Hot Beaches
Those who have committed to being the best they can be. A place to come and share. A group that is there for one another. Though there is a list, it changes from time to time. Let us know if you might be interested in joining us and I will add your name to the list.

Yesterday was relatively quiet. I walked my 43 minute 20 laps around the house in sunshine and watched as neighbors had stones delivered for workers to turn into a pretty wall. I heard them tapping on the stones this morning and that is what woke me up. Meals included light toast topped with spinach and tomatoes, Greek bean soup I added spinach to, whole grain spiral pasta with arugula and feta cheese and no doubt other things BUT MFP says I was within calories for the day so...hooray! Today I will write book reviews, walk outside, shower and make something for lunch (or we will have leftovers). We will talk to the children and grandchildren in the evening and there are books to be read. Life is good CHERRY: Glad the cortisone and prednisone are helping. You reminded me of taxes...I shouldn't have to file since I didn't earn BUT I need to check. I do have to file FATCA forms on bank accounts hubby has put my name on in Lebanon - the accounts seem to have less and less each year. Hate dealing with forms and taxes and such! BEVERLY: I have never heard of a Spagingo evening Hope you have fun AND win a prize! PAM: When my sister moved to Iowa for a year or so her California friends gave her a present of money to buy a snow blower. We went together to buy it and she had her eye on a used huge thing. The guy asked if she or her husband would do most of the work and since she thought she would do quite a bit they agreed a more manageable smaller one made more sense. She was there a short time (not forever) but used it a lot as she was on a corner lot and also offered to help neighbors who had no assistance and were older or needed help. Glad you could use the shovel (son used one 4 hours straight in Iowa in a blizzard?!?!?!) Do you journal gratitude in your food journal or a separate journal? LYNN: It can't be time for St. Patrick's Day already! You must be jumping the gun! Hope you have fun and a lot of people show up to enjoy the party!

Good morning. It's cloudy today and foggy off in the distance. It is 10 now and the high is supposed to be in the high 20s. A chance of a little snow later. But it sounds like next weekend it will be warming up with a high near 40 on Saturday.
It did snow last evening when I went in to town. The roads were good going in, but the snow was sticking on the way home, making it potentially icy. I didn't have any problem though. I was stuck behind a truck that was travelling about 50 or less. I would have driven a little faster but there was no place I could pass safely so I followed him all the way to my turnoff. Which was fine. I was in no hurry and didn't have anything I needed to do when I got home.
Today I think I will do a little shoveling in my driveway right out of the garage. There was a bit of wind last evening which made some snow drift across the track going into the garage. I drove through it last night, but it would be nice to have the track cleared. Also I'll work on some more income tax stuff, and I have a batch of soap to make. So it will be a rather busy Sunday, if I get myself off my computer reasonably soon.
Have a good day, beaches.

Good afternoon!! Our dear nephew just left with his dad. He helped us put in the new microwave and a few other things. He is a joy to have around.
This was the first of many St. Patrick's day events. I help organize a local parade here for this occasion and it will be held on March 12th. We always have a group back to our house for corned beef and cabbage and shepherd's pie. It takes me a few weeks to get the house ready..cleaning, painting etc. It is really like a spring cleaning.
I am finishing laundry and making some things for lunch this week. I am a little tired so I will take a nap soon.
Enjoy!

Late check in. Yay to no ice or snow. Got my laundry caught up and cleaned out the litter boxes. Our microwave has given out, so dh is looking online. At least it will be delivered. I miss dh going shopping with me. I hate making all the decisions by myself.
Cathy: I track and use the same journal to note things to be grateful for. I glad I started again.
Have a great day beaches!
