Good Morning, WW Friends ~
Happy Hump Day!! I slept well last night but woke very early this morning (like I did yesterday). I need to adjust my sleep schedule before it is time to change the clocks back. I have been going to bed about 9 or 9:30 and waking by 6 - when I would rather go back to 10 and 7.
Ann ~ Good luck with your surgeon's visit today. I hope he can relieve both your discomfort and peace of mind. Looking forward to hearing from you.
Judy ~ Happy Belated Birthday!! I am so sorry I missed it yesterday, but it sounds like you had a great one and were treated very well. No one is more deserving!!
Pam ~ Patsy Cline is one of my all-time favorites too. I missed the Country Music series but will try to get it on On Demand.
This week (with the new shows starting) we are already compiling a list of shows we are missing on other channels (as we are following The Voice) and will have TV to watch on the off nights (like Thursday and Friday) when there typically isn't anything on we want to watch. Also, we might go to Red Lobster tonight and the time will depend on whether DH's VBF wants to join. If so, we'll miss some of our "Chicago" shows and will have to add them to the list. Also I started watching the first episode of "This Is Us" last night and got too sleepy, so went to bed and will have to catch up with it this weekend.
I have had my breakfast and packed up my stuff for school and still have a bit of time left over. That is unusual, but due to my waking so early. I called my doctor yesterday for these lingering symptoms which now includes a productive cough and he decided to call me in another Rx. I am just waiting for the pharmacy to get it ready. Hopefully by the time school is out today??
I am going for my WW monthly WI this afternoon and then to Starbuck's with my VBF for coffee and conversation. I am looking forward to that very much.
BBL. Make a great day!!

Happy Hump Day all!
Pam, I am hooked on the country music/Ken Burns show as well. I have loved every episode and I idolize many of them including Johnny Cash, Waylon and Willie, Patsy Cline, Emmylou Harris, Kris Kristofferson, Dolly and Merle Haggard and George Jones...the list goes on and on! Was there ever or has there ever been a voice as pure as Patsy's? I think it's funny too that Okie from Muskogee was a joke song for Merle and wound up being his biggest hit. I love all the interviews and stories of childhood. Wonderful show!
Ann, I hope your appointment goes well and that you can be rid of pain. Keep us posted.
Sue, so sorry the cough is persisting. I have a little scratchy throat now but so many people have colds. Tis the season. Hoping it is just allergies. Oh, also Sue, do you watch This Is Us? I had it on briefly last night, but feel like I am missing something with the characters so I decided to see if I missed some episodes last year. I was more into the Country music show at any rate. Also, did they find replacements for your missing staff members? Hope so!
My birthday was wonderful in all ways but the best was in hearing from so many people by text, phone, singing videos and lots of fun. That is what it is all about for me.
I did go to my WW meeting yesterday and was so pleased that I stayed the same. Phew! Miraculous, really, but I'll take it.
Today did not start well for our precious pup Doug. He ate well but seems to be in pain and not getting around well. He was fine last night but I am wondering if he got an injury somehow since he is breathing/eating fine but when I tried to lift him up, he cried a little. My heart broke to leave him, but I had no choice and will see how he is tonight. DH was going to go home early to check on him, but he can't now due to a late meeting so I will try to leave work early today. I SO wish our pups could talk to us and tell us. Today was the first day I left for work without his little adorable face looking out the window at me. He can't jump up on the couch and is staying in his bed on the floor. :-(
Thank you all for kind birthday wishes. Another one bites the dust, but it's all good!

