Good morning
dotren, too funny on the ghost. I hate when things disappear and I can't find them. Makes me mad. Well I never worked on my bedroom. My mom is probably rolling over in her grave.
cj, food issues are hard. I too have triggers (more now that I don't smoke anymore). I'll have a cup of coffee (like now) and want a sweet to go with it. Ugh
No jazzercise this morning. I will go tomorrow instead. Off to the grocery store. One thing a friend said to me is "just think of the things you can eat/instead of the things you cannot" because I have lowered my carbs/sugar. I think bread is the hardest for me. And chips. I like my sweets too, but have really cut those down.

Hello Everyone I think triggers is a very good way to describe a lot of my food issues. I feel like I should always have a dessert (or sweet thing) after each meal, and that's a tough one to break. I used to always eat something sweet in the mornings, sugary foods have always been an issue for me. Of course sitting on the couch and watching TV is snack time I do miss my cup of hot tea with sugar each day. I can't drink it unsweetened and those artificial sweeteners taste terrible sometimes. What I would really like to try is waiting until I'm actually physically hungry before eating. I rarely do that and I think that really adds to my food issues. I know how much more enjoyable food is to eat when you are hungry - just about anything tastes good then. Hope everyone is having a good day and doing well on their plans.

Good morning
cj, I am an eat by the clock person. I think that is from growing up and everything was structured. I rarely eat when I am hungry.
My son asked me if I wanted to trot on the towpath this morning so I am skipping jazzercise and doing that with him. It will probably be 2 miles. It will be nice.
Waving to all

I know one thing that works for me is to have a cup of beef or chicken broth with tabasco or another hot sauce in it. Kills my "head hunger" fast

Hello Everyone sunrose - I think my habits were also formed in childhood, it's tough to break them. Hope you enjoyed the trot with you son DotRen - That broth thing would be good, but I'd be adding pasta to mine I'm glad it works for you. irisinnia - I'm right there with you. I can't believe I gained back weight after working so hard for 3 years to get it off and keep it off "> We just have to believe we can lose the weight and remind ourselves how good it will feel when we do I'm doing alright I guess and just trying to stick to the best eating I can do. At least I've been making my steps minimum each day. Hope everyone else checking in is doing well and that everyone has a great weekend!

Good morning
irisinnia, it is good to see you. I can totally relate on being down about how much weight needs to be lost. I have about 60 pounds to lose and it feels overwhelming sometimes (well all the time). We are here for you.
dotren, wow that broth would diffidently kill my appetite :-0 lol
cj, good for you getting your steps in. I'm glad you are doing alright.
I went to my WW meeting this morning and lost 3.4 pounds. I have cut way down on carbs and I think the jazzercise classes are helping. I did not go on a trot with my son. It was raining when I got up so decided to skip it.

Hello Everyone - Hope you are enjoying your weekend sunrose - Congratulations on the weight loss - you've worked hard for that. I hope you give yourself credit for the hard work Not much going on here. I've planned out my fruit, vegetable and dairy foods for the day and I've already walked about 3/4 of the steps I need for the day. I'm also trying to get back to wear I walk for a set period of time instead of just small walks around the house. It's really shocking how quickly I went from being very active to not being active. But I have to say I don't miss all the steps I was doing last year, it was like I could never sit down all day trying to get them in. I need to find the balance between not enough and too extreme. Have a great day!

Well that was a bust except for eggs. The salsa vendor wasn't there, the veggie guy didn't have green tomatoes, and nothing else really struck my fancy. We did get a dozen tamales that are excellent( and completely off my eating plan lol) but really good.

Good morning
cj, thanks for the reminder to give myself credit--I liked that and just told myself good job! It is easy to get off track with everything. I have been so bad about exercise. I use to be very good. You have some good goals you can do it.
dotren, bummer on the farmers market. Tamales sound yummy. The local farmer markets are over now. Some a little further are still open.
Met my step goal yesterday. Need to do it again today. I also need to be better at night with my eating. Breakfast and lunch are so easy. I just have a hangup in the evenings.

Sunrose congrats on the step goal! Evening snacking has always been my nemesis. Because of the weather, the smaller farmers market is open every Saturday except Christmas week, the bigger once-a-month one is trying to go year around this year. It's always busy, so I hope they decide to. It does close a big block of the downtown businesses, but most of them aren't open on Saturdays anyway.

I have to laugh about something that happened yesterday after the farmers market. We went to starbucks, something I do maybe 2x a month. Went through the drive through. I ordered my usual "trenta americano, no classic, splash of heavy cream" and got attitude from the woman taking the order! First was "for future reference, we don't add classic to americanos", me: "I know that, but I've had it accidentally added before, so I say it to make sure" (now at this point, I'm not getting pissy even though her tone was completely condescending); Her "well WE don't add it", me: ok fine, but no classic -and I laughed a little to try and kill the negative vibe. Her: also, we don't do trenta espresso drinks"; Me: is that new? Her: NO. Me: well I've gotten them here before; Her: we don't make them in trenta ma'am (ma'am was definitely rude as hell); at this point, my good attitude slipped just a bit - me: ok can I get a venti iced americano in a trenta cup with an extra shot of espresso and a splash of heavy cream, please hun. Her: is that all? Me: yes drive up, dh is laughing his ass off in the car; another person hands me the drink and he mouths "sorry", so I ask (louder than I needed so SHE could hear) "can you tell me what the difference is in what I ordered and a trenta iced americano? He says " about 50 cents" *snort*. Seriously.

Hello Everyone sunrose - I'm glad you are giving yourself credit. I think it's important otherwise I know I'd just totally give up if I didn't recognize the good things I do. DotRen - What a "wonderful" customer service experience that was It's really sad that there are so many people in customer service jobs that shouldn't be in them. I know work is hard to find, but I just think if you know you are not a "people person", then get a job where you have limited interaction with people. It's not that difficult! I know I could never work in retail or food service, I just don't have the social skills or the patience. So I try really hard to be nice to those that do work in those areas, like you were trying to do! I learned the hard way that when I order a plain cheeseburger to say that I just want it with the cheese only. I can't tell you how many hamburgers (no cheese) I've gotten after ordering a cheeseburger plain I don't really know how I'm doing, I guess O.K. I'm getting in my steps, working at getting a dairy, fruit and vegetable every day, but I'm starting to eat too much sugar again. Hope I can get control of that since this time of year gets really hard for me. I love all the special holiday foods that in the grocery stores, home baked, etc. Hope everyone checking in is doing well on their plans
