He needs to amend that statement "I alone can START it". Because that's all he does: start crap and then play the hero by pretending it was someone else fault and he "fixed" it.

What's this with Beto's proposal of a war tax for non-military families in order to pay for veterans healthcare? I admit I haven't read the proposal, just a short blurb about it but frankly it left me cold. But then Beto hasn't done anything to make me enthusiastic for him period. Absolutely veterans deserve the very best of healthcare. But a "war tax"? That's not a term I find very appealing. All Americans deserve the very best of healthcare, and certainly we have a tremendous debt and responsibility owed to veterans. But still levying a war tax against non-military families to pay for that doesn't strike me well. How about instead of doing stupid things like building a 14th century wall, we use that money for veterans. I am happy to pay my fair share, and I want top notch healthcare for every single person in this country. I'm even willing to pay higher taxes if that would be required, but I don't like the idea of a war tax. Frankly, unless we are attacked and have no other options I'm opposed to the idea of war period.

Bernie Sanders to unveil plan to cancel all $1.6 trillion of student loan debtOn the surface, I'm in favor of this (since my son still owes on hos loans!) but, I mean, it all comes down to "us" paying for it, as taxpayers. There's no sugar coating that fact. For students it's a real boon to not spend 10+ years after college paying back loans, I get that, believe me! Especially since a degree doesn't mean you get a well paying job with benefits any longer.

I"m also not in on Bernie's debt free college for "all"...I certainly think the college debt for students has to be addressed, but this isn't the answer, I don't believe.
I don't like Beto's proposal either. I think some of these candidates are "reaching" for any kind of plan to bring their numbers up in the polls.

Also so they will have policy talking points in the debate.

Count me in on being opposed to "free" college for all. I do think there should be a limit to the interest charged on student loans, and I do think there should be a way they can cancel the debt by doing things like teaching in areas where teachers are needed, providing medical services in under served areas, etc. But, no, I do not think it should be free. As a former teacher at the community college level, we went through some periods where old programs like CETA, etc. not only paid student tuition but even paid some of them to go to school. That was a total failure, because people came who were there for no other reason than to get the check. They were not interested in learning and were not interested in their future, but only wanted the check. Education is like most things, if it is "free" many people tend to not place much value on it. There are lots of ways to help underprivileged students who do want a higher education to get one. Let's provide more scholarship programs for example. Also, not everyone should go to college. We also need lots of people in vocational trades. Heck! A good plumber can easily make a lot more money than a teacher any day of the week. So we need to be putting money into and encouraging trade school education as well as "college" education. But none of it should be free. Every student should have to invest something themselves. Ultimately they'll value their education far more of it wasn't handed to them.

Tis the Season of unrealistic promises, promises. Yawn.
Wake me when it's over, please.
Makes me wish there really was a superman/woman. Someone who really practiced truth and justice and it truly was the American way.
Oh wait. That's only in comic books and dreams. Lol.

Hey, they're only children. Who cares?
The people that support the slime in the WH who is responsible for this abuse are the REAL baby killers! You know the people who taunt and scream at women entering a health care clinic. Those people. Where are they now? Where is the outrage? They are as phony as a 3 dollar bill.
Hypocrites! Disgraceful and demented phonies.
They are the people who should be locked up. Forever!
Lock him up and his supporters too!

I'm hearing rumblings about the JA possibly dumping Pence and replacing him with Nikki Haley. That's probably not going to happen, and I don't know if it would help him if it did. What do you think? Haley would be better than Pence I suppose. We know he has a reprehensible record. At one point I thought I might kind of like Nikki Haley, but that was before she sold her soul to the devil and joined Team JA. Now I have no respect for anyone who is willing to be associated with this administration. But would it help the JA to put her on the ticket in place of Pence?
Looking forward to the start of the debates tomorrow night.

Why in the world would Nikki Haley want to team up with JA..... I would hope she is smarter than that, but I too, felt many times she sided with JA & talked out of both sides of her mouth in defending him on several occasions. IMHO it would be a horrible decision to accept VP if it was offered to her. But who knows what political ambition does to people. I think she would be better off politically, staying as far away from JA as possible. But no one listens to me...LOL I wonder if JA feels things are closing in on him lately. The kids at the border, the rape allegation, Iran, etc. He looks horrible, like he isn't sleeping. Yesterday, the bags under his eyes were about down to his feet. He just looks damn grumpy & mad all the time lately. I fear he could go "off" any a time over the littlest thing, god help us all!

Where are the Right To Life people when children are stuffed in cages without proper health care, food, or water?
How come these lives don't matter? Where are the protesters? The anger at such cruelty?
Oh wait. Those other protest are not about children's lives at all. They are about control over womens lives.
Two faced obnoxious phonies.

Linda, I don't think any of those things bother him. If they did he would not have done any of them. As long as the spotlight is on him he's good. All he has to do is deny it all, blame the Democrats and their witch hunts, along with the fake news, and his zombies cheer him on.
I couldn't care less about his health. Most sane Americans also have trouble sleeping with him at the helm and have bags under their eyes. I know I do.
He's a national embarrassment and a clear and present danger to the world.
I think he doesn't want this job anymore. I don't want him to have this job either.

I don't think he ever wanted the job. I think he was totally shocked when he won. I think he only likes the power and prestige, but he has no interest whatsoever in the actual job.

A while back I saw something suggesting that we just make him King, a la the Queen whom he seems to adore. He could have parades and uniforms and wave to his crowds, and do no harm. Just get him out of an office that has any power or influence.
