I'm back after many years.
I didn't go the official route because I was going to retry the Momentum plan in which I had good success years ago. My app gave me the option to try a generic freestyle so I thought I would try this first. So far I like it. My app runs a calorie counter as well and I am staying well below target most days.
I do cook for myself, mainly whole foods, so I suspect this is going to work for me. I lost just over 3 pounds the first week and weigh myself again tomorrow. The one thing I noticed right away is that I get enough protein and can choose just enough fat to control my hypoglycemia. I don't really miss the sugar as I am always trying to limit for blood sugar swings.
The only thing I was missing was a sense of community, which I hope to find here...
