I'm IN. That will have to do. My spreadsheet is of particular importance today, since stress levels will be high. Prayers (non-health-related) for the Mouseketeer are requested. Can I mainline my coffee... ☕☕☕... 🌿🌹🌿🌹🌿🌹🌿🌹🌿 Have a healthy-eating day, all. 🌿🌹🌿🌹🌿🌹🌿🌹🌿

I'm IN too, diva49,. Saying prayers for you and your family. Hope everything is okay. We've had low humidity this week and that makes a huge difference in walking outside. We've taken our morning walk early and it is so pleasant. I wish this would last but the weather guessers said the humidity will be back on Friday. Oh well, it is summer. I'm grilling chicken breasts and portabella mushrooms tonight for dinner. Still drinking lots of water and watching the scale. Happy Hump Day, Friends!

diva49, (((HUGS))) Good morning. 43 degrees this morning. Okay, it's technically not SUMMER yet but jeez. Sunny and bright but big storms coming in tomorrow. I guess my sore muscles have repaired themselves enough for me to go out and finish some random garden chores and then do a final mulch spread. Generally pleased with the front garden this year but I have to stop rescuing all the errant self-seeded babies. In my plant nursery I have two chrysanthemums, five Volcano phlox, four perennial geraniums, and a butterfly bush. I already planted echinacea and scabiosa from my little nursery. I think I need someone to do an intervention. DH will be riding the mower today while I play in the garden. Wishing all a good day.

diva49, wishing your Mousketeer all the best, as well as you and your other family. linda72, grilling sounds good! I hope to grill tomorrow or Friday, as long as the weather is good. fullmahina, I'll be thinking about my fellow gardener when I plant the rest of my flowers today. Flowers, herbs, and veggies make me so happy! I tell my husband that the neighborhood's birds like to hang out in our backyard more than our neighbor's because of all of it. The weather has been oddly cool in my area, too. But beautiful! I don't welcome hot weather. I decided not to spend anything today, and then my husband and I decided we need one more bag of garden soil and brown mulch. I'll go to Ace Hardware in a little while. I spent oodles of money yesterday, and especially the day before. That's rather uncharacteristic of me. A little worrying. My diet (and the one I put hubby on) is going great. Friday will be our first weigh-in. I expect good results. If I don't get ones that "Wow" I can at least say that we've been eating healthier and we both feel quite good. I know that if there are "wowing" results that some loss may be water loss, but I am sure some will be fat loss, too. I'm not sure if it is in my head, but I already feel a little lighter. Maybe the water loss? In any case, my nephrologist (kidney doctor) says that I have been drinking plenty of fluids according to my blood test results. I do get really thirsty. As for the other results, they were not good, but not as bad as in the past. The results were from a day before I started a healthier eating plan. My next blood tests will be in six months. I hope hope hope that I will stick with this healthier eating long-term. If I normalize my cholesterol (especially) and triglycerides both my GP and nephrologist will be happy. Once in the past, I managed and my GP was so excited that he called me himself. Hopefully this will happen again.

I'm in. Morning all. Prayers sent up diva49, hoping all will be well. Taking it easy today as I over did it yesterday and had workers here for 8 hours. My brain is tired lol. A chilly start gave me permission to nurse a few quiet cups of coffee. The drains outside are done and will get a workout with tomorrow's heavy rain. The big projects are done. For the rest of the summer it will just be maintenance. linda72, you were missed - glad the weather has been good for you. fullmahina, cyndee, happy gardening! DebDoesWW, zazzles belated woohoo's for both of you! Have a great day!

Good morning. I’m in. 43 degrees this morning. Okay, it's technically not SUMMER yet but jeez. Sunny and bright but big storms coming in tomorrow. We were 102° in Santa Clara yesterday. Add ‘em together and divide by 2 and we could both have had pleasant, 75° days. cyndeeThe quest to improve test results through better diet is never-ending. I had a bit of an improvement in my A1C this month and that’s always a pleasant confirmation that I controlled my carbs better. diva49, DebDoesWWPrayers sent up for both of you. It is Christmas here right now—NOT. Even though I labeled boxes carefully, many of them are a surprise when I open them. I hope to empty 3 to 6 today and stow the contents. Wishing everyone a great day.

Wishing everyone a great day. I hear ya. It really is a major task! I mentioned in the other thread that my cholesterol (and sometimes triglycerides) are a frequent issue for me. I have been pre-diabetic, but only a couple short periods during the past 9 years. My GP and nephrologist are always telling me "We won't prescribe a statin at this point, but if the cholesterol gets worse we will." My GP said that I am not quite at a high enough risk being under 50 and usually having perfect blood pressure. But just like the diabetes 2 is common among the women in my family, heart disease is common in both the males and females. I do have to work hard to avoid diabetes, particularly because I already have mild kidney damage from a medication I used to take. That's why I see a nephrologist.

A nice cloud cover is moving in and there is a wonderful breeze. I've been working outside, coming in every once in a while for a break from the sun and some hydration. Your weather is why God made air conditioning---stay cool!

I’m in. Gorgeous blue skies and temps in the 70s. Checking in from dr office. Hopefully she can help get wax build up in my ears to disappear. I think it’s part of dizziness I’ve been experiencing. Spring time allergies continuing.
Have a great day everyone.
