Time to sit and read a bit. I hope I stay awake long enough.

June Thanks for the hug.Things are trying to get back to normal.
I finally received a call from the ortho's office. My injections are in his Austin office.I have an appointment next Thursday later in the afternoon at their satellite office.I have never dealt with such unprofessional staff who didn't even think to follow through on hurting patients.I am glad it will only be one shot in each knee because I don't plan on going back to see this doctor again. When I called back this afternoon to talk to the lady I had been dealing with she was evidently at lunch and the facility mgr said something about injections for other people had been delivered but they couldn't put their hands on them and didn't know if mine was in that delivery.Unbelievable was my reaction but my main reaction is God is good.He always prevails.

I am spoiled...weather here is usually not so horrible. It can be hot and humid in summer but more so in the cities on the beach than up at our slightly higher elevation. It was 94 yesterday and didn't go down much at night...actually hotter at night than during the day. I have the fans blowing and used the AC last night. Usually can leave windows open and have the fan on and be happy with a sheet or light cover. This was NOT true in Saudi Arabia! Hopefully the heatwave will pass...eventually.
Today is all about conserving energy and hydrating. Will cook some Christmas Lima beans and call it good

Good morning all. Becky I can't believe how unprofessional that office is! I don't blame you one bit for not wanting to go back once you get the injection. I fired one of my bc surgeons and staff as they were NOT professional at all. My final surgery was with another surgeon at another facility. It's bad enough being in pain without dealing with those that cop the 'god complex'. Sending warm hugs your way. Safe travels, Audrey. Wow on the 20 hour time difference! Cathy that's hot! Glad you are in a place where the weather is better. What are Christmas lima beans? We had a horrible thunder/lightening rain storm late last night. The lights flickered but TG they did not go off. Right now it's sunny out. Not sure what's on the agenda for today. I know I'll plan and track my day and weather permitting get in a few hood walks. I'll try to avoid the street sweeper Waving and wishing all a wonderful Friday. Will CBL

Ann Glad that you were able to walk after the street cleaning unit left early. Becky Am happy that your shots are scheduled, and then you can switch to a more organized office.
Audrey That's a grueling travel schedule. Sorry to hear you can not sleep on a plane. Cathy Nice that you have more comfortable weather than other areas nearby. Mmm... Lima beans sound good to me.

67* now, mid-70*s later, sunny, but breezy/windy (I'll take it!).
DivaTaxi ran already; MHMR is off-duty (MissMouse has the day off - only MousekeTWO has school). DaBoyz will be coming here when DDIL leaves for work; township schools are closed. I have LA-F PT at 9:30 AM.
So... today's plans... <hahahahaha>... <plans>... after I get back from PT I will take the Zigster to look for plants for my raised planter (and also for him to replace the school plant-sale marigolds that didn't do well - that seems to have been a repeating theme in both elementary schools). I'd also like to go to the cemetery to visit my dad's grave.
Then we're going back to Son#1's house to do some yard work so he can head out to soccer tournaments this weekend with the yard off his to-do list.
Son#1 expects to have a short work day so he'll be back on duty after he gets home and goes to the grocery store. And then we're back here. I slow-cooked a turkey breast yesterday so our dinner protein's all set.
Now? I need coffee... βββ... and breakfast...
πΏπΉπΏπΉπΏπΉπΏπΉπΏ Have a healthy-eating day, all. πΏπΉπΏπΉπΏπΉπΏπΉπΏ

Friday's goals Will double check the weather. Likely to weed the side planting areas & spread mulch. Today may be are only dry day, do maybe R& I will have a fire outside. R is talking about smoking something... myself, I would pass on that unless we are talking a smoked turkey breast or lean eye of round.

Mj Another busy day in Divaland even though there are some breaksfrom your routines. Have you now have a reliable trainer at LA Fitness? Happy plant hunting. Wow, marigolds always seem so hardy.

Howdy Gang!DD goes home today. It has been an awesome visit. she will be back Monday to take me to Texas Tuesday, and her DD will drive us to Houston. I am so blessed by my family.
Glad to say my WI was in the zone. Not sure what I weighed last Friday, I know it was up, but can't find where I wrote it down --- if I did. Getting me out of my rut is a bad thing. LOL
Was gonna hire some guys from a recovery center here to move my sofa, washer and dryer back in the house --- but DGS and wife stopped by yesterday afternoon --- and they did it. My washer even needed new hoses and they went back to town, got them and installed them. So, yep, this morning I am doing laundry.

No time to read the personals. Will try to be back later.
Hope ALL have a great day!

MJ you sure know how to keep busy LOL. Enjoy your day.
June I'm with you on smoked meats. I like them occasionally. Carl on the other hand LOVES all smoked meat. Like you I prefer the leaner cuts.
I need to don the AWARE glasses and WILLING shoes for this week. My day starts out good.....need I say more......I will get meself back to pick up more fresh produce and go from there. I ran out of the petite baby carrots and found crackers instead....sigh....
I just read in our daily newspaper that there will be 1.5 million more people on the road this holiday season. I laughed and said well there will be two LESS as I have no yearning desire to add to that mix/mess. In town errands are about all I can tolerate.

Ann Exactly regarding the smoked meat. And, honestly, it gets expensive being the ones supplying the meat for family "dos." My sentiments exactly about MD travels. The most I would be willing to drive isabout 1/2-1 hrs away.
Bee j Congrats on being "zoned"! Loved that you are surrounded w/ attentative & helpful family members. Wonderful to have all your things back in there place & your washer & dryer working properly!
