Good Afternoon, WW Friends ~
Happy Monday!! I have had a great day so far. I picked up a GF and we went to the show to see "The Art of Racing In The Rain" and enjoyed it very much. Then we went to Panera and had salad lunch and sat and visited for a couple of hours afterward.
I am home now and getting some things ready for tomorrow since I have to leave early in the morning (being at school at 8:30 a.m YUK!) so will do everything I possibly can ahead of time. I also put a load of laundry in the dryer so I will need to fold and put them away.
Ann ~ Thanks for getting us started up this morning. Congrats on the testing being done!!
We are meeting DH's VBF and his DD for dinner at Red Lobster tonight. She is leaving for college later this week and has requested this supper with all of us before she goes.
BBL. Make a great day!!

Hi Sue. Enjoy your meal at the Red Lobster tonight How nice that she requested a supper with y'all before heading out to college. Also happy you enjoyed the movie and lunch at Panera. Our lunch at Singapore was delish. Not a good choice for weight control, but oh well.....tomorrow IS another day. Time to unwind and relax.

Good morning all. I was very happy to have slept well last night. Nothing pressing on the agenda for today...at least nothing that involves eating out. I plan on tracking hydrating and planning my meals and will get in some form of exercise!
Will pop in later.

Hi!
Just checking in. DH and I did grocery shopping this morning and now have an enormous pot of spaghetti sauce simmering for tonight’s gathering of the clan. We spent most of yesterday visiting with several different cousins and several different ones will come tonight. I don’t always get to see them all, but try my best. Some don’t get along with others, so it is tricky sometimes. The only one I refuse to see is the stepson of the cousin we are staying with. He is a narcissistic alcoholic who has made making her life miserable his mission in life. It is so sad and we all live in fear that one day he will go over the edge and try to physically harm her. She’s always grateful when we stay here because she feels safer. She also has a St. Bernard watch dog and an extensive security system. I live in hope that he will eventually get sent back to prison.
Judy- It was DH’s high school reunion. The Abbey was a Catholic boarding school run by monks and he and his friends are more like brothers than classmates. They have such a good time when they are together!
Ann- I’m glad your tests went well. I know you will be so glad to get this all behind you.
Sue - I’m sure you and DH were able to offer advice and perspective to the younger couples at Retrouvaille. Financial problems put such a strain on marriages.
My meals have been so unpredictable lately, but I made good choices at least some of the time. Friday evening we will be home and I will jump back on program with a vengeance!

Prayers going out for your cousin, Pam. Nobody should live in that kind of fear. MMM to your pot of spaghetti sauce. Brava for making good food choices. I too have strayed on and off due to stress. Today so far...so good

Good morning all. We are supposed to get rain today. Only thing that is on the agenda is a quick pit stop to pick up hair products at my salon that I ordered. Other than that KOKO for me.
Take care and I'll pop in later.

Good Morning, WW Friends ~
Happy Hump Day!! I am feeling tired today. Our training session yesterday from 9:00 until 3:30 was filled with new information and lots of role playing and team exercises. We had a great leader, and she gave time for breaks and gave us 45 minutes for lunch (which we didn't expect). I had taken my Premier Protein shake with me (in my new cooler lunch bag) and drank that. My partner and I opted not to leave the building, so we wandered and visited with other employees who were in the building. Nonetheless, I was feeling exceptionally tired by the time I got home.
Now I am glad they re-scheduled our days (skipping today) because I feel heavy-headed today. I need to do a few things around here today as well as go Meijer grocery shopping and plan something for supper. Today is my WW WI and then Starbuck's coffee date with my VBF. I am definitely looking forward to that.
Pam ~ I was sad to read about your cousin's fear and discomfort. We have our share of relatives that we don't want to spend time with and I know what a stressor that can be. Sounds like you are having a good time despite the "conflicts".
Judy ~ I am sure you are happily making beautiful memories. Looking forward to hearing from you.
Ann ~ Enjoy your new hair products. That feels like pampering! Yay for a good night's sleep! Have a wonderful day!!
I have finally caught up with my reading and only have a couple of unread books on my Kindle app. I did sign up for a new app called "Early Bird Books" to see if I like them. I also downloaded a new novel from BookBub this morning.
Tomorrow and Friday I will be back at school from 9:00 until 3:30. Friday night we are invited to a softball game where a friend is playing, but I don't know if we will make it. Then Saturday evening we are taking DH's VBF out for his birthday. I am really looking forward to that!!
BBL. Make a great day!!

