One more thing. We have a sexual predator in the Oval Office who bragged about it! That's just one despicable things about him. And yet, he's the president of the USA.
Democrats have to cut each other some slack and stop trying to be perfect.
We need to stick together like the Reps do! We pounce on each other more than the Reps pounce on us.
We do not have to be perfect. If one of us does or says something unbecoming just move on and concentrate on our goal. That's what Republicans do.
Never complain and never explain. It doesn't matter anyway and it takes our eyes off the prize.
Just saying.

birdgal, I am a Hillary fan also. In the primary I went for her over Obama. I have said it before, but I wish she had gotten the nomination instead of Obama. She would have cleaned up or at least managed better all this middle east crap show, and Obama could have been elected later and we could have skipped the whole Trump mess. In my fantasy world...

Lani, I'll join you in that fanastay world. She would have made a great president.
I know I posted this before but one more time with feeling.
I was standing on line in a grocery store when I heard a woman behind me tell another woman how she couldn't stand Hillary Clinton. The other woman asked why. The answer was because she wants to be the president.
Oh no! What an outrage! Didn't the other woman know that whole bit about study hard, be a good citizen and maybe someday you could grow up to be the president only applies to boys?
I was tempted to turn around but didn't want my ice cream to melt and I wasn't in the mood for ignorance or stupid that day.

Just wondering if a man said the things Hillary said would there be such a big stink about it? Or, would his remarks make you think? . . . Pat, in this case I think the answer is yes, I would still feel exactly the same way--totally flabbergasted and wondering what the heck?! I've been a Hillary supporter for a long time too, but I can't understand why she did this. I can't see that it helps anyone at all except possibly tRump. I definitely can't see how it could possibly do anything but hurt Democrats. That's why it shocks and baffles me so much. I do agree with you that women very often are our own worst enemies, and we don't support each other the way we should. Again, another reason why this is so surprising coming from Hillary now. I also think Tulsi's response was definitely way over the top too, but in this case Hillary did cast the first stone for some totally inexplicable (at least to me) reason. There is still a great deal I admire about her, and I certainly wish she was sitting in the White House right now; but, this shocks and it does disappointment me in her. No politician is perfect. Hillary's made her share of mistakes just like all the rest of them, but this seems like a vicious attack without any basis to back it up, and one that's coming at a terrible time.

I don't know if it's really cheaper to host the G7 at tRump's property or not. I don't think it matters. No matter how you slice it, it still comes out that he is profiting from the Presidency. Of course, he's been doing that since the day he was sworn into office. I suppose this is just the most blatant and public case. But what about the fact that he rents out space in his own buildings to the government to house the Secret Service who are there to protect his sorry life? To say nothing about all the foreign officials coming to stay at his properties, etc. He's just a grifter with a big con, and we are all the hapless marks.

This JA must be really starting to feel the heat. Now I understand he's decided that the G7 will not be held on his property after all. Gee, and when we were told it was the best property in the entire country to accommodate them, actually the only property that could adequately do it and also was going to be the cheapest. Funny thing about that. As for impeachment, I don't see anyway it can be avoided unless we want to just throw away the Constitution. I hope Nancy Pelosi knows exactly what she's doing in not speeding things up. So far though I have to give her a lot of credit. She seems to know exactly how to deal with a bully. Maybe that's the mom and grandma coming out in her. When you combine those things with being smart and politically savvy, they can go a long way.

Trump proclaims "National Character Counts Week". I'm not kidding. That goes right along with Melania's campaign against cyber bullying. By the way, did she ever actually do anything with that other than just announce that was a priority for her?

nashville11 , all she ever did was come up with "be best" as far as I know. ETA: Our fearless leader blames "crazed Democrats and the media" for making him withdraw Doral for the G-7 Summit. Hey, since when do you even care what they think, say or do? What's the matter tough guy? Are you going to let these losers push you around? Guess so...

