Agreed about freestylle being hard to stick to and not for everyone. Momentum was by far my favorite.

I do best with versions of CORE and SF and now freestyle. The key for me is to continue using healthy guidelines for accountability. Slow but I’m not quitting. I know how far I’ve come and I’m not going back.😊

IF WW were smart, they’d figure out a way to make the majority of current and past members happy by supporting POINTS, PointsPlus and both versions of SmartPoints—PLUS including macro nutrient totals in the meal and daily totals. That would provide something for most everybody; add in sodium totals and 99% of people should be covered. This is exactly IT for me.

My first foray into WW was when Points Plus was in vogue. I lost 30ish pounds. This go-round I followed the same plan and have been successful. My biggest struggle has always been sweets so this has helped me stay in check.

I lot about 20 lbs and which brought me to a normal weight/BMI with My Fitness Pal and increasing my exercise. I aimed for 1200 calories a day. I wanted to lose more to get to the lower range for my height so I could get a flat belly and Intermittent fasting/Time Restricted eating is helping move the scale once again. I also do it for the various health benefits that IF/TRE are supposed to bring. IF/TRE also has helped me (on most days) to kick the mindless snacking at night. I aim for a minimum of 12/12 and on some days I manage to get to my max of 16/8. I try to follow a low saturated fat, low sodium, high veg/fruit diet. I would say I fall in the flexitarian group. I do eat -beef/chicken/fish- but it's not a daily thing. I try to eat mostly vegetarian meals. I am also a fanatical label reader. I watch the calories, sodium, saturated fat, fiber and also the ingredients. If it is a long list of junk I don't buy it. (most of the time) On YouTube I follow FlavCity. I don't follow his diet (keto) but he is really good at showing you what food ingredients to avoid. He goes to the supermarket and grocery shops. It's really informative. I have to credit exercise with not only helping me lost weight but making me fit. I always worked out but since I joined the YMCA and I do work out a lot. I love taking dance classes, using the weight machines and I recently started to jog/walk on the indoor track. I couldn't argue with someone who called me a gym rat.

That would provide something for most everybody; add in sodium totals and 99% of people should be covered. They absolutely could do this but I think they are well, afraid, to. That is, they always have to have the myth that they have the absolute best "diet" out there. The best food plan. Most people here are more knowledgeable than the average person wanting to lose weight. Too many people still feel that weight loss is mostly about choosing the right "diet"...the magic food plan that will melt off the pounds. WW has always tried to sell itself as having the best, most up to date plan. The reason that WW always touting a new plan was to do something better. Advancing with recent science. To suddenly say that it is fine to do PP or Momentum or whatever implicitly says that those plans are OK. But it goes beyond that. It is really saying that the perfect "diet" plan doesn't really exist. And that is the truth. SO much about weight loss has nothing to do with the food plan. I mean, sure, you need a calorie deficit but there is no one plan that achieves it. Weight loss to me is all about 2 things and 2 things only : (1) a calorie deficit which can be achieved many many ways and (2) behavioral changes to make weight loss sustainable long term. I do think WW can help with both of those. But -- WW is not the only way to achieve either one. I think WW is afraid that people will figure that out and won't find value in the WW plan if it isn't being sold as the one true, greatest plan.... (I actually think they could give value, just not sure that WW agrees...)
