Wow! I'm actually 2nd tonight! I was raised a GB Packer fan. My dad played in HS against Vince Lombardi's St. Cecilia team in Englewood, NJ. Dad followed his pro career. We got our first color TV for SB1, then called the NFL/AFL championship game. SB2 was Green Bay vs. Oakland Raiders and I fell in love with the Black and Silver bad boys lead by Darryl Lamonica, even though they lost. I never looked back. SB3 was Baltimore Colts vs. NY Jets. Our next door neighbor was Chuck Knox who was the offensive line coach for the NY Jets. He signed Joe Namath to the then record contract of $400k per year. We met him in the Knox's family room. My sister Carol was star struck and became a Jets fanatic. My family has a rich and deep football history, including decades of season tickets and meeting tons of coaches and players. Carol and I both worked for the Marty Lyons (Jets player) Foundation - a MakeAWish type organization. Some of the wishes I worked on changed my life as well. Did I mention I am watching the GB Packers vs. Chicago Bears game which sent a flood of memories?

Ann Am reading your commitment and singing "I will follow program wherever zig am go. There isn't a mountain too high...." You go girl!
Susi Ha ha ha . . . I just finished some school work. Have kept have an eye on the Packers v. Beara game. So you and Ann both beat me!
Love the family history. Sending up loving thoughts to your daddy, the Papa Bear. Thx for "telling" us.
Did you notice the player from Warren G. Harding? (I think he is a Packer). That's in my back yard.
my dear mentor, Agnes Smith, was a close friend of the Belichick family.
I once had a brief convo w/ Coach Cowher of the Steelers. I blessed him when he sneezed when we were Crossed paths in Pitts. airport. We were on the same flight to Az.

Thanks for the start-up, Ann!
Susi, it's nice to share your football memories... and to see that you're so relaxed and watching Thursday Night Football.
The inaugural morning of MHMR 2019-20 went OK; I wonder what Friday morning will bring (there was a moment when MousekeTWO realized that kindergarten was "every day" - but then his big brother walked him to his classroom, at the direction of the PhysEd teacher). MissMouse is adding an Afternoon Routine to the schedule - I've just finished typing it up - no "drop the backpack and run" when they get home, but put out their homework folders, empty their water bottles and put in the drying rack, and empty the lunch boxes and put on the counter. Simple stuff to make everyone's life just a tad bit easier.

Mj So this week it gets "real." Ha ha ha. . . Glad big brother saved the day. Yep, attending every day is a big change for lil ones.
A routine will help everyone, for sure and certain.

Ann, Iβll try to follow your lead to move, track and hydrate. Susi, thanks for sharing your football memories. I follow the Raiders but donβt want to watch Thursday night football because NFL football is creeping into every day of the week. MJ, my younger daughter has one in third grade and one in fourth. A snack followed by homework is always the after school routine. I hope all of yours have a great year. br]I have a massage this morning and then will be home till we go out to dinner.

I will: go grocery shopping, buy healthy foods to make meals with, hydrate, go to bed earlier tonight
It was a quiet day at home but read a "thriller" before bed then wound down till 3am...huh! I heard from my sister. She had a busy (stressful?) day at the hospital. Her husband was dehydrated so his electrolytes were out of whack and his urine output low. Due to the length of the surgery and a lot of other things the motility of his intestines is bordering on an ileus. Cinde said she really likes his team and feels they are on top of and fixing what needs to be fixed. her son will be there Friday evening and that should take some of the stress off...sharing it with her sons must help, right?
JUNE: Wednesday there was a cup of love and a cup of fat for sure in the food! What do you you use for bubbles in the bubble bath?
MJ: Great photo of all the grandchildren! It must be a hassle with children to pick up coming out of different doors! I don't think I was ever organized enough to have to-do lists for children when they were in school...
ANN: Sheila should have a much easier time with recovery going through the groin than through the chest! Glad you purchased provisions - hope you got a rest in when you returned home.
LADONNA: Having someone in hospice care is difficult. I wish Randy's uncle an easy passing. Sounds busy at work!
SUSI: Sounds like a busy weekend that should provide fun and memory making with family. I remember my father talking about various players when we would watch football on TV. We lived in Des Moines and he seemed a big Green Bay Packers fan. How wonderful that watching a football led you to memories and that you shared them with us
BECKY: What do you do while on the recumbent bike?
BEE: Love tohe broomsticks!
PAM: Hope the cold doesn't linger
AUDREY: Update on BIL above. You have more energy than I do if you are going to work out with a trainer then riding the bike at home!

