Trump is going to have a rally in my area tonight. The rally is in Rio Rancho (just outside of Albuquerque). There are organized protests, but they will not be held close to the rally location. I ordered my free tickets, with the intention to NOT attend, but I don't think it will make a difference. They issued way more tickets than there is space and it's first come first serve. On the news this morning they estimate there are already about 1000 people camped out waiting for the venue (a casino) to open at 4:00 p.m. What's interesting, to me, is that not all of the people there are New Mexicans. I don't know if that's good, or bad.

He is trying to win New Mexico in 2020. keep the vote campaign for the Democrat Luanne. He is delusional (but we knew that). We have a Democratic governor, all of the top state officials are Democrats, both Senators and all three Congresspeople are Democrats. We only have five electoral votes so I have NO idea why he is even so interested in New Mexico.

He says Immigration problems will gt him New Mexico And here is why he won't get New Mexico:
Reality check: Demographers and pollsters tell Axios it's highly unlikely Trump can win New Mexico's 5 electoral votes.
The state Latino population is overwhelmingly Democratic. Major New Mexico cities are booming and moving left politically, while Republican strongholds are losing their share of the population. Trump lost New Mexico in 2016, and his net approval rating has plummeted from +17 when he first took office to -13 as of July. The blue wave hit New Mexico hard in 2018. America First — a prominent pro-Trump group — told Axios it doesn't have plans at this point to poll in New Mexico.

I admit that for over a week now I haven't been keeping track of the news, but I don't understand why this administration seems to think it is our problem to deal with if Iran or anyone else struck the Saudi oil field. Granted we buy a lot of oil from Saudi, but it's not like Saudi Arabia is some poor third world country that can't afford to defend itself. They have huge amounts of money to spend on their own defense. So personally, I don't believe it is worth one single American life. To say nothing about the fact that if we jump in there will be tremendous ramifications that will last long past even my grandchildren's lifetimes. Could it be that all the bluster is really about the fact that Jared and the tRumps are big "buddies" with MBS?

DotRen, I started reading the article and you're right that it is very interesting, but then it grayed out and wouldn't let me continue reading unless I sign up for an account. Is there a way around that?

Sorry to hear about the passing of Cokie Roberts. I always liked her.

I liked her too. I start over with eating healthy tomorrow. Have chicken breasts delivered today as well as tomato basil sauce. I will use my copper chef on my induction plate to pour 1 cup of sauce in and 2 large breasts. the package says to do the chicken frozen. I start WW Saturday. I usually never weigh myself so I will use WW for the weights each week. I am in it for the long haul.

Trump on Cokie Roberts, "She never treated me nicely." No, she held you accountable for your words and actions. I can't think of any higher praise than for this JA to think she never treated him nicely. Good job Cokie! We will surely miss you.

Yesterday's hearings seem to have been a farce. The only way this JA is ever going to be held accountable is to vote him out of office, and then hope the state of New York will crash down on him. But more scenes like yesterday's I am afraid are going to hurt the Dems rather than help them.

Ugh. He was in Portola Valley where I lived during my high school years. When we lived there normal people could afford to. Protesters had the Trump Baby Balloon, posters of him as Pinocchio and in a strait jacket. Covers the waterfront about him.
