Saturday I can hydrate track plan and move. We never made it to visit with Sheila today. Maybe tomorrow. Spent time on the phone with Reenie. She sounded a little more upbeat. Sweet dreams

I too can hydrate, track, plan and move. I have been uninspired planning meals and we need to do our grocery shopping. The weather is still fairly warm so Iām not ready for comfort foo like chili or stew. The movie was cute yesterday and appealing to a 7 year old boy which was most important. Granddaughter Mary will be here at 5 p.m. to spend the night. We are going to take her out for dinner. Have a lovely Saturday.

I wonder how accurate MFP actually is. I am eating as it says using the information it provides BUT am thinking I might be eating more calories than it says I am. Hmm... Weight hanging out about the same but not moving down right now. Will see what tomorrow morning brings. Nothing on the agenda for today but making something using the spinach we have in the frig. It will be a good day.
I finished His to Defend by Rhenna Morgan and enjoyed it. Some reviewers found the hero too domineering and alpha but he was a Mafia pakhan so...what did they expect. Anyway...on to the next book and it seems I need to read book 1 so I can read the 2nd and it is set in 1938 with a Detective Inspector sussing out murderers. I am hopeful it will be like Foyle's War or similar. Hope to read quickly and move on to the next books that I have afeeling will be good...vegan cookbook, cowboy christmas romance and a historical romance by an author I read for.
I can: track in my journal and online, walk 20 minutes or more, hydrate, think positive, fruit and/or vegetable at every meal, think GHG/Exchanges
SUSI: I think 70 is a fine age to "maybe" retire. My brother has to retire from anesthesiology at 70 but might find other clinics to work in after that if he really wants to keep working. I don't think SOME jobs can be done forever but others definitely can be.
MJ: You always seem SO busy! I am sure your activity keeps you young. Hope your wrist feels better!
ANN: See above for the book I finished and the ones I will be starting, reading and finishing by the 15th. I still have a beta read (before sending to the publisher) and need to sneak it in somewhere but have been putting it off as it is, the author says, over 400 pages! No jackets being worn here, yet!
BEE: (((HUGS))) How could the doctor scratch/cut your cornea and not realize she had done so? I hope there is a fix and all will be right with your eye/eyelid. Keep us posted. Glad the change in computer screen and staying off the computer is helping. If you read on an e-reader device you can also change the color too white on black. My sister does that when she reads at night and her husband wants to sleep...usually when they are camping not at home...there she can read in another room.
AUDREY: Sounds like your temperatures during the day are similar to ours but your nights are cooler. Nights here are high sixties, I think. You must be having so much fun with your grandchildren...kind of envy you!
PAM: Hope all the snow melted, you had a nice time at the beauty salon and ended the day with a blue dot.
BECKY: I am sure SS helps...wish that the school I worked in while living in Saudi Arabia had paid into it but...water under the bridge. I might be tired, too, if I had gone to two big supermarkets!

Ann - Hope you get you visit in today. Audrey - Enjoy the time with the grandkids Cathy - I am so envious of your ability to read like that. I used to be able to but no longer have that kind of concentration. I find MFP to be extremely accurate as long as I am using accurate data. If something doesn't "look" right calorie wise, I'll go search out NI from the package and enter it. Dinner was wonderful last night but between a touch too much and a complete salt bomb (especially the corn chowder) the scale is way up this morning. Nothing that a lot of water and reining it in today can't fix. Worth the time spent with these friends.

Good morning all. Going to be warmer today. Perhaps I won't need a jacket....I think a sweater will do Audrey happy you enjoyed the movie. We watched Bohemian Rhapsody last night and enjoyed it. Cathy great goals. I never used MFP so can't help you there. Thanks for the book recommendation. Enjoy your laid back day. Susi happy that you had a great evening. You are right. I know you'll get rid of the weight you put on. It is so worth it once in awhile when spending quality time with friends. I got a text message from Sheila and she wants Carl and I to stop by. I'll give her a call later and see what she would like us to bring. Waving and wishing LaDonna MJ Becky June Pam Bee and anyone else I may have missed a great and OP Saturday!