Good morning, WW Friends!
I was preparing to go to bed last night when the doorbell rang. No one there, but it shook me just a little, as I had just read that police had been searching for fugitives in the area all afternoon. I turned on the porch light, convinced myself that an escaped convict is unlikely to ring the doorbell and went to bed. DH was headed to the bathroom and also reassured me it was probably kids out pulling stunts--on a school night!
I decided to call my friend Mary on my walk this morning. Forty minutes and 2.5 miles later, we were all talked out and I headed home. Now, to search the refrigerator and decide what leftovers will make a light lunch. Tonight is my credit union meeting and I never know at which restaurant we will have dinner, so I need to be well-prepared. The scale hasn't been going down, but it hasn't been going up either, which is good.
Sue - I hope the new Rx helps you kick this thing to the curb. Enjoy your day.
Ann - I'm keeping fingers crossed for a good doctor's appt. for you.
Judy -I hope nothing is seriously wrong with Doug. Our furry friends are so precious. Congrats on the maintain at WI! With all your social activities recently, that is a big accomplishment. I always thought there was nothing sexier than Kris Kristofferson singing, "Why Me Lord?"

Pam,
Yikes on the doorbell ringing at night. That is plain spooky, but your DH is probably right about kids pulling pranks. Still it is unnerving.
Had a nice lunch with my friend and I changed my mind and had a Mediterranean wrap with chicken/spinach and feta. It was good! I was hungrier than I thought. We had a great visit. She is just back from Viet Nam on a vacation and off to Portugal next week and Costa Rica in March and then Ireland next spring. She really travels! Lucky girl!

Hi All ~ I have just a few minutes in between school and WW. It is clouding up and getting windier. The wind chimes are REALLY singing now!! The low tonight is 57 with a high tomorrow of only 67.
This morning I ended up calling the pharmacy who claimed to not have my Rx (as usual when they are called in) so I complained enough until she offered to call my doctor's office and get it. She did that and then called me back and said she'd fill it right away. I called my doctor's office and talked with the office manager about why I have Rx's called in under two different names and two different birthdates. I just talked with a pharmacist at Meijer recently who had merged the two profiles and deleted one. Oh well, we'll see, I suppose.
That all took so long that I decided to just go ahead and stop at Meijer and get my Rx and take one on the way to school since I was going to be late anyway. That worked best, as now I have one dose working on this thing. I stopped again on the way home and filled my gas tank. I've gotten a few little odds and ends done around here and still have a few minutes. I am soooo glad to look forward to feeling better!!
I heard from DH's VBF that he won't be able to join us tonight. Red Lobster sent me a text about it being National Lobster Day and a whole lobster is on special today only. I may rethink my choice, but I'm still leaning toward Endless Shrimp, as I do love it! Oh my - so many choices!!
Pam ~ I would be spooked by someone ringing my doorbell as well. We had that happen one night when we were sleeping, but we just ignored it and it went away. My DH thought it was probably a food delivery for someone nearby. Still very disconcerting.
Judy ~ So sorry to hear about your fur baby!! Hope everything works out okay. They are so very dear!!
Ann ~ Good news from the surgeon and I am so glad for you! Take care and get plenty of rest.
Off to WW and Starbucks.

Sue sorry about the Rx mix up. Things like that just shouldn't happen!!!!! I hope the Rx kicks in and you feel better quickly. Enjoy your meal at Red Lobster I am still on cloud 9. Once the stitches were removed I could feel the difference Tomorrow I go for a much needed haircut and color. I'll fully enjoy the pampering. Sleep well, all.

Good morning all. I think I fell asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow I surely did need the rest after the stress of yesterday. Today will be better. After my cut and color we'll pick up a few things here in town then come home to relax. Wishing y'all a great and OP Thursday!
Judy hope Doug is doing better (((hugs)))

Hi!
Ann - I'm so glad to hear that your appointment went well! No more midnight doorbells, thank goodness. Enjoy your cut & color. Mine is Tuesday.
Waving at Judy & Sue.
I got in my walk today, but not much else accomplished. I do need to complete and turn in my reports for my SMP and caregiver support group activities for the month. This evening, DH and I will meet DSIS for a Mexican dinner and then a little theater performance of "The Crucible". Our neighbors' DGD has a starring role in it. DBIL is scheduled for a colonoscopy tomorrow, so will not be joining us. Thankfully, tests so far do not show tumors or a mass. He does have a very bad intestinal stricture caused by past radiation and they will try to dilate that tomorrow and hopefully remove any polyps they find. The doctor has to use a pediatric scope to even get in. Scary!
We ate at a fine-dining restaurant after credit union last evening. I ordered grilled redfish, haricots vert and a salad. I brought 1/2 home, as it was a huge portion and had it for lunch. I'm not sure what I will have tonight.
I'll check back tonight after we get home to see what everyone's been up to.

