We are a group of like-minded people that gather to discuss a host of topics from weight loss, to current events. Our thread celebrates liberal diversity, welcomes new friends, and respects all opinions. We count everything from calories to points but, we never count our chickens before they've hatched!

Andy Borowitz..... Trump is saying that Obama is behind all the protests but this is the rare case when Trump deserves all the credit for something.

What a disgusting Fake President we have...
POLITICS Donald Trump Blames SEALâs Death On Military: âThey Lost Ryanâ The buck stops with âthem.â 40 minutes ago Igor Bobic Associate Politics Editor, The Huffington Post CARLOS BARRIA/REUTERS President Donald Trump on Tuesday dodged responsibility for a botched mission he ordered in Yemen last month, placing the onus on the military and Barack Obamaâs administration instead.
Bill Owens, the father of Chief Petty Officer William âRyanâ Owens, the Navy SEAL who died in the operation, demanded an investigation into his sonâs death over the weekend. Owens further revealed he couldnât bear to meet Trump at the airport as Ryanâs casket was carried off the military plane last month.
Asked about the matter during an interview with Fox Newsâ âFox ânâ Friends,â Trump repeatedly said âtheyâ were responsible for the outcome of the mission, in reference to the military.
âThis was a mission that was started before I got here. This was something they wanted to do,â he said. âThey came to me, they explained what they wanted to do â the generals â who are very respected, my generals are the most respected that weâve had in many decades, I believe. And they lost Ryan.

Is it possible for this man to get any more disgusting? I shouldn't say that, because he will prove to me that it is. The man was killed on his watch. I don't care when it was first in the planning stages, who was giving the actual orders in the field, but it was on HIS watch. He is supposed to be the Commander-in-Chief. Ultimately, it falls on him and to try to pass off the responsibility is just cowardly. He wanted to be President, so he needs to step up to the plate and accept all that position entails. He is responsible for people's lives. It is time he realized that. From his behavior and his remarks we are shown that in fact he just doesn't care. And he ridiculed President Obama for having tears in his eyes after the massacre at Newtown. Disgusting!

He gets more evil, vile & disgusting by the second. This man has no soul, no conscience, no heart...The thought of him increasing military spending, laying the ground work for conflict & hate around the world, & then sending yours, mine & everyones Kids & Grandkids into a war in the Middle East again, makes me so angry. He'll just be sitting off to the side tweeting how great he thinks he is & passing the buck. Won't be his kids or grandkids coming home wounded & dead. They'll all be sitting in their Ivory Towers counting their money & worshiping at the feet of Putin & Bannon...GAG!

OK, I know I am old fashioned about a lot of things, but I think that certain places deserve a certain decorum. DH likes to read online news from his native country. He just sent me a link from one the papers. There is a big picture of the Oval Office with Tweety in the center surrounded by people. Everyone else is standing, but KAC is sitting on the sofa with her feet tucked up underneath her behind. Now I don't have any respect for the President that Tweety is, but I do have respect for the office. I think that is totally inappropriate and just shows how disrespectful of the office his entire entourage is. And, before any trolls call me to task, yes, I do remember how Bill Clinton disrespected that Oval Office. It was wrong then, and this IMO is wrong now. It's a small thing when you consider all the terrible things going on, and certainly it is not nearly as disgraceful as some of the unnecessary wars, etc. that have been started in that room. Still it just bothered me. So call me old fashioned and picky, but I was raised better than that and so was my daughter.

Joyce, I'm not laughing at what you posted. I hit that stupid smiley face by mistake.
Here's the thing. The oaf and his gang of thugs don't have any respect for the People's House. They have no respect for anything or anyone. I'm not shocked or surprised at anything they say or do. I didn't expect them to suddenly become intelligent, caring, responsible, thoughtful, statesmen. They're worse than bulls in a china shop. Bulls don't destroy beautiful treasures on purpose. They're just being bulls. However, thugs plot and plan ways to destroy and mock beloved things and they enjoy doing it!
Here's the thing. If they don't have any respect for President Obama, Senator Hillary Clinton, the parents of dead servicemen, disabled people, women, planet Earth, Mexicans, Muslims, Blacks, Gays, Veterans, etc., why would you even think they'd have a drop of respect for the American People or the White House?
They're a room full of ghouls and misfits that the American People (with a little help from their Russian friends) put there because, well you know, Hillary had all this baggage. @@ @@

Well, I'm not tech savy & have tried many times, gave up but decided today to try again. Go to General Board...Website Help file...Insert Photo File...I read that, wasn't sure I understood it & not sure I can explain in simple terms...but find a pic, copy pic & web address, come here, click reply,(upper right corner) click on copy icon, copy paste web/photo address in place where it says, then press insert photo... Sorry I can't explain it better, hopefully someone else can or you can understand Deb's directions better than I could. I've only did this once, not sure I can do it again...LOL...Good Luck..plus, I did this on an iPad & I have an apple laptop too, so, not sure if different computers with Windows work different with this.

Linda, I'm still not sure how you posted it but it's the truth!
I'm not watching tonight. The whole thing is absurd. I've had my fill of that mocking, smirking hoodlum. If I never see that asinine face or hear that obnoxious voice again I'll be a happy woman.

Donald Trump goes on a fact-finding visit to Israel. While he is on a tour of Jerusalem he suffers a heart attack and dies. The undertaker tells the American Diplomats accompanying him, 'You can have him shipped home for $50,000, or you can bury him here, in the Holy Land for just $100.' The American Diplomats go into a corner and discuss for a few minutes. They come back to the undertaker and tell him they want Donald shipped home. The undertaker is puzzled and asks, 'Why would you spend $50,000 to ship him home, when it would be wonderful to be buried here and you would spend only $100? The American Diplomats replied, 'Long ago a man died here, was buried here, and three days later he rose from the dead. We just can't take the risk.'