Good morning, Ann - Audrey - Cathy - Susi - and AWF!
Prayers continue for all ailing and/or stressed posters and loved ones... and thank you for your prayers for me and my family... especially for the Mouseketeer...

WW workshop at 8 AM; I wonder if there'll be any scuttlebutt about the plan changes that are coming out in November. It's a no-weigh week for me, so I'm having my breakfast before I head out, thus avoiding the siren call of Manhattan Bagel next door to the studio.
Then? We have the Kressling & the Zigster arriving at some point; the Kressling may stay overnight. K'ling2 has a soccer tournament this weekend and the parents are trying to get three boys three directions over two days.
I think I've got some Autumnal Weltschmerz going on, hence my lack of ambition. <meh>. As I texted to DDIL when I told her I wasn't coming down to The Plantation yesterday: "Weather and stress - a losing combination." Another cloudy day here, good for soccer and melancholy... <ahem>...
Coffee, however, will be a constant... coffeeeeee... āāā...
ššššššššš Have a healthy-eating day, all! ššššššššš

Cathy, the doctor did not do the scratching. That is from the eyelid. She said I would have to wear a medicinal contact the rest of my life and take antibiotic drops. Then she said I wouldn't. It may come down to that.
I went to my local eye doc, because the eye felt like it did when I had a corneal scratch almost 2 years ago when all this started.
My eye doc is saying they cut the lid wrong --- but he has absolutely no expertise in this area.
He is sending me to an ocular specialist to see if anything can be done.
Since I have only spent about maybe 45 minutes on the computer each day, the eye is not as bad. It just may be eye strain.
I also found a place to download a thing where I can decide what my screen looks like. It is less stressful on my eyes at a reading position.

bee , I'm sorry that the more important solution has created this long-term discomfort... sending gentle {{{hugs}}} and prayers that you and your medTeam can come up with a livable solution. ann1953 , I hope you have a good visit with Sheila! jamescat1 , I'm not ready for Fall/Winter menus, either. But then we hit a cool day and I don't want salad either... <sigh>... cathygeha , the Kressling is 14 now; that's his dad (Son#1) at home when he was just days-old. susiq25679 , the Mouseketeer is still seeing DrK on Tuesdays although we've had a couple of Tuesdays off (but with enough warning and for good reasons so Cj & I could discuss WHY there was no session - the "school counselor" cancelled often and randomly with no reasons last year). He's doing VERY well in school - he really likes his teacher. The CCD folks, after only 4 classes and a stellar Week 3 comment on his behavior, "think" he'd be better off home-schooled <!?!>; MissMouse & Spouse are seeking other options since they want him educated "in community" and not just on photocopies completed at home and on-line testing with a once-in-a-while "project" at the church.

Back from an extra long hood walk. Happy that I put on my comfy shoes as we were out and about longer than normal. It's good walking weather...and I didn't need a light jacket. What makes a huge difference is even though we don't have sunshine, there is not wind like there was yesterday.
Breakfast is done, lunch is in the making, and we will be going over to Sheila's early evening just to chat and perhaps watch a movie. That works out better for me, as I will just take over some sugar free candy that Sheila can enjoy later on.
Will pop in later on.

Praying for a good solution Bee It sounds like the school doesn't want to put in any effort to help MJ. Praying for a good solution. Glad you had a nice walk around the hood Ann. Front, back and far back are mowed. Granite disposed of for Monday removal. Only one load left after this. Slider screen repaired and both slider exterior doorways washed. Pool skimmed and vacuumed and is now draining. Off to pick up a few things at the supermarket. My tomatoes are still SOOOOOO good and sweet. I had a tomato sammy for lunch with some basil. Then either relax on the deck for a bit or perhaps assemble the writing desk I bought.
