I'm IN.
I never got to the finances yesterday. There was a YM conference call... and its "aftermath" of computer work. Nothing dire but...
Must have coffee... ☕☕☕... and breakfast...
🌿🌻🌿🌻🌿🌻🌿🌻🌿 Have a healthy-eating day, all! 🌿🌻🌿🌻🌿🌻🌿🌻🌿

Hi all, Good counseling session last night.
Rough night sleeping-no nightmares because I didn't really sleep.
I've had severe leg spasms since 1:00. Took some more muscle relaxers this morning. My whole body is in one big spasm.
I hope once I get moving I hope things will settle down

Good morning. The skies are clearing in Houston but there may still be a little more rain today. It's very steamy too. I'm ready for a cool front to give us some fall weather.
TGIF for sure! And, right now, it's time for coffee!

And, right now, it's time for coffee! ^all of this. At least it is just piddly rain (translation of piddly rain for the CA people. Piddly rain in Texas is the same as when they do news flashes with SEVERE STORMS APPROACHING TAKE COVER NOW STORM OF THE CENTURY for you guys 🤣) Thanks for all the love yesterday. It was really nice to have the support while trying to keep everyone else calm. ❤️ ((( hpeterson1951))) hope the spasms ease up. diva49 thank you for keeping us running. doordie50 glad your brother and family are okay, it was the craziest thing it came up from Houston and stayed right of the freeway so I knew they were good. DotRen all okay? I know it was just sitting on you guys too and then you got more later on. 🙄 Have a great day friends! ☕️☕️☕️☕️

Good morning. I’m in.
It sounds like everyone remained dry and I’m glad to hear that.
Christmas is coming and I’m thinking all of us outside of TX need to send large gift-wrapped boxes of Pampers to our TX friends. You can never be too prepared!
Dinner with my friends across the street last night was nice; we went to P.F. Chang’s, one of the few restaurants the mom trusts to prepare truly gluten-free food (she is a Celiac sufferer). The waiter and chef even had a concern about a dish that was ordered and the chef visited the table to get direction asd to what to do to ensure that it was gluten free; nice.
The boys in the household turned 19 in July and are heading off to college “over the hill” in Santa Cruz. I’m sure they will have a blast in a seaside college town!
I’m off to the library to set up for this month’s book sale. Inventory is sparse. Donations of late have been all of the stuff people dump on us to recycle for them. Our assistant city librarian had an interesting observation; he said, “I find it interesting that if you give someone a pile of papers and ask them to recycle them, they take them to the recycling bin and dump them. But take the same pile of papers and put a binding on it and, all of a sudden, it becomes sacred and people just want to hold onto it.” Yep, preetty much; even many of our volunteers.
I hope everyone has a great day and weekend.

DebDoesWW, glad you're doing ok - Winnie got over 40" of rain in less than 36 hours. That's just unimaginable. We're good here, got about 4" more last evening but nice and clear today so far, and drying out.

So glad everyone in Texas is safe. I'm feeling old again We found a really nice and affordable Autism Christmas shirt. I sent it out to other teachers, one asked if she could pay by Venmo. I had to figure out what that is and how to do it. I now have Venmo but no clue what to do with it!

One of the weather guessers said last night that he was "sure" the National Weather Service would retire the storm name "Imelda" due to the impact of the storm. They retire names of devastating storms. Allison was retired and it was a 2001 tropical depression. It never made Hurricane status. Many will recognize other recently retired storm names: Katrina, Sandy, and Harvey.

are heading off to college I'm surprised that the college in Santa Cruz has not yet started . Those late September start dates remind me of when I went to college (back in the Dinosaur Era)
