I joined a long while back and then haven't really been here much.. My sister had breast cancer, so I have been back and forth to help take care of her. I live nearly 1000 miles away from her so when I go there, I stay about 3 weeks. I have been back and forth 6 times since November. I am happy to say, my sister's cancer was caught early, so they got it all and had her do chemo every 3 weeks (6 treatments).. She is now doing herceptin (HER2) treatments, which is a hormone blocker, to keep the cancer from returning. She will be doing that for awhile (every 3 weeks). She has done so well and has come through it like a champ.. She is such a strong person!!!

Anyway.. That is why I haven't been here, other than to peek in and read a bit.

About me...

I have done lowcarb for years and started comparing Weight Watchers to that. I am doing kind of a mix of the two. I am watching my carbs, calories and eating leaner meats. If anyone has any suggestions for me, I would love to hear some.

Such good news about your sister! How wonderful! I had a mammo 2 weeks ago. Have to go back Monday for more images because they saw something on the left breast they don't like. I'm a bit concerned to say the least but try to keep my mind off it. Monday is fast approaching though...ugh. Wish me luck.

I lost my beloved daughter 02/10/15. Since then I have over eaten, especially at night. Need to retrain myself. It's so hard! Hope WW works for me!
