I love soup and make it all year, regardless of temp. During the hotter months I will use slow cooker vs stove top.
If I can think of anymore, I will post. I love a good chicken noodle soup too, which I usually make from leftover rotisserie chicken.

I can have soup anytime of year but, I don't make my own during the summer months. During the colder months, I'll make homemade split pea, French onion, and Italian wedding soup. In a pickle or for a quick meal, Progresso soups work just fine with a salad and crusty bread.

This isn't about soup but we have not heard the same rumor DebDoesWW has but I certainly hope her rumor is true.

Our last 90 degree day is supposed to be Friday. Inoperable itβs true and that cooler weather is on the horizon for all of us. Thanks to this thread, I had soup again today for lunch!

Right now, Taco soup seems to be our favorite. It can be modified to include more or less beans and veggies, change the meat from ground beef to ground turkey, make it hotter (or not) by using Rotel tomatoes and green chilies and it is point friendly. It's good year round.

Usually throw in the veggies in the frig with some broth and maybe protein in the form of beans or animal protein and sometimes grain...just depends on if it is to be a "meal" or to be a side.
Also make a tasty lentil/lemon/potato/garlic/chard soup...
