Maybe these polls showing the JA is expected to win a 2nd term are really a positive thing. Maybe people will be so opposed to the thought of him winning another term they'll turn out in droves to vote against him. One can hope at least. Also the media's all but swearing Hillary in as the winner in 2016 certainly didn't help her.

According to this greedy, self-serving jackass HE gave $700 billion dollars to the military last year. Since when did tax dollars become his personal money? Since when does he control the budget instead of Congress. I know we had some tax dollars mixed into that budget amount, but I won't be surprised if we eventually learn he didn't pay a dime in taxes.

Maybe the people saying they think he will win are saying it with dread, not that THEY will vote for him, but they fear he will win again.

According to CNN abortion is becoming a more and more important issue for the election. I don't know if that is good or bad for Democrats. The majority of the country does not want to see Roe v Wade overturned, but is that the majority of voters or just the majority of people?
I like the fact that Elizabeth Warren is being specific about her plan to pay for her proposals. I wish all candidates would do that. Of course, the JA was very specific about his plan to pay for the wall -- "Mexico is going to pay for the wall." LOL

D-DAY!
75 years later and we are still fighting the Nazis. This time in our own back yard. Perhaps even in the White House.
You guys and gals are true heros.
We remember, honor, and thank you today, and every day.
THANK YOU!

Shame it was leaked that Pelosi said she didn't want to impeach Humpty Trumpty - rather, she'd like to see him in jail. I get the sentiment but, now I'm concerned their already tenuous relationship is going to be fully toxic in a very public way.
amyrs, with EW, what you see, is what you get. She's authentic and she has a plan. for. everything. lol There are some good and interesting choices among the twenty.

Yes, I can definitely see this JA being a great admirer of Hitler.
Pam, I agree that I wish that had not been leaked about Pelosi saying she wants to see him in prison. I'm afraid that's just going to muddy the waters and complicate things even more. Although, I too would like to see him looking out from behind bars.
Ladies today is my birthday. My 70th!! A very BIG number. Somehow I just never really associated that number with myself before. LOL! Time really creeps up on you, but I am blessed to have a good life, and I consider each of you who participate on this thread as part of the blessings in my life. I probably won't be around tomorrow. I am hosting a big extended family party--not for my birthday, but a "Cousins Day" celebration. I have close to 30 people coming to my house for a meal, and I had planned for us to all spread out onto the patios. Well, it rained all day yesterday, all last night, is still raining, and is supposed to continue raining through the weekend. So the backup plan is to move the cars out of the garage and set some tables up in there. Not what I had in mind, but it will work. It will be good to get together with family. That used to be a common occurrence, but now it's mostly just for funerals so it will be good to get together when it's not a sad occasion. I was a bit hesitant to do this as it's also kind of sad for me as my mom was always the family party planner. She used to host lots of big family gatherings and loved doing it. It makes me sad to think that she can no longer participate because she always loved it so much. But I also know that in the past she told me many times that she wanted me to be sure and keep the family close together, so Mama I'm trying to do just that. Have a lovely day everyone!

Happy Birthday, Joyce!...I turned 70 last year. I had to say this number really rather depressed me or awhile. Not sure why. I never felt this way when I hit 30, 40, 50 or 60. This year, I just decided since I'm still rather healthy besides the aches & pains of joints, I feel lucky to still be on the right side of the grass. I'm sure your guests will enjoy a lovely day of visiting, laughing & memories whether its raining or sunny. Your Mom would be proud & happy you are keeping the family close. ENJOY your day & your weekend.
Does it seem Biden is just kind of stepping all over himself lately with his messaging??. I like Joe, but honestly he is not my favorite in this race. I just don't want to settle for the same old same old anymore. It's time for new fresh ideas. It's really time for a woman to take the helm . Altho I really like Mayor Pete. I hope he finds a place in the next administration if the Dems win & he doesn't win the nomination. I also think it would be a wonderful thing if EW could beat JA . Karma at its best!
I hate hearing there is dissension among the Dems on the Impeachment issue. Especially between Nadler & Pelosi. We need unity to beat JA at his own game.

nashville11, Happy Birthday! I turned 65 this year. My only sorrow is my best friend is 82 and I am not looking forward to losing her (someday). I agree about the funerals. My boss at an old job, who also became a dear friend, died this year. We saw people we had not gotten together with for 5-10 years. We all said we would make an effort to stay in touch, but I don't really think it will happen.

Thanks everyone! Those years just pile up in a hurry. In my mind, I'm not more than 50. Ha! Sounds like I'm as delusional as the JA! LOL! Yes, Biden seems to be hitting a rough patch. I like him, but he's also not my favorite in the race. I would be happy with anyone, however, who could beat Trump. I think my favorite is Mayor Pete, but I also like EW a lot. Linda, you are right that it would really be good payback to have her beat Trump. She is a very smart lady, and I like the fact that she seems so well organized and has a seemingly well thought out plan for everything she presents. I saw a statement from a Trump voter recently who said she voted for Trump because she thought a man would do better than a woman. When are we going to break out of the 1950s?
