Spotty showers today and then a nice break in the weather the next two days. I’m LOL at that because this morning our local news weatherman said we’re going to have a winter storm for the next five days. All of the news anchors did a double-take at that description. Apparently we can expect upt to 2.5” over the five days…trivial for Texas, I know, but a lot for us. zazzles, Oh what a bummer you threw your back out again. If (like last time) it still hurts more laying down than standing, try tucking a pillow or two under your knees to alleviate the pressure. That seems to help me. Thanks all for the well wishes. Doordie, this time it hurts to stand and sit. Laying down quietly is the only time it doesn’t pain me…then and for a couple of hours after I medicate with Ibuprofena and Valium. Sure has killed the appetite. So far today I’ve had one WW Choclate Caramel mini bar and one WW Dark Chocolate Raspberry minibar. And I’m sipping a can of Diet Coke right now. Work is fast and furious downtstairs. I have no idea what they are doing except making lots of noise with power tools and hammers. I **think** they must be installing dry wall. I presume that means that the inspector came this morning and approved the work so far. I **must** work my way downstairs after they leave to bring some food upstairs and make sure things are locked up. I’ll get a sneak peak of the progress at that time.

zazzles, That definitely sounds like mini-fridge food. Hope your apatite returns and your back feels better. Oh! and peeking at progress is a must!

Thanks doordie50 and fullmahina.Scooter has been having issues with keeping her food down for about a week and the last few days she has been shaking her ears and scratching them. When she couldn't keep down her dry kibble I knew it was time to get her to the vet.We caught an ear infection at the start of it before it got too bad.As far as not keeping food down whether it's kibble or human treats the vet said she eats inside then goes outside and eats the green grass caused by all this rain and then it all comes back up.He said his dog is doing the same thing minus the ear infection. We have ear drops for her plus a powdered probiotic to mix in with her dry food.We want to get a better brand of kibble before we use the probiotic though.I don't know how to keep a mostly outside dog from eating grass but hopefully something will give. zazzles I hope you get your appetite back and feel like eating soon and your back feels better too.

Snuck downstairs. Good thing: patio door was left unlocked, deadbolt on front door was also unlocked.
Inspected the work: the kitchen has walls! Progress photos posted.
Made it to the refrigerator and brought some food upstairs.

borntexan, I'm glad you got Scooter to the Vet; hope the medicine helps the ears. Not sure how to stop him from eating grass though. zazzles, the kitchen looks great. I'm impressed with how quickly the changes are coming. I hope the work crew continues to work at such a quick pace. Hope your back is improving.