Ugh - been too crazy busy to post. I never even weighed in on the debate lol. The idea of this sh!tshow lasting another year is too much. It's scary to think about the damage he can still do.
Does anyone wonder why AOC threw her support behind Bernie with an endorsement? EW no doubt thought she dodged a bullet. She probably said, Phew! I'm a bit more moderate and think that some of Bernie and Warren's ideas, while aspirational, are very unlikely to succeed - at least in my lifetime. If we hope to handily and convincingly beat tRump in 2020, we'll need a large coalition. I don't see independents, never-trumpers or those in fly-over country turning out in big numbers for an agenda that's too far left. BTW, I hope whoever does get the nomination will use Andrew Yang in their administration. And not for nothing, we'll need every one of the senators currently running to retain their senate seats.
I think the resurfacing of the big bed bug infestation at the hotel may have also played a part in his reversal LOL. There's never an original thought from any member of the tRump family. tRump always projects out the same phraseology, insults and accusations leveled at him. Melania borrows or steals from Michelle Obama. Even Ivanka lifted Hillary's micro loans, and women and girls initiatives. Spare me!

I was disappointed to learn of ABC's footage filmed from a Kentucky gun range purporting to be of fighting in Syria. We don't need actual fake news to bolster the prez and Faux News.
It sounds like it was given to ABC by an outside source and not checked. They (ABC) are acting like they hope it just goes away.

lani , that really disappointed me in ABC too, and the last thing we need is any credence given to "fake news." That just plays right into the JA's hands. Pam, I agree that Andrew Yang is very smart, and he would do well in a supporting role (maybe a cabinet position) in any administration. I also agree that I think going too far left is going to hurt. While I like a lot of their ideas, I don't see them being implemented anytime soon and after the fiasco we have had I think people are longing for "normal" -- steady leadership that can appeal to a wide range of voters. The more I hear from Amy Klobuchar, the more I like her. She sounds strong and I think she can have wide appeal in a general election. I'm just worried that she can't win the primaries and get the nomination. What do the rest of you think about her and her chances?

nashville11, I thought she did well in this last debate but, she's gotten no traction all these months. I remember thinking she should go ahead and run when she did so well during the Kavenaugh mess. I actually think it's possible for us to see three separate winners for Iowa, New Hampshire, and South Carolina. A week ago, I heard pundits say that if Biden and Bernie flame out, that there may be room for a moderate to move up but, I have no idea - I guess anything is possible.

There is something I don't like about Tulsi either. Couldn't say exactly what it is. Just a feeling.
I did not like the way she instantly became a moderator by turning to ask Warren a question causing the real mod to reel her in and take back his role.
I know it's a small thing. But fleas are small things too and can cause an awful lot of pain and sickness, even death, if not dealt with immediately.
I like Amy. I like mostly all of them. Lol.

Tulsi doesn't stand out for me either, Pat. She really never has. I appreciate her military service, and sometimes she makes a point that I like, but she's not someone who really grabs my attention and never has been. If we're being totally superficial, however, she definitely is the best looking. LOL! I do think she's very pretty. I almost feel strange saying that though because I don't want to come across as being patronizing and negating her intellect.
Pam, that's the thing with Amy. I think she could appeal to a wide base maybe cutting across party lines, but I seriously doubt she'll ever get the chance because people who vote in the primaries are more likely (I think anyway) to vote left, and if they vote middle are more likely to vote for the tried and true Biden. But the more I see of her the more I think she might be the one who could have the most appeal for both sides of the aisle (who are not on the far edge) and those in the middle. A lot of people find Bernie too far left, and Elizabeth is pretty close beside him. Biden is middle, but he comes with a lot of baggage and some Republicans will never consider voting for him, so they will either vote for the JA again or else just not vote (which would be ok). Mayor Pete is super smart and he's very well balanced in the middle, but from what I hear in the news reports he's going to have a tough time with the black vote, plus a lot of people don't think he has enough experience. So to me Amy is the candidate who can best meet what I see as what we need right now, but unfortunately I agree with you that the chances of her ever having the opportunity to show us are very slim. Regardless of who wins the nomination, however, they definitely have my vote.
My motto for this election is, "Vote Blue No Matter Who."
