Ok - 12-year-old girl found in ditch after being ejected from truck in NW Harris Co. | 4 others injured The 15 year old girl is our nephews daughter who lives with her mother and step-father. She's going to recover physically. A few cracked ribs, a shoulder injury and concussion, assorted cuts and bruises. She should be released from the hospital today. The 12 year old is her step-sister from her mothers remarriage. She did not make it No idea legally what's happening with the adult driver who may have been drinking. If it's not too much to ask, please say a prayer for both families and all they're going through right now

My son decided he wanted grilled chicken breast this week -not "grilled" but foreman grill. So I made him grilled chicken with jerk seasoning and we hit up yummly for side dishes, and he settled on a Jamaican Steamed cabbage that turned out really good (I didn't have any scotch bonnet peppers, so I just used some pepper flakes). I didn't prep for me though, not sure what I even want this week. We grilled yesterday and I always get Nolan Ryan sausage, but this batch was so salty it was inedible. I emailed the company because that was just really bad. Hopefully they will look into it- someone screwed up somewhere.

good morning!
I ended up being a lot over for the week (-62 points). I gained a bit, but my WI was off (a day late and after I'd eaten breakfast), so I don't think I really gained as much as it showed (which was up 1 pound). Right now, I'm only counting whole pounds. I can't take the minor adjustments in weight, so I just go with the number of pounds and skip the fractions of a pound. Even if it's X.8, I just mark it as X. I think that's better for my mental health right now. My week restarts on Saturdays, which is a blessing and a curse but seems to be the best day for me. Fridays are usually treat nights for my family, so that part is tough, but it makes me save WPs for it, and gives me a fresh set for Saturday night. As of right now, I'm down to 18 left for the week, so I'm going to try to keep it as close to that as possible for the week, so that I have some left for Friday night.
Hope everyone is doing well!

Hello Everyone - Hope you are all doing well DotRen - Don't you hate it when you buy a food and then it's bad? It does sound like someone messed that batch up it if was saltier than before. I had made my lunch today and put a new ingredient in it that I hadn't eaten before and then when I tried it I just could not eat it so I ended up throwing it all out. I'm not going to waste calories on something I don't like. wwlurker - I hope you have a good week. I have the same "scale" issues that you. Seeing those decimals on the scale will just set me off right now, that's why I've been using my old fashioned scale that just has increments of one pound. It's really sad how losing and regaining weight messes with our minds, isn't it? Hopefully having that Friday night treat to look forward to will help you save up your points. I'm doing pretty well, but feel like I could get off track very easily. I have to go grocery shopping this week and I'm sad to say it scares me. I don't quite trust myself in the store right now. I did make out a list, so I'll try to stick to it. I was bummed today when I made my iced tea with Equal, it just didn't taste very good so I poured it out. Some days it really tastes good, but others it is terrible. I don't know if it's a bad tea bag or bad Equal. I wish I could drink it unsweetened, but I don't really like it that way. Maybe I need to try to wean myself off the Equal - I don't know. I just look forward to that iced tea every other day or so, it's like a treat for me. I do have some Snapple Diet Iced tea with lemon mix-ins and I had that instead and enjoyed it. Sometimes I just get tired of drinking plain water. There are so many products that I used and depended on when I lost weight a few years ago that are no longer made, and I haven't found others to replace them that satisfy. I'm not saying I can't still lose weight, but it is making it more difficult without those foods I really enjoyed. Take care everyone!

cj59 - I feel the same way about foods I used to enjoy that are no longer available. I think us Momentum folks have this problem because of shifting tastes and food trends. The lower calorie, low fat, high fibre treats aren't trendy right now - it's more about whole foods, natural foods, etc., which aren't necessarily low points on Momentum. Yesterday I had a great day and was within my DPs. I was pleased with that and hope to keep it up. I stepped on the scale this morning (because I really did think my last WI was off) and was pleased to see that I'm down below the lowest I was last week, so I seem to be doing something right! I'm just going to keep on keeping on! Hope everyone is having a great day!

Hello DotRen - No I haven't really tried anything buy Equal, I need to branch out. Thanks for the recommendation. wwlurker - Congratulations on a great day yesterday and that the scale is down. I'm sure that is motivating. I agree that eating in the Momentum style isn't working with current foods. It's been a tough adjustment for me. The foods I've had to substitute for what I was eating before just aren't satisfying to me much of the time. Sure makes it difficult to stay on track. I did my grocery shopping today and survived. It was hard to pass up some things, but I couldn't justify the calories or trust myself with more than one of certain things (like cookies) in the house. Hope everyone else is doing well on their plans.

Good morning!
Yesterday I ate more than I intended last night and I'm feeling it this morning. I wake up feeling tired, dehydrated and generally unwell. I need to work on not doing this so often. It's really not serving me or my goals.

Hello everyone! Hope you are all doing well today.
I am hanging in there. I have today and tomorrow left of my week and I still have 9 WPs left, so that's pretty good! I'm not planning on using any tonight and then I'll have them for tomorrow night.
I'm having a hard time with the scale. I am on it most mornings and I don't like that. This morning it was up a bit (after having been back down after my weekend away) and I didn't like that at all. With only 2 days left in my week and knowing that the night before my WI is going to be a higher point day, it's not looking great. I'll likely still be down from last week, but not as much as I would have liked. I was hoping for a big loss since last week's WI was artificially inflated, but I don't see that happening. I don't like that this bothers me, because I should be focusing on how much better I am doing at moderation and eating healthier than I have been in a long time. But, I feel like I'm doing so well and I just want to see that reflected on the scale. I also can't forget that I actually give myself way more points than the program would, so of course my losses will be small. I'm trying to figure out exactly how many points I should be having a day in order to not feel too restricted but also see some weight loss. It's a fine balance.

Hello Everyone - Hope you are all doing well in life and on your plans sunrose - Hope you were able to get in your walk. wwlurker - The scale really messes with my mind too. It got so bad with me that I had to quit getting on it altogether, but of course then you can't really tell if what you are doing is working. I hope you can find a way to deal with it. If you are doing well on your program, then at least you know that you are making success even if it's just in eating well. But I know seeing the lower number is what we all want. Hang in there. I've been sticking to my plan. I had some really good nectarines from the store this week and also some cherries. I don't like the heat and humidity of summer but it sure is nice to have the fruits and vegetables.
