm in February for even Central,TX.At least there was a good breeze so it wasn't too hot walking in the afternoon.
I have already had my 3 cups of hot tea and ready for today.Plans include a walk this morning, church,WM for a new litter box(for some reason the cat doesn't like it anymore)and another walk this afternoon before the rain rolls in tonight.
Have a great Sunday everyone!

Good morning.
Quiet day here - planning to do laundry, some errands, relax. It should hit 50 today and most of next week so I'll be happy to see all the snow melt.
Have a good Sunday all!

Checking in on a warm Sunday in VA. Laundry going and will get outside for a walk in a bit. Wanting to garden but do not trust the temps to stay this way so will wait patiently.

Good morning sullicat1 and @beckyw2016 Thanks for kicking us off Sulli and I was LOL'ing in that other thread. Yay for figuring it out. I think the main reason people are having issues is the pics you grab have to be from public sites, not closed groups so the thing that grabs it can actually access the photo. I love Maxine thanks for the laugh and yay for sun! @beckyw2016 is the kitty older? Sometimes that can mean she has a UTI or if you used a different litter maybe? Kitties are so picky, hope you figure it out! Have a great day everyone!

I wish it was 86F where I am, but instead it's still very cold with remnants of snow still on the ground.
Yesterday and today are just horrible for my husband and I. Devastating! We lost our beloved pet parrot (a Pacific Parrotlet) yesterday afternoon. He was almost 15 years old. It was especially difficult for us because we saw him pass. I had never had such a heart wrenching experience in my life. But I suppose we were lucky he reached 15. Most parrotlets only reach between 10-15. But deep down we wanted him to reach at least 20, although only if his health was good.
Our bird was basically our son. We have never had any other children. Many of you may not know the extreme intelligence and affection parrots can give. He was also quite a character. I have been home on disability for most of 12 years and I spent most waking moments with him. When he wasn't on or just around me he was in his cage watching over me, since I spent most of the day in the bedroom with him. Honestly, I don't think I have spent so many hours in 15 years with anyone as I did him.
I have bipolar disorder and for years suffered from it very greatly. Having a support such as my bird was crucial at helping to keep me sane at times. I even wrote about that in a brief love letter that was published in BP Magazine (Bipolar Magazine). He was a key to my happiness.
I have already experienced how little moments and rituals of the day that involved him have set off my crying sprees. My husband is crying very much too.
This afternoon my husband and I will take him to my father's woods and bury him next to our first pet parrot (who sadly only lived 2.5 years). We have a beautiful box for him with many sweet things he loved in it, including a photo of my husband and I. I hope if the two meet up they will fly together and maybe even meet up with mother, whom both liked very much. When the weather gets warmer I want to plant some flowers where he and my first bird rest.

cyndee So sorry at the loss of your beautiful pet and companion. Your story is very touching. I'm checking in... beautiful sunny and warm day here in NJ (headed up to 70...is it really still February??) I'll be having the granddaughters here for baking, crafts, silliness with gramma and a sleep-over. It's an annual thing I've done with them since they were 5 and 3 (now 13 and 11). I still have a headache (yesterday was a clear day) Thankfully the girls are old enough to do a lot themselves---am sure they will take good care of me!

cyndee, I’m so sorry for your loss. Losing our pets is heart wrenching for sure. sullicat1 & borntexan, I’m now jealous of your sunshine. We’ve had rain for days, terrible storm hitting tomorrow with worst on Tuesday, partially sunny Wednesday, sunny without qualifications on Thursday, and then more storms coming on Friday. ENOUGH ALREADY! Not only are all the reservoirs full, but the continued downpour is actually damaging several of them.
I made French toast for breakfast and I’m finishing my 2nd cuppa and will then launch myself. I may convince myself to go to the gym later. I made a nice chicken-vegetable soup with Navy beans yesterday which hit the spot, so that’ll probably be lunch today. Left over Corned Beef will round out the day for dinner. Maybe I’ll plan some of the week’s meals before the day is out. That’d be a good idea!

DebDoesWW,She is a little over 5 yo.We got her almost 2 yrs ago from the Bastrop Co Cattery.I just love what they named the building where they keep the cats. This morning she decided her box was good enough to pee in.Go figure.I bought a different brand of litter the other day and will change it out and clean it out before changing the litter. She normally isn't picky about anything. She is well behaved and won't eat anything buy dry cat food. She won't even drink milk. cyndee,I'm so sorry.I am also bi-polar and have never had any kids so I understand they can become our babies. zazzles,We are supposed to be getting a small part of your rain tonight into tomorrow morning. It was cloudy, breezy and 73 when I took my first walk so it wasn't so bad.The sun is trying to come out so it may reach 80 after all.I feel sorry for all the runners in the Austin marathon/half marathon. It was supposed to be either the warmest start ever or the warmest start in 20 years. BBL.Time to get ready for church since I guess I can't wear my shorts there.
