Good morning!
Today I'm a bit off schedule due to a morning appointment, so I'm just getting in. Tonight I have another appointment in the evening, so I'll stay at work an hour late or so to help make up the time missed today.
Last night I packed a huge lunch for myself (and dinner, since I'm staying late). I feel well prepared for the day. When you know that you have a ton of healthy options at your fingertips, it's so much easier to just stick to the plan - it actually takes less effort than going out of your way to get something unhealthy. I also think that getting the exercise in sets the tone for me. When I don't exercise, I eat way less healthy foods.
I was looking over my food journal for the week and I don't think it was a complete write-off. Even on the days when I'm off, I'm not completely off - just a few blips in the evenings, mainly.
I peeked at the scale this morning and I'm right around where I was last week. I have 2 days before WI, so I'm hoping for a small loss this week. We shall see.
Hope everyone has a great, OP day!

Hello Everyone - Hope you are all doing well on your plans wwlurker - Good for you preparing for today last night, that's definitely a way to be successful sunrose - Hang in there and I hope you get back on track soon. Hopefully we can all support each other sunshine - I hope you are doing well today I weighed-in today and stayed the same this week. I know that's a good thing, but it's just frustrating to work so hard all week and stay on track and then not see the number go down on the scale. I really need to work harder to recognize that there are many other ways to measure success than just the number on the scale. I have to admit that seeing no loss kind of set me off to overeat some today, mostly on candy But what I really wanted to eat was a big cheeseburger - I'm just craving a lot of protein. I need to find a day that I can fit one of those into my daily food plan. I did make sure to still get in my healthy foods today, a lot of exercise and my fluids, and I'm accepting that I made the choice to overeat some today and I'll get right back on track with the next meal.

CJ59 I understand about not seeing a loss when you have worked so hard to lose. I like what you said though about recognizing there are other ways to measure your success. So true!
Went to my WW meeting this morning and gained .6
I knew the scale was going to be up so I was prepared.

Good morning! sunrose49 - that's a great attitude to have for your loss. cj59 - I agree - I try to celebrate healthy behaviours as a means of progress. I find it encourages lifestyle change. I also try to take measurements on a monthly basis. I was OP yesterday, so that makes 2 days OP completely. The evenings were rough the rest of the week, but overall, the week wasn't a wash. I was able to get back on track, so I'm pretty proud of that. WI is tomorrow, so I'm hoping for a loss. Have a great, OP day everyone!

Hello Everyone
sunrose - Good for you being prepared for the gain, I hope that helped you to stay on track.
wwlurker - I'm glad you were able to get back on track quickly, that's really important.
I threw out the candy last night before I ate any more of it. Just can't have that type in the house I guess. I have other candy that is in single serving sizes and that helps me to portion it out. The one I threw out was just a big bag.
I had a good on plan day and I'm hoping the rest of the week will go well too. I found some WW Jalapeno String Cheese in the grocery store today and I'm going to try it this week and see how it is. It's only 1 point (old points and Smart points), so it might be a good snack to have around.
I was pleased that I didn't buy any junk food at the store today. Going to the grocery store and buying junk food was always a treat for me each week, and occasionally I slip back into that mode. I have to work hard to just buy the "good" food I need to eat.
Take care everyone.

Good morning everyone! Today was WI day. I was down 0.2, which was pretty good, all things considered. My consultant and I spoke today about curbing hunger, which has been a bit of an issue, and making sure that I cut out the treats, which has also been a bit of an issue. I've been letting junk food creep back in. I need to spend a few days detoxing from sugar and hopefully that will help. My consultant says that the sugar is causing the hunger and that it takes 3 days to overcome the cravings, so this will be my focus in the next few days. cj59 - I love the WW cheese strings - another American thing that we can't get here. I never did make it over the border. Hope everyone has a great, OP day!

Hello Everyone - Hope you are all doing well today.
I'm staying on track today and hopefully will for the rest of the week. I pretty much used all my weekly points on the first day of this week, so I'm trying to keep to my daily points. Since I only get 20 points a day right now, I'm having to be inventive with getting in my food. If I have to go over I will though.
wwlurker - Congratulations on the loss and I hope you can work on detoxing from sugar. Sugar is a big problem for me, I know I eat too much of it, but at least I eat a lot less of it than I did a few years ago.

Good morning everyone! Today is the start of my new week. I'll be working on my detox from today through the weekend, so here's hoping that goes well. Yesterday I stayed OP for the most part. I did have some air popped popcorn with butter (a couple of handfuls) and a honey candy, but other than that I did pretty good. Today I am working late, so we'll have to see how I do. I didn't bring a supper, so I'm going to have to go out at lunch to pick something up. cj59 - 20 points a day is rough. Going over to get healthy food in is a better option than going hungry and then overeating, though! Good strategy. I made a conscious decision not to go to the gym this morning; I had to choose between making up some time at work and exercising. I'm woefully behind this week, as I haven't been able to put in a full day yet! I see work in my weekend future. Sometimes I get frustrated at the fact that I seem to waste time during the day, which ends up taking time away from my family, because I have to make it up (I don't have set hours, but I'm expected to meet certain targets, which won't happen if I don't make up the time). And this week, part of the problem wasn't wasting time, it was that I had personal stuff to attend to during the work day. I hope that everyone has a great, OP day!

Hello Everyone wwlurker - I'm wishing you good luck with your detox and the rest of the week. I feel for you having to work and balance your life and family with that, hang in there I'm doing well today and staying on track. It's been interesting making sure to eat a lot of healthy, filling food on a smaller amount of points. I actually can do it, and the extra points I normally use were mostly on junk food But I'll be glad to make it through the weekend and get a reset of my weekly points on Monday.

Good morning everyone! Yesterday was a perfect, OP day for me. Today I'm debating going to the gym. I have a lunch today and I'm considering an unhealthy choice. I could make a better choice, but I don't think that I would be full. So I may make the less healthy choice and try to exercise portion control. cj59 - good for you for making it work. It's good to think outside the box and come up with new ideas. I hope everyone has a great, OP day!

Hello Everyone - Hope you are all doing well on your plans wwlurker - I'm happy to hear you had a perfect OP day, aren't those great? Hope the weekend goes well for you I'm checking in for the day and doing well. I have a lot going on this weekend, so I need to be careful to stick to a good food plan and to also get my exercise in. It's easy to do those things when I'm home all day, but it's also good to figure out how to do them when I'm busy and not at home. Have a great weekend!

Hi sunrose - I'm happy to your pup is doing better and the surgery is over. I'm checking in for the day and staying on track. I was away from the house all day today, but I had planned for this and took a few healthy snacks with me and managed to only buy a small bag of chips for myself at the event. I consider those 150 calories a treat Hope everyone else is doing well on their plans.
