This afternoon I decided to cast on a bay blanket which demands a little more of my attention. I did have to take one row out but I am now well on my way. I will knit my other blanket which is mindless knitting when I am tired and don't want to have to keep counting stitches. But it is nice to have a change.
It's time for bed and I would like to get to church in the morning. Sleep well.

oh good, you made it back Meg. I'm glad it works for you now Meg, I see they do have one listed on craftsy that is called cherry. That's where I got mine. I don't know if they had the cherry color when I ordered last week or not. If they did I should have ordered some. I don't want to have to pay another shipping charge though so I'll wait. I have to go look up that afgan you mentioned. I didn't do it after I got your email earlier. I was trying to get the other tea light done and I did.. It's plain white though and I'm not sure I like it all that much so I might make another one. I need to make more anyway...as I said...for gifts so I do need a few of them in white to go along with other colors that will be in the set.I think I'll make a set of them in pastels for a friend for Easter.Of course then I might have to buy more of the thread I have a lot but, again, not the right colors.

Meg, glad to see that you are ok and were able to post!! That cherry colored yarn sounds soooooo pretty. It sure would be great if you could find a place that carries it!!
Ruth, do any of the colors that you have work for other holidays? It would be a nice way to use what you have- and still have the fun of making the tea lights. Hey, a set of tea lights for the whole year- you know, some in Christmas red and green, others in spring colors for Easter....red w bite and blue for July 4th....do you hate me?
Finished the last towel topper- and after I book our trip (will explain later) I hope to get to YouTube and learn how to make friendship bracelets.
Have a blessed Sunday Ginny

Ginny, I'm glad to hear you got the towel toppers done. I always love when something is completed. I'm looking forward to hearing about your trip. my saga of my tea lights... I made the first one and it was perfect so I made a second one...this one ended up bigger, made a third and it ended up bigger still. I'm following the same pattern, using the same hook and the same yarn. I think my tension stays the same all the time so I can't figure out why they're getting bigger. Finally I made a fourth one and cut down the number of stitches and it's still not as small as the first one. They still look ok but I want them all to be the same as the first one. This is going to occupy my mind till I figure it out. I even tried consciously crocheting tighter to see if that helped thinking that I might have inadvertently crocheted tighter the first time because of it being the first time I used the pattern and such a small hook and thread. It didn't help Ginny, I had that very thought so it just proves gmta I esp thought of July 4th because I have red, white, and blue but unfortunately I don't have other holiday colors. Gives me a good excuse for buying more doesn't it. .I might wait on sending some to my friend for her birthday instead of Easter but if I end up buying more I might do Easter too. I do have pink so one pastel but I have a ton of red in #3 and one in #10. Most of my 10's aren't really colors that I would use for these. The cherry color I saw in pound of love is at Craftsy. They don't have it on the Lion site itself. Craftsy has a set shipping rate which isn't bad and their pound of love is all $8 which is a great price for it. I'll have to check there for #10 thread then I'll be able to buy some cherry P of L while I'm buying. Dh thinks I'm crazy and maybe I am (hey those are lyrics in a very old country song) Right now I'm making a pen holder that goes on a book such as a Bible. It's easy.DDil can use that although her Bibles may have a zippered cover which defeats the whole pen holder idea but if she can't use it she can share with my ds or the grands It uses a #3 thread and I'm using a c hook. Thread is white with sparklies...just right for on a Bible

Hello Crafters - Hope you are all doing well today Ginny - I do use your idea of setting deadlines for myself, since I'm a major procrastinator and that gets me working Glad to hear you finished your towel topper and are ready to start on the friendship bracelets. Ruth - Thank you so much for the link to the Candle holders, I may try one of those they look pretty. When I've seen patterns using thin thread/yarn, I usually try to make it first in a larger yarn for practice, since I'm still very much a beginner in crocheting and knitting. Meg - Glad you were able to post. I usually don't have trouble posting, but these boards are so slow for me when loading, it's really frustrating sometimes. Hope you got in some crafting today. Phyl - Hope you are doing well. I had good intentions to finish the last diamond on that quilt today but ended up with a migraine headache earlier. By the time that went away I just didn't feel like working on the quilt, so hopefully I'll get to it tomorrow. Take care everyone!

I've been looking online for the thread/yarn but haven't found any for a good price AND a reasonable shipping charge so I'll probably wait and just buy it at walmart. And for the pastels all the places I looked were out of those colors.
Phyl, I haven't been to Kmart in years and when I was last there there really weren't any customers. I agree, I don't know how they stay in business.
CJ, I was thinking of trying it with regular yarn and bigger hook to practice but I didn't and was really surprised to find how easy it is to use such a small hook. Now to get the problem with it getting bigger figured out and I'll be all set.
Yes, you'll get that quilt done. At least you did enough to set the way to do it firmly in your mind. I'm a big procrastinator too but today you had a very good reason for waiting.
Ok now I'll quit procrastination and get back to finishing this pen holder
next, infinity scarf for dd..I think
