Hello Everyone sunrose - Thanks for your support. I give you a lot of credit for continuing to go to your meetings. Hope you can work out a relationship with the scale that works for you. I guess I'm doing pretty well. My eating isn't bad, but I've slacked up on my exercise and my attitude isn't very good either. I need to work on both of those. Hope everyone else is doing well.

Good morning
cj, I give you credit for hanging in there! We can do this. I love the meetings. I have 2 friends that I sit with and enjoy our pre meeting conversations. We support each other. We are all struggling, but not giving up. I guess the only reason I keep going.
We had a terrible storm yesterday afternoon. Wow the wind was crazy. It has cooled things off so I am happy and will get out for a walk.

sunrose - It's nice to have the friends and support at your meeting, I'm glad for you that you have that. The last time I went to meetings I also went with a friend and it was very motivating to go each week.
It's a bit cooler for me too which is nice. I'm glad July is almost over, just have to make it through August and part of September to get to some cooler weather.
I'm not getting in as many steps as I usually do, but I'm not worrying about it. It has helped my knees and legs to feel a bit better than they did last week. I do want to build back up my daily steps. It would be so easy for me to sit around and do nothing, so I have to push myself.
Hope everyone else is doing well.

cj, I hear you on "so easy to nothing" that is so me lately. I need to push myself too.
Did a mini walk with Maddie and my son this morning. I am going to do some stretches and situps when I get off the computer.

Hello Everyone - Hope you are all doing well sunrose - Hope you got your shopping done. I'm doing pretty well with my eating but have slacked on my walking - so I need to get back to that. I've been pushing myself for about 3 years with it and just wanted a break. But I can see how easy would be to stop doing it altogether.

Good morning! I've been reading but not very talkative. cj59, and sunrose49, hang in there. The struggles can be overwhelming at times, but "we" can handle it. It's only a failure if you don't start back up (I used to think that was kind of a crappy sentiment, but it's really true lol) I think my hand is finally better. I'm still taking it easy with things like opening jars that put some torque on the thumb ligaments, and I put the brace on if I feel a twinge, but overall it's much better. I bought a "No No!" hair remover on prime day (not from amazon, Kohl's had a big sale to compete) and sent it back the next day. It didn't work at all. I even turned it up to the top setting and I smelled burning hair but all it did was burn the surface and my skin. So just say "NO" to No-No! lol. Son's starter went out in his car last week and we had it towed to out favorite mechanic shop. He just had the starter replaced at a Ford dealership last October - grr. The mechanic gave him the old starter and the work order, he took it to Ford and they're looking at getting him a refund (or at least another new starter) since it was under warranty. The dealership guy asked why he didn't bring it to them to start with (no pun intended), and he told them "Because I just had the starter replaced in October here. It never occurred to me that it would be the starter" - that seemed to shut the dealership guy down lol. DH is working weird hours right now, they have a job through October working 6am-4:30pm, but he's been needed until 5:30. His normal hours are 7:30-5:30 Mon - Thurs. At least the weather has been somewhat nice, cooler than normal and less humidity. Murray is doing well on the turkey, but he seems to be putting weight back on a little, so I may need to switch to turkey breast instead of the 85% I've been using. Maybe a mix of the 85% and 99% ones will work if I can't find a 93% one that doesn't have "natural flavorings" added.

Good morning
cj, WTG with your eating. I'm that way with exercise. I have really been slacking. When I'm into it I do it every day.
dotren, so good to see you. Glad your hand is doing better. Too bad about your son's car. I hope he gets some $ back. A lady at WW said that her mother told her "there is no shame in falling down, the shame is not getting back up"
Waving to all. I have not totally given up, but I know I could do much better.

Hello Everyone - Hope you are all doing well today I'm hanging on, but just my a thread (or my fingertips). I sure want to go crazy and do some binge eating. I did make it out of the grocery store yesterday without any junk food, so I guess that's a win. There's a thread on the main board about what would work best for you and I would love it if WW would offer all the old and new programs, like zazzles mentioned. I would go back to the meetings if they did that. I'm just tired of always thinking I have things under control and then getting out of control and looking for another solution. It just seems like it's never ending. Hope you are all enjoying the weekend.

cj59, I wish they would too. Confession though, I signed up for the meetings, even though I'm not doing Freestyle. It's hard because I can't talk points with the group, but I can talk about the topics. Like last week was about not eating because you're bored. Some things are universal regardless of which diet. I also "track" on the app, just enough so that I can rack up "wins" to get a 90-day subscription to Obe fitness, which is normally $27 a month, so I figure I'm mitigating my costs. It helps me to WI too, even though the scale barely moves. I'm slowly getting back on track.

Happy Sunday! sunrose49, Great to be back! What WW swag have you gotten? I love the Obe fitness. Do I use it regularly? No, but when I do use it - WOW! I know I sound like an idiot but... I totally overate at lunch. I knew it was too much food, but I didn't know what to do with it. It was a cheeseburger, corn on the cob, and beans. The corn on the cob and the burger were the problems because they were like whole things. The beans I just served myself a little bit, but I didn't know what to do with this big hunk of food. So I asked my diet coach (after the fact) what do you do? Do you stop eating it or do you eliminate an item? He said, you stop eating. Or if you want, cut it in half, it doesn't have to be a perfect half either, it could be a big half. Or cut it in half and then cut one of the halves in half and you can have 3/4 of the burger. It's your burger, no one else is eating it, so do with it what you want. This is just an example of my default settings being completely whacked. I think of it as 1 burger, 1 corn on the cob. But I need to think of things as mass and volume. I just wanted to tell someone that I'm really trying to change my thinking, but I've got a long road ahead.

Good morning
Irisianna, that makes perfect since to treat your food "as your burger". Thanks for sharing that. For me the simple solutions go right over my head.

Still trying to find my grove on this weight loss journey. Feeling with it so far today.
