Anyone notice more cutbacks at meetings?

Okay, I had an online chat with WW tonight about the charms/bling. Here is what she said.

"The milestone charms have never left. The only thing that went away is 5 pound stickers."

When I said that I thought they had been discontinued she responded:

"Nope! They were revamped and better than ever!"

When I asked whether there would be special charms for weeks of attendance like in summertime or the holidays:

"Good stuff coming very soon, stay tuned!!"

And finally, when I asked if they would be going back to giving out key rings and charms at meetings she said:

"There will be certain occasions, yes."

So I guess we shall be seeing more bling at the workshop/meetings.

Getting rid of the attendance charms just always seemed to me to be...unwise.

I guess the reasoning was something like this:

1. Most people are on monthly pass so pay whether or not they attend meetings
2. We can have less staff at smaller meetings
3. Having monthly pass members paying but not attending meetings is a win-win
4. Why would we want to do a charm that would encourage people to show up when we would just as soon they pay and NOT show up?

Of course there are problems with this.

1. When we got the attendance charms I enjoyed them and often came when I would not have otherwise showed up. Once the charms went away, there went a major reason for me to come to meeting. I let my monthly pass lapse.
2. Even if smaller meetings do need less staff, you also sell less stuff. I did buy some of the snacks and other products when I was attending. WW made more than enough money from those sales to pay for a lot of charms
