This is a monthly thread for those of us who have a lot of weight to lose. The definition of “a lot” is something that is determined personally, so everyone who feels they have a lot of weight to lose is welcome to post here.
Please join us in offering support, checking in for accountability, help with questions, etc. We’re in this for the long haul.
We’d also love to hear from those of you who are maintaining a large loss. We need those tips to help us to keep the weight off once we lose it

1. Orientation is after the meeting
2. Meets are usually 30 minutes
3. At my place you can weigh how you like, but no bare feet on the scale. I take my shoes off and either have socks on or bring a sheet of typing paper.
4. Yes
5. They have both. I do the monthly pass so I can always look up my weight, last WI, etc. I also have a book that they write in the loss/gain.
Hope that helps

Yesterday was my son's actual birthday. He has been sick. Finally going to the doctor this morning. MEN! He should have gone 3 days ago. But hey he is 40 now. lol

Last night I binged on ice cream and this morning I woke with a new resolve to shape up and not do that again. Yogurt and berries for breakfast and a stir fry for lunch.

Hello Everyone - Welcome to a new month
sunrose - Hope your son is better soon.
Thanks so much for answering my questions. I'm trying to work myself up to going to meetings, I'm still not completely sure I'll go, but I appreciate the information. I like to think about things for awhile before I actually do them
DotRen - Hope you don't get too much rain. I'm supposed to have temps in the 80s the next few days - too hot for me.
gerimawa - Congratulations on your new resolve and a planning a good breakfast and dinner.
irisinnia, wwlurker, and anyone else checking in - Hope you all doing well on your plans.
I'm still working on my walking and hoping to eat a lot healthier this month.

Good morning
dotren, thanks he is still sick, but at least went to the doctor yesterday--men! Hope you don't get the really bad storms moving east.
gerimawa, good for you on a new resolve. I made one too after eating two pieces of cheese cake last night--what the heck!
cj59, I do the same thing. I have to think about things and when I take action I'm usually pretty pleased.
I hope to walk on the towpath this morning with my friend. My son finally went to the doctor yesterday and has walking phenomena and bronchitis.

sunrose - I'm sorry to hear about your son, those are pretty serious medical conditions. I hope he'll take care of himself and that he gets well soon. I'm sure you'll help him Hope you were able to get your walk in. I made a big salad this morning, that I'm planning to eat with some chicken for dinner. I'm trying to make sure to get my fruits and vegetables, since I cut them out whenever I get off track. Hope everyone else is doing well on their plans and just doing well in general

Good morning
Thanks for the well wishes for my son. He made it back to work today. He is much better.
cj59, good idea to make the salad ahead of time. I am bad about f/v so I should cut stuff up too.
Waving to all. Going to a dog party today at my neighbors. Will not take mine since she doesn't like being around a bunch of dogs at one time.
Hope everyone has a great Saturday!!

Hello Everyone - Hope you are all doing well and enjoying the weekend sunrose - Hope you had a good time yesterday and get in your TM time. I'm glad your son is better. It's been rainy and humid here too, so I mostly stay in. I don't like the warmer weather, I have to really motivate myself to exercise this time of year and in the summer.

Good morning
cj59, I don't like the heat either. I actually got out for a couple walks when the rain stopped long enough to do so.
Waving to all
I met step goal yesterday. Hope to do the same today. Got in lots of water too!! Wow also a fruit/veggie ;-)

Hi all,
I have a lot to lose and am just three weeks in. So far I figure I am losing lots of water weight. But I'll take it! I am so stunned I am finally loosing weight I haven't given much thought to a goal pounds wise. My focus has been to stick to my points and keep moving. We are moving to Montana in about a year and I do hope to be in best shape I can to enjoy all those beautiful hiking trails. So far I walk two miles a day and I would like to be able to take a six mile hike with some ease.
So I will be here and I am glad you are also.
Linda
