Nothing planned for today. Yesterday I walked 2 miles, showered then went to see a fifty year old Greek friend who's 52 year old husband died suddenly. She has no income, a son in college, not much family to help out and still is working on papers to get her husband's death certificate so they can access his bank accounts, properties, etc. I don't envy her!
Cherry: will you give up the prednisone and stick with the cortisone shots? Glad you feel so much better!
Beverly: I always liked that poem that has the line having to do with "under the chestnut tree" - blacksmith or??? Chestnuts don't give nuts here since it is not cold enough. We have regular walnuts BUT my grandfather used to have a specialty black walnut cake he made...never did get his recipe, though.
Pam: You go, girl! Do you have a snowblower or use a shovel to clear your walks?
Lynn: How great to have good results at your dr.'s appointment!

Good morning. The prednisone was for the polymyalgia rheumatic (PMR) I was diagnosed with, not the knee condition which is arthritis and bone degeneration. I will be off the prednisone tablets in about a month. The cortisone shot for the knee also helped with the arm pain and finger pain and stiffness from the PMR too. Cortisone is the same class of medication as prednisone, I understand.
Not much on my schedule today other than Mass this late afternoon in town. I'm going to try to get some papers gathered for income tax and do some other things around the house. Plus try to get in a little more exercise than I did yesterday.
It's cloudy and not very warm today, high is supposed to be around 26 with some snow in the late afternoon and evening. It doesn't look like there will be enough to impact my trip to town though.
Have a good day, beaches.

Good morning Beaches!!! Beautiful morning here, had a little rain last night with a cold front. Today it is only supposed to be about 50, but the sun shine is beautiful. No plans really today, I need to dust & vacuum, but I don't know if that will get done (probably not), otherwise, just Mass this afternoon & after Mass, there is a "spagingo" at the church. This is a combo spaghetti dinner & bingo. Everyone that wants to play bingo, just brings a $5 to $10 prize & that is what we play for. It is a lot of fun. We are looking forward to it. I am taking 2 bottles of wine, (leftovers from DD's wedding) for our prizes. Great weekend all!

Good morning beaches. The sun is out and fingers crossed ice will melt. I will wait a bit before I head to the grocery store. Cathy, luckily I could use the shovel yesterday. I've never used the snow blower.
KOKO with tracking and moving as well as getting in my liquids. I'm also writing in my journal and noting reasons I'm grateful. Love this idea. I'm glad I started journaling once again.

hi all! I am just back from decorating for s St. Patrick's party we are having at our club tonight. My nephew is coming home with us and will spend the night.
We are supposed to have a rain storm tonight. I hope it doesn't hold people back from coming.
Waving to all!