Back from the hairdressers and happy with both cut and color. I'm wearing it shorter these days as it's too hard for me to blow dry my hair. I'm still limited to what I can do with my arms...and having them up over my head is painful! Pam enjoy your Mexican meal and theater performance. Will keep your DBIL in my prayers. Keep us posted as to how me makes out with the colonoscopy. It's raining on and off here......we got to walk Miss LuLa beforehand so we are grateful for that. If I'm not back online....enjoy the rest of this Thursday which to me feels like a Sunday

Hi all,
TGIF. It's been a good but tiring week.
Yesterday we had a birthday lunch at Nancy Chang's - a great Chinese restaurant - for a colleague's birthday and then last night DH & I met my DBIL and DSIL from Florida for dinner at a great restaurant. So I had two big eating events. We visited for about 3.5 hours and it was so great to see him. He is up north for two weeks total for a family wedding in my DSIL's family, a Naval Academy college reunion and many visits and he is staying an hour from us so we met him not too far away. They spent a week at the Cape at a resort last week. They both looked fantastic and are doing well. I wish we lived closer together.
The downside of all this fun socializing is that I am sick again. I started coming down with a little cold yesterday and all night I was coughing - so bad that I had to go sit in the Lazy Boy to sleep a little. I am on hold on the phone now with my lung specialist to get some meds. I can't face the weekend like this. I am at work today but alone here so I won't contaminate others. Ugh! It's all in my chest not head. I am using all my available lung meds but unfortunately I probably need prednisone again. I feel like I am breathing through cotton.
Sue, I really sympathize with your pharmacy snafus. I had my scripts all fouled up between CVS Caremark and the Pharmacy. Ugh. It took an hour in person to straighten it out. Hang in there.
Ann, glad the checkup went well and that your doctor is happy with your progress. That's encouraging.
Good news on Doug! As DH says, I think he's "cured"! He was lethargic for a day and a half and then back to himself at about 80%. He still cannot climb really well or jump so we lift him. He's cute because he sits and waits and gives us the "eye." He is eating well and walking fine. We think he sprained or injured himself somehow. I talked to the vet, and based on his good eating, etc. , she advised us to wait it out a bit. Thank you for your St. Francis prayers, Ann. They did the trick!
I will check in later. I am still caller no. ONE for about 15 minutes with the doctor. Ugh!

Good Morning, WW Friends ~
TGIF!! I am happy to be off work today. My 4-day weeks are perfect for me. Time to recharge my batteries and get my stuff done around here. I have both a Meijer list and a Costco list today. I am meeting my former partner for lunch (yesterday was her last day) and hope to get at least one of those shoppings done after lunch - if not both??
Judy ~ I am so sad to hear that you are sick again. It seems to be starting earlier this year (at least for us) I did get my Rx snafu taken care of, at least enough to get and start taking my meds. I wish I was feeling better than I am, but hopefully it will come. Great that you got to visit with DBIL and DSIL. Family time is so very special!
Ann ~ I totally agree about great sleep! We had our window open a bit overnight (though they said it was our coldest night in over 3 months). We kept the quilt up over us whereas I usually fold it down to the foot of the bed. I slept well, helped by the fact that I didn't the night before. Enjoy your time out today.
Pam ~ Your lunch sounded delicious. I love when I can bring home enough for another lunch the next day.
Time for me to start the ball rolling. I am still doing my saline sinus rinse each morning followed by Fluticasone spray and then Azelastine spray. It does seem to help, but it's just going so slowly!!
BBL. Make a great day!!