Good morning, all! It was SO DARK when I got up at 5 AM...
Prayers continue for all ailing and/or stressed posters and loved ones... and thank you for your prayers for me and my family... especially for the Mouseketeer...
Extra prayers for all who may be affected by Hurricane Dorian as it heads up the east coast... and for those who've already felt its fury...

DivaTaxi is off-duty; Son#1 is taking PTO (personal time off). We've been texting about maybe doing some continuation work in his backyard later this morning. He has found something on-line about breaking down tree stumps by drilling holes in them, packing with Epsom salt, and covering with a tarp. We have Grandpa Eugene's big wood drill bit, a bag of Epsom salt, and the old tarp from Son#2's Jeep. The rain chance is only about 40% and that's this afternoon so we've got a shot.
MHMR is at 7:45 and after I take them to school for 8:55 AM, I will head to LA-F for 9:30 AM PT. Left wrist is achy today (maybe because I was lopping branches yesterday? ya think?!?) but I'm sure that we'll find something to do. The furnace guy was here on Wednesday for reconnaissance and will come this morning to repair an old pipe before it breaks. Toots is staying here to let him in for 8:30-ish. And we have MousekePickup at 3:30 today.
The ASR - After-School Routine - is ready to hang on the MousekeHouse bulletin board this morning. MissMouse's final text last night was "I already told them I want this done every day. Even with Grammy (GrammyWags)." Makes me wonder how yesterday's pickup went...
There's extra time for coffee... βββ...
πΏπ»πΏπ»πΏπ»πΏπ»πΏ Have a healthy-eating day, all! πΏπ»πΏπ»πΏπ»πΏπ»πΏ

Ann, I am WILLING to be AWARE.
Susi, great story. I went to one football game in my life and couldn't figure out why anyone wanted to freeze to watch guys play with a ball. To this day all I am able to do is spell the word. I do remember who Vince Lombardi was.
June, make it a good one!
MJ, MissMouse sounds kind of like my DIL's DIL. Even gave my DIL an app with her schedule on it.
Audrey, enjoy your massage and quiet day.
Cathy, glad to know you heard from sister. Hope his bowels wake up soon.
Pam, hope you are feeling better.
WI slid down a tad.
Going forth as I know how!

June - Hope is was pleasurable reading. For a very quick moment, I thought those were new afternoon tasks for YOU. MJ. Now getting the kids to do it is another thing. Yes that method works but it's not a quick fix. Audrey - Enjoy that massage! I don't normally watch football during the week but I was up and I have a particular fondness for the black and blue division. Cathy - I can no longer read or watch thrillers at night. LOL. Healing prayers for BIL Bee - Since my teens I have been to games in all sorts of weather from burning hot in September to wind chilled -35 in December. We finally gave up our tickets when they built the MetLife stadium. They wanted $5k per seat for the right to buy tickets, tickets went from $85 to $125 per game plus $200 for a parking permit and you had to buy preseason as well. In the era of large screen tv's and sports bars showing all the games, it was cheaper and more comfortable to be local. If September stays warm enough I can even watch the games from my pool!

Now getting the kids to do it is another thing. Yes that method works but it's not a quick fix. Fortunately, they've been told "no games or devices" until the ASR is done - and if BOTH grandmas stay on track, these guys can be quick learners. We timed part of the morning routine (that the Mouseketeer was kvetching about today) and it took all of 30 seconds. PT was fun. Furnace man is done (I have NO idea how much it will cost). Son#1 begged off on the yard work. So we have from now (11:30) until MousekePickup time (3:30); I wonder what kind of trubble we can get into.
