Good morning cj59, the soup sounds yummy! I thought of you yesterday at the grocery store when I wanted to buy something that was not the best. I didn't do it ;-) I forgot to get the airfryer out. Thanks for the reminder I am doing it now. Dotren, how are you doing? It is humid here this morning...ugh So humid already Walked yesterday on the towpath and saw some really cool birds. A pilated woodpecker, owl, eagle and 2 adult Canadian Geese with their babies. I met my step goal yesterday, but not sure about today. I did get in a salad yesterday and some blueberries.

*waves* We had a lot of rain yesterday. Just a bit west of here had 11 inches in about 7 hours. We didn't have that much, but it rained pretty steadily from around midnight until 2pm. Sunny today though Until later anyway -but it promises to be a beautiful weekend. CJ I'll have to look for the De monte zucchini, that sounds like something I'd really like

Hello Everyone sunrose - good for you avoiding the bad foods at the store I enjoy watching birds too. DotRen - I hope you don't have any problems with flooding and the rain stays away for you to enjoy the weekend I'm doing well and staying on track. I haven't had any cravings for junk food and I hope I can stay that way. Hope anyone else checking in is doing well on their plan.

Hello Everyone - Hope you are all doing well I'm starting to notice how much better I'm feeling now that I'm not eating all the sugar and fat filled foods. It's amazing how those things zap your energy. I'm pretty much tracking calories right now and basing my plan on the GHGs. I decided that maybe one day a week or every two weeks, I'll fit in a fast food sandwich if I want one and. I found that eating the same amount of calories every day eventually stalls my weight loss because my body adjusts, but mixing it up with a higher calorie day helps. I did that the last time around using the Wendie plan and was very successful when I had a lot of weight to lose. It just doesn't seem to work as well with less weight to lose. I'm still putting a dollar in my jar every night when I have an on track day - I'll be rich buy the end Hope everyone enjoys their weekend!

Good morning! Today is my darling sons 29th birthday DH and I are going to the farmers market this morning and then coming home and taking him to lunch. He won't like his gifts lol - they're for actual grownups! An amazon gift card and a 4 piece set of tile trackers ( like these ) because he is always misplacing his keys, wallet, phone, etc lol. Hoping the market has turnips and beet greens today Other than that and eggs, not really sure I need anything. I saw that they may have a cheesemaker today, so that could be interesting cj59, that's awesome Paying attention to how you feel when you add or eliminate foods really helps sunrose49, hope you don't get too much rain. Ours is out of the area because of a high pressure dome over the area, but it's either rain or high heat indexes.. can't win lol.

Hello Everyone sunrose - Hope you have a nice time visiting with your sister and a safe trip. DotRen - Hope you found some goodies at the farmer's market. I went out today and was planning to get that fast food sandwich but the traffic in the area was so bad I just decided to pass on it. I did feel a little bit irritated that I feel like I have to plan everything out that eat and can't just be spontaneous and eat something I want. It's when I get those feelings that I start to struggle, but I stayed on track today and hopefully I can continue. It helps that there is nothing in the house to eat but "good" food, so I'm not really tempted to overeat on those. Hope everyone else checking in is doing well on their plans and having a good weekend.

CJ: Just eggs and baguettes lol. I don't know if we were early, or if the flooding earlier this week kept some vendors away. There were a lot of crafters, but not many produce ones. Your idea of just keeping "good" food at home is a great one. It makes it a lot easier to stick to your plan that way (says as I stuff more baguette into my 'cheat day' mouth lol) - I know it is, for me. I weigh "do I want it bad enough to go get it" lol

Good morning! New week:) Roast is in the crock pot for dinner, I cleared out the freezer a bit for an order of Sola hamburger buns that should be in tomorrow. Sola is a low-carb bread and the buns are new. I like the SmartBuns well enough but anything that is primarily almond flour and fiber is pretty dry and loses it's appeal after a while lol. I'm making egg roll in a bowl with ground turkey tomorrow for meal prep the rest of the week. Other than that and planning salmon tomorrow night, beef and broccoli stir fry Wednesday night, I haven't really planned well this week. Hope everyone is off to a great start this week!

Hello Everyone DotRen - I'm glad you can find good foods that work for your style of eating. I think you do very well with meal planning. I can't do more than a few days at a time and sometimes just one day at a time! I was in a crummy, irritated mood yesterday. I had all those thoughts and feelings about how unfair it is that I have to watch/count every piece of food I put in my mouth and that I have to drink a lot of water all day and get exercise. But fortunately I stuck to my meal plan. It really helps that there is no junk food in the house I decided to bite the bullet and weigh myself today, I haven't done that for a long while. I was so nervous it would be very bad and it was bad, but not as much as I'd anticipated - so that was a relief. At least now I have an idea of how much weight I want to lose (again!) and try to keep off this time. I'm not sure if I'll keep weighing every week, or maybe I'll do it every two weeks. I just don't want to get that "crazy" way I get with the number on the scale again. Hope everyone else checking in is doing well on their plans.

Just checking in for the day. I'm sticking to my food plan and realizing what a pain it is to count calories But I think I need to do that right now instead of points. I'm used to so many small things not being counted, it's kind of eye-opening when I see how many calories I was eating of those foods I didn't count. Hope everyone else is doing well on their plans

Good morning
I am back from my visit.
dotren, Happy "belated" Birthday to your DSon. I hope he had a good day.
cj59, it is hard having to watch all the time what we eat. I resent it sometimes too, but not as much as getting mad at myself for gaining (again--me too). Hang in there you are doing good.
Waving to all
I had a good visit with my sister, niece, brother-n-law and their friends. I ate wayyyyy to much and gained a couple pounds, but it is out of my system and I am back on track today.

sunrose - I'm glad you had a good visit with your family and a safe trip. I'm sure you'll be able to get rid of those pounds again I'm doing pretty well, but still dealing with some anger. This is about normal for me. I do well for a week or two when I get back on track and then I get angry for all the rules I have to follow and the sometimes uninteresting food to eat. But I need to stick with it this time so I can relieve my leg pain when I go out. Hope everyone else is doing well on their plans

cj, I hear ya on the anger. Hang in there. I carry so much weight in my stomach it hurts my lower back.

I totally blew last night. Pizza and cereal/milk later on. Ugh...a new day today.

sunrose - I'm wishing you luck with getting your weight off so you can relieve that back pain. We really have to focus on improving our health, don't we? Pizza is my favorite food, so I had to figure out ways to get it. I buy canned pizza sauce and put it on an English muffin or sandwich thin and add some shredded mozzarella cheese and it satisfies my desire for pizza - most of the time. I'm doing pretty well today. I'm going to make another big pot of vegetable soup and that usually gets me 3 days worth of servings. It's filling and low in calories. Hope everyone else checking in is doing well
