This is a monthly thread for those of us who have a lot of weight to lose. The definition of “a lot” is something that is determined personally, so everyone who feels they have a lot of weight to lose is welcome to post here.
Please join us in offering support, checking in for accountability, help with questions, etc. We’re in this for the long haul.
We’d also love to hear from those of you who are maintaining a large loss. We need those tips to help us to keep the weight off once we lose it

Good morning
Just a howdy for now. I am back from Myrtle Beach. Ate too many bad things and the scale shows it, but I had fun. I'll catch up later and be back. I hope everyone is doing well.

I call August a wash on my weight because of all the cold meds I've been taking. I'm not going to sweat it, mostly water retention, but it's annoying lol

Hello Everyone sunrose - I'm glad you had a nice time away, you made it home before any bad weather. I love "vacation" food DotRen - You can't control things when you are not well, so that's a great attitude. Hope you are feeling better today. I'm hoping September will be a good month for you. I'm glad the summer is almost over, I hate it most of the time. I'm not actively trying to lose weight right now so if I can just keep eating healthy, keep moving and not gain any weight this month, I'll be very happy. Hope this is a great month for all who post here. Have a good day

Good morning and Happy Labor Day
cj, good for you focusing on eating healthy. Sometimes that's just what we need to do.
dotren, are you feeling better? Colds in the summer are hard.
Waving to all

sunrose49, have fun! I didn't know they still did those (grabs scrunchie and spandex leotard!) Feeling a bit better. Still coughing and taking theraflu at night so I can sleep, but I generally feel better. cj59, we're expecting 98-100 degrees all week - I can't wait for summer to be over either.

Oh! I forgot to post about this lol. In the last 4 years my son has been through 2 starters, 1 ignition switch, 4 batteries, and an alternator. This happened again last week and they finally figured it out: he had a stereo put in at best buy 4 years ago. When we went to pick it up, it wouldn't start and the tech said he "might have left the lights on overnight", so we didn't think anything about it (other than the guy was an idiot). Sons battery died 3 days later - that was the first thing. Since the 2nd battery died about 4 months later, we just though it was a bad battery- it happens - of course we replace the battery, not a shop. Alternator, well it is an old car (2005) so probably just that. Fast forward to all the "well.. it's an old car, bad battery, etc) - the first starter was right after his wreck last year, so we thought maybe it was somehow damaged by the impact; 2nd starter was about a month ago. So last week, son was talking to them and they (they is the shop we always use) were telling him they can see there's something draining the battery and asked him if he had any electrical work done and he said "well I had a stereo put in 4 years ago" and something clicked. They disconnected the radio and no more drain. I told him get a statement from the shop and take it to best buy -they won't do anything but they need to know their technicians installed it wrong and the wiring was really messed up!

Hello Everyone DotRen - That's great that they finally found out the problem, too bad it took 4 years and all those repairs I'm glad you are starting to feel better. sunrose - How did the class go? Hope you enjoyed it. I went grocery shopping and did pretty well. Ice cream has been slipping into my grocery cart this summer. I'm just dealing with it because I know once it gets cold I won't want it as much. Hope everyone else is doing well on their plans.

hi Im new here. I have too many pounds to mention I need to lose. I have been away from ww and will be rejoining next week. I know ww changes up their points plans every so often , I liked the old points, I had books that covered so many things alphabetically. I dont have them anymore. So what is the latest plans that works for all of you? I am very motivated and excited to start losing with ww. I have been using mfp to log my weight and trying to log my food. I am going to be more regular with exercise too. I am a mom of 6, all grown, 2 still home.. 19 and 22 yr old girls. in my 50s, and desperate to get back to a more fit and fab me

Good morning
dotren, wow that is terrible that happened to your son's car! Glad they finally figured it out.
cj, I love ice cream. I try to buy low point stuff.
kimm, welcome to the group. Everyone here seems to be doing different things. I go to WW meetings, but I am honestly not following the program. I have about 60 pounds to lose and it seems overwhelming to me. Hope you keep joining us. Wow 6 kids!
Waving to all
I did not go to the class yesterday. I plan on going this morning.

Good morning
I made the jazzercise class yesterday! It was fun and I was a sweaty mess.
Dotren, I meant to tell you there is a jazzercise app and you can look up classes in your location.
I hope everyone is doing well.

Hello Everyone kimm - Welcome to the thread and the board. I think we are all doing different things for weight loss, but the support here is great. I used the old Momentum plan (from 2009-2010) to lose a lot of weight. Unfortunately I've put some of it back on so I'm working to get back on track. If you are interested in the older points plans you might want to check out the app "ITrack Bites". It has all the older WW points plan and I think it has calorie counting too. Several people on this board use it so you might want to check out the General Discussion board to ask questions. It sounds like WW will be coming out with a new plan later this year, so it will be interesting to see what it is. Some people really like Freestyle and some don't. I guess that's the same for any plan sunrose - I'm glad you had a good time at the jazzercise class, I bet it was fun. I'm doing pretty well but giving myself a break today since I went to a local Amish market and picked up a few treats. I did buy green beans too though, and I'm cooking them right now. I bought a lot less junk than I usually do, so I was happy to be able to restrain a bit. Hope everyone else is doing well with their plans and in their lives
