Thank you for the kind words.
I’m moving slow but think my shoulder/arm is a bit better. I’m on the same pain road as Phyl!
I have to think of a song.
Happy Wednesday!

Hi!
The song I pick is Zip-a Dee-Doo-Dah! It seems like my life comes in spurts of good things and bad things. This is the song I often hum. Cat, I hope your pain level goes down quickly. DH has had episodes oif bursitis since we were in college and rest and ibuprofen is best for him.
We have a clear day today! Small white clouds and a gentle breeze. It is 76* and will go up to 90*. I t is the kind of day that I used to work in my flower beds. Sigh... They look terrible, but we cannot have them taken care of.
This morning we went to breakfast for our waffle. We met a friend from church, so we had a little sadness session over our lead pastor's leaving. Our waffle was as good as usual, and though we share it, I still could not quite finish my share.
I don't know of any other errands we need to run since we picked up our rxs yesterday. I had been scheduled for a pain injection today, but I canceled since I had no significant pain. The Lyrica is a marvel! I know it doesn't work this well for everyone, but I am surely glad my doctor wanted me to try it. It is more expensive, but wow!
Have a good day! Diane

Debbie hasn't heard from her lawyer yet but looked online and a pre-trial is set for July 22nd and a trial is set for August 27th so she thinks Jeff is given until the 22nd to agree to something and if he doesn't then a trial will be August 27th and at that time everything would be decided by the judge. So sounds hopeful and it would be great if it could be done the 22nd so she could really celebrate on her vacation but at least we know if not the 22nd of July it will be done by the 27th of August. At least that's what we think so it'll be interesting to see what her lawyer says.

Good Morning Cat and June Bugs,
I thought I had posted but I don't see it here so I'll try again.
We are in a severe thunderstorm watch until 10:00 AM and it is to become partly cloudy this afternoon. Right now it is 66* and thundering and raining, but it is to clear in the afternoon and become partly cloudy. Storms may contain strong, gusty winds and our high will be 95* with winds S 10-20 mph.
As far as I know there are no special plans for today. The dogs woke me up at 6:00 wanting to go out, but Hunter refused to go out in the storm. A while after that we found a pile on the kitchen floor but don't know which dog left it. MJ went back to bed and now it is all quiet again and I'm the only one awake. Once I wake up I don't usually go back to sleep.
As far as I know there are no special plans for today so I'll just wait and see what comes up.

Sandy, I sure hope it works out for Debbie this time. I know you have just about worried yourself to death over the situation.
Cat, so glad you are feeling a little better! Tell me, how did you choose the name "Cat"?
Diane, I think there was a story in Guideposts a year or so back in which a woman started using Lyrica and it had helped her so very much. So glad it's working for you! I love that your song is Zippity Do Dah! LOL!
One thread I read occasionally assigns a day of the week to one of their regular posters. On that day, the assigned person provides a QOTD. That's just one idea.
I've started some office work for my parents, but I became almost sick, so I stopped. Don't know why I have such a psychological issue with that stuff. It has to be done, and I know it has to be done. When I try to get into it, though, I get all sweaty and dizzy . . . weird. I may just have to pay a lawyer to do it.

Today I have to take my car in for routine maintenance. It's been awhile since I had it done - to the point On Star was saying I was overdue and telling to dealer to contact me. The car was checked when I got a new battery and everything was OK (I didn't get it done at the dealership, so no record). Then the car sat for four months since I couldn't drive, so it really isn't too far overdue. The sun is shining and it's 82 degrees. Highs in the 90's for the rest of the week. I got the nicest Thank You note from Hannah. At first I couldn't figure out who it was from since I didn't recognize the name - just as I was ready to google the name, it came to me - Hannah from Lincoln, Nebraska - Doris' granddaughter! I wish I could get my daughter to write thank yous so promptly.

The first song I thought of that I could relate to was Willy Nelson's "On the Road Again" All the years we traveled I would sing that every morning when we hit 'the road again'. My second thought was Molly's pick - "Because He Lives" by the Gauthier Trio. Then I even had a third one "Why Me?" by Jennings. There are many & it's hard to chose just one.
Cat, I'll miss you so hurry & get to feeling better.
Kathie, not sure how you do all you do. I guess we usually rise to the cause when we have too. Enjoy your time with family & I pray all goes well with Jim & Bobby. I thought of you yesterday but my one day is nothing compared to your situation.
Did the laundry this morning & the clothes are on line. Had to water some of the more water thirsty plants.
Yesterday was good day but also sort of sad. When we first picked up my brother he said he thought this would be the last time he would be able to go with us. He has a hard time walking even with a walker. One leg is very week. He doesn't pick his foot up - just shuffles it along. I borrowed a wheel chair at the Assisted Home my sister is at. I was sure my DB wouldn't be able to walk the distance we had to go. My sister was having a good day & looked great. When we left DB said his good byes to her. Tears were shed but it was nice that he did that. I don't see them getting together again until they meet in Heaven, but I could be surprised. My sister will ne 89 in August & my brother is 86. Seems strange that I am doing for them now when they were the ones always doing for me growing up, but I am happy that I can. We three are the only ones left.
I got strawberries at a roadside stand yesterday. I plan to make shortcake. Today we are going to a Farmers Market. I hope they will have strawberries so I can make a strawberry rhubarb pie. I will share that with the campground owners. If I feel real ambitious I might get extra berries to freeze & then take shortcake & berries to my sister on her birthday.
Lunch time now & then I hope the clothes be dry to bring in, fold & put away before going to town. Hate coming home to work...
P.S. Oops, it was Kristofferson that sang Why Me, Lord?

The Other song I am still singing this afternoon that I thought about picking. I WILL SURVIVE.
The freezer jam is finished and I really like doing that. Still have the strawberry pie to make, maybe in the morning. Will do the pie crust tonight. the middle part is a bit like cheese cake but thinner and the top is whole strawberries with glaze. the families favorite. Except for my DSIL He likes the strawberry pie with just strawberries and the glaze you buy. he is a trip!!
I must have pulled something in my inner thigh planting flowers yesterday. I sit on ground with the left leg tucked under me and boy that is sore today along with an area on my bottom from when I sat on a rock by mistake. ouch!! Will be better tomorrow and I am keeping moving.
Did the UPS pick up place and also the post office, Got a folder of pretty flower stamps as well. Beautiful day.

Mmm, Connie! Your jam will be so delicious this winter! There's nothing like freezer strawberry jam! Just like fresh berries! I've made it from store-bought berries for the last few years. My cousin gave me a jar of hers from her garden a week ago, and it's really good. I make the creamy layer of strawberry pie from powdered sugar, cream cheese, and some Cool Whip.
Cat, the first kitty that I remember was named Booger Ricky (I have no idea why.) He would lie still with his eyes closed if I tapped him on the face. He lived at Granny's. One day I couldn't find him or his litter-mates, so Granny sent me up the road to the neighbors to check there. The neighbor lady was sure they weren't there, but when I called, BR came running right to me. Granny had two cats that came in the house -- Jason and Blondie. Both of them were outside and were killed when the tornado hit in May of 1960.
This morning we found we were at loose ends, so we called friends we hadn't seen for quite awhile and asked if they could meet us for lunch at Cracker Barrel. They did, and we had a great time.
