CJ, I had to laugh about the cardboard boxes. Since our ds and 7 of the grands live in another state we save all our boxes to use when sending the things and then also for other uses so we have a LOT of cardboard boxes. We do throw away or burn the small ones because we never have anything to send that's small. We have a lot of coffee cans too. There are so many things you can use those for and also the lids. We were just talking about that. WE've used a lot of the plastic ones with the built in "handles" to hold paint or stain when using a brush to paint. There are just so many ways to repurpose things.
I was looking for the pattern for my dgs' afgan that I'm planning to make for him and couldn't find it so finally I looked at several online sites, finally went to pinterest and found it there. Now I'll find my own copy I'm sure. I also found the pattern i plan to use for dgd's shawl. It won't be a complicated one like I made for the other dgd. I did see one made of the crocodile stitch but I've never done that stitch before and don't want to start a new stitch when I want to get it done. It really was a nice shawl and was called Mermaid so it would be good for a little girl. Who knows. I might end up doing it after all.
Again, Christmas wishes to all of you. May you be richly blessed

Merry Christmas everyone, It has been a busy morning around here. We all got up early because Devin was anxious to open his presents and he did have a lot. It is quieter now as DGD & her friend plus Devin have gone off to have dinner with friends. DS is relaxing before he goes to work later. I will relax when Janet leaves about 4 p.m. I will have a quiet evening and perhaps do some knitting if I have the energy.
Ruth you mentioned a crust less pumpkin pie and I wonder if that is the pumpkin pie that was so popular on the WW boards a few years ago. There was a recipe which was very low in points.
Ginny, I am glad you enjoyed the Christmas service at your church and were able to participate in the music on your flute. The Christmas eve services are a wonderful way to start Christmas.
cj, I am glad you were able to spend time with your family.
Phyl, I just know you are usy & just full of Christmas cheer.
I wish you all a Christmas full of Peace, Hope for today and the coming year.

Meg, I know having a little boy around makes it more like Christmas
No my pumpkin pie is just the original Libby's pumpkin pie recipe but with no crust.
We're having a very white Christmas here. It was 50 degrees here yesterday and today it's only 12 and has been snowing since way before I was up.
Still need to exchange gifts with dh. We just get each other little fun things.
Talk to you all later. I'll have a quiet eveing too I think, Meg. I'll start the birthday projects and I have a few other things on my list also. As I'm sure all of you do I like to have some little things started just to pick up in spare moments.