Sooo...... I have invested another two hours in trying to get where DH could read his morning paper on his tablet. I am thoroughly disgusted with Customer Service, who seems to know nothing about it. I have now been on this project since about the third week of June (when they did their last "update") which makes just about two months. I have lost track of how many times I have called them - how many times I have uninstalled the app & turned off the tablet - then turned it back on (after the appropriate number of minutes) and reinstalled it - and signed back in. I swear it had become a second job!!
Today I decided to do it myself. I was looking at the one on my laptop (desktop) and noting the URL address, etc. It is entirely different than the FP app. So I tried going through Google on his tablet and "found" the paper and "found" our account and signed us in (after some trial and error). Then I got it down to a four-step process to get to the e-Edition of the paper. I knew that would make DH absolutely bonkers early in the morning (or any time for that matter) so I just kept fiddling with it - bookmarking and saving, etc. I got closer and closer to an easy fix - then on one of my bookmark tries, it asked me if I wanted to put it on his home page so I said "YES!" and sure enough, it put the icon on there and it opens the paper right away.
I have closed and reopened it several times so I think we are fixed!! At least this is a totally different approach so we don't have to wonder when it will decide not to open. I'm not sure which is worse - not having his paper or wondering if he is going to or not. I have no idea why they can't get their app to work properly, but I am now convinced that it doesn't. Makes me want to go down there and call all those ladies together and ask them if they knew about accessing it through a browser (like Google). Oh well .......
Thanks for letting me vent. This thing had taken on a life of its own and much as I tried not to let it - it was driving me crazy!! I hate when things don't work - for no good reason!!

Good morning all. Yesterday I was not doing too well. On my walk the other day, I got bitten by mosquitoes and my hand and back were swollen, red, hot and very itchy. I laid low the entire day. Today I feel much better. After coffee I'll decide what will be on the agenda. Carl went and picked up my hair product as I was not up to going!
Going to be another HHH day here.
Sue I am so happy to hear that the newspaper problem is solved.
Wishing AWF a wonderful OP day.

Hi friends i am home today in hot and humid Massachusetts. It was hit in Los Altos, CA but so much drier. Humidity is a killer and I think there is an air advisory today.
I flew on a red eye leaving at 10:30 pm last night and arrived at Logan Airport at 6:45 am. I slept a couple hours on the packed flight but was in a dreaded middle seat and the tow people on either side were moving around and accidentally bumping me so sleeping was quick naps. Once I got home, I slept another two hours or so and feel I can get through the day okay. We were supposed to leave for NJ early tomorrow but have had to cancel plans. My DH was at the doctor with his very swollen and reddened hand. Tests are being done for Lyme Disease and other issues. We have no clue but it could be heart related, too. I called my DS and he thought it for the best that we stay home, too, as he has seen photos of the hand. Just scary looking for the poor guy. Honestly, I feel I would have really been pushing it to have all that NJ traffic after just getting home from 10 days away, but I was happy to do it for our kids and NJ crowd so I am a little disappointed.
i loved reading all your posts. Sue, hooray on fixing that long battle with the paper! Have fun celebrating your friend’s birthday.
Ann, waving hi! I am reading a Jack Reacher novel now- good thriller and I have not read any of his series.
Waving to busy traveler Pam, too. Don’t we all have some relatives who are very difficulty? We all do for sure. Prickly or scary people. Yours sounds scary and I am sorry for your relative living in fear. Just awful.

Good Afternoon, WW Friends ~
TGIF!! I am so glad this week is over. Our High Scope training was a huge drain!! Everyone complained of being tired, but then none of us are used to just sitting all day. I learned a lot; though a lot of it did not have to do with me and my partner (such as writing curriculum and setting up the classroom) but we do spend time and interact with the kiddos so it was good that we learned what High Scope is and how it works.
We were planning to go to a softball game tonight, but when I got home just exhausted yesterday, DH suggested we cancel, which we did. I came home and changed and did some pruning on my patio. DH had been watering my patio pots when he did his wild flower garden, but he must have stopped when we had rain (which does not seem to reach my patio pots). They were pitiful, but I have pruned them and soaked them well and hopefully they'll look better tomorrow.
Ann ~ Bummer about the bug bites! My DH got into *something* that caused him to break out in itchy welts, so we have been treating him with cortisone lotion and Benadryl tabs.
Judy ~ Welcome home!! I do hope all is well with your DH. You and he will be in my thoughts and prayers.Sorry about the heat and humidity. We just got a break from it and today is low 70's with low humidity and absolutely beautiful! There is also a gentle breeze and abundant sunshine. Perfect!!
I went to WW on Wednesday, and as I expected it was not pretty. I was a half pound over limit, but the receptionist said "don't worry about it" and I assured her I would shed it (and I will!). Tonight I have browned a pound of extra-lean ground sirloin and cooked a batch of Mexican Rice-A-Roni. I think I will mix the two and make 2 meals out of it - and garnish it with grape tomatoes and fresh avocado.
BBL. Make a great day!!
