Does anyone remember the Freedom Plan and how it worked? I think you could save exchanges for a weekend splurge. I also think fruit was free. Maybe 1990's?

I’m not familiar with the “Freedom Plan,” but I did research the “Exchange Plan” a couple of years ago. I was able to find a WW cookbook for the exchange plan through my local library and subsequently ordered a used copy from Amazon for a low price. The exchange plan had daily exchanges for milk, fats, vegetabes, protein, additional items, optional calories, and combination foods. It included a weekly bonus of up to 14 personal selections from the fruit, milk, protein, and bread lists. There were 700 total optional calories that could be consumed through the week.

That was the plan I lost my weight and became lifetime on! I followed it for about 10 years after WW switched to points.
I still have my trackers lol

I remember The Freedom Plan. It was the plan right before points were introduced, and it was the plan I was most successful on in my whole life. Oh how I wish I had saved all my materials! But yes, like everyone I got sucked into points. Reading these posts makes me want to look for it on eBay. A friend of mine ordered The Pointsplus plan in great condition, so who knows. I may find it yet.

Sounds like it might be a form of calorie cycling where you eat low calories most of the time and have a high calorie day to "shake things up".

Yes! I am looking to use this again and need my Week 1 book. It was the best diet! Healthy and easy to stick to and calculate. I still have the trackers and weeks 3 and beyond, but if anyone knows how to get week 1 and 2 booklets, please let me know.

I remember the Freedom Plan. I loved this plan. It was the first WW plan to introduce free fruit, along with our free veg. I believe it was the last plan before points were introduced.

Hi everyone, I actually have the 1 & 2 of freedom plan and currently going to start. If there is enough of you I may be able to take to a copystore and have books made but everyone would have to pay fees.
