Good morning everyone.
Gary I read your post on last weeks thread and I hope you enjoy your 2 days off. I can imagine it is pretty busy at Wal Mart at the moment so 2 days off will give you a break. I am just going to have a lazy day today as I have had a busy 2 weeks. We had a few friends here yesterday to celebrate Christmas and we had too much food but we still have Christmas coming up so it will get eaten, I probably ate too much so I will have to eat more moderately the next few days.
I will check back later.
I wish you a day of peace & joy.

Hello. Thanks for the start up Meg. Busy days around here too. Well all of the $$$ spent by George Soros and company did not do a bit of good to try and get the electors to change their votes. What they mostly did was insult them with their stupid ads. I've read stories about the republican electors being followed, getting nasty mail and death threats. That windbag Michael Moore said he would pay the fine for any elector that "votes their conscience". (sp). The funniest thing is.....Hillary lost more electoral votes than Trump!!! Trump was two I think and Hillary was four or more. Hahahaha. Bill Clinton is blaming "angry white men" and FBI Comey for Hillary's loss. Here is a newsflash Bill...she was losing long before Comey. I want to know, why is it okay to bash white folk? Nobody says a word.
What a terrible day across the pond.....seems like terror attacks are now the norm over there. That is the thanks these countries get for opening the floodgates to "refugees". A terrible shame....how do you root out the evil hiding in plain sight?

I saw the article about Slick Willy, and another one that Obama blamed Hillary for forgetting the little man, and concentrating on the big cities. Hillary had all the big celebrities endorsing her and forgot they only counted with the elite. Mr and Mrs America voted Trump in, Hillary's deplorables. I am sure she is regretting that statement. Hillary lost the election herself, by being an egotistical witch who thought she had it won. I would have rather a different Republican run, but no way would I ever vote for Hillary. Nasty, evil, self-serving lady who is dishonest. They are even throwing her best friend Huma under the bus. I just hope that Trump can do the job and make the USA a respected country again, Obama made us the laughing stock of the world. He made us weak. It used to be the the USA spoke softly and and carried a big stick, now we speak softly and carry no stick, just bow down to everyone. And Michele, we have no hope, what a great First lady, never felt like an American til she was in the White House. I'm done.

Originally I was voting against Hillary, but I have to say, I am very pleased so far with what Trump is doing. Mostly that he is pissing off the lame stream media! No, that's not true...but it is fun to watch what they say after each appointment is announced. I have been monitoring CNN on line....seems they NEVER have anything good to say about Trump. If I was him, I would reward them with a seat waaaaaayyyy in the back of the press briefing room and "find your own transportation...no room for you on Air Force 1!!!! Screw em!! Isn't it funny that slick Willy does not even think that his own disgusting behavior while being the President turned people away from voting for his "wife"? There is a HUGE population of voters that remember QUITE WELL what he did the in Oval Office with a certain intern while Bin Laden was making plans to kill as many Americans as possible. The entire Clinton family is in denial, as is their supporters. As for Huma..her husband, Weiner, is disgraced, yet she continued to live with him and did not begin any kind of divorce proceedings until the latest thing where their child was involved....but as of October, they were still living together. All kind of weird if you ask me. And this is your most trusted advisor? Come ON!!!! And you want the American people to have this person by your side in the Oval Office? Really? Get a clue! It wasn't Russians, or the hacking (although wikileaks confirmed what MANY CONSERVATIVE news programs have been saying for years and years)....it was the CLINTONS....they lost their own election. Good night! Trump is our new President!! Lin

Great to see everyone here today. I've been too busy to even turn on the news to get the results of the Electoral College until I came home from work a few minutes ago. Trump, a billionaire, certainly has the pulse of the average American while Clinton has the pulse of the average out-of-touch billionaire. What a joke her candidacy was.

It is an exciting day and I am happy that officially Donald Trump is our new President. He was DT was not my first choice but I would never vote for Hillary. The more I learn about DT the more I think he will do a good job and certainly we can all have Hope this Christmas. I do like the people he has chosen for his administration. We have a lot to look forward to in the New Year.
The terrorist killings remind me of what the people of N. Ireland went through on an almost daily basis for 30 years. We do not need that happening here in the U.S. The people of England went through terrorist attacks during that time. I look forward to our military being built up. Obama got rid of so many of our top military people because they did not agree with him. Having a strong military should be one of our top proprieties.
I am so tired of the liberals sour grapes. The Democrats did a terrible job of governing and they got a vote of no confidence I am so glad that, that winey little man Harry Reid will be gone. He obstructed over 300 bills from going up for an up or down vote. I hope we can move forward now.
It's late and I am going to bed.

I too am glad that obstructionist Harry Reid will be gone. I can't believe he is a member of the LDS church. He certainly doesn't act like a member. I'm willing to bet he hasn't set foot in one of our chapels for years. Mitt Romney on the other hand is temple worthy. That was his problem in the election he lost; he was behaving like a church member instead of a politician. I have never seen anything like the total hypocrisy of the Democrats - it was Hilary Clinton who said how horrible it would be if Trump didn't accept the results of the election - and now she and the rest of the Democrats are behaving like children.

So a man drives a truck into a crowded outdoor Christmas market in Berlin, no indication of braking, no swerving to avoid hitting people, people are killed, others injured, people are terrified - and even Fox News questions whether it is terrorism! Duh? It was terrorism, plain and simple. Why after every act of terrorism is the question asked "was it terrorism" - even by Fox News? This is crazy times we are living in. If I saw a vehicle veering through a crowd I would be terrorized - plain and simple.

Just hooked up my Star Shower. My gf said it isn't that good because the lights are so small, but I put it in my driveway and it is beautiful. The lights come in through the window and door into the kitchen. I like it. I think if I put it in the front yard further away the lights would be smaller.

Agree about Harry Reid. Good riddance. what a weasel. Gary, is the light the one as seen on TV? I was wondering if it worked as advertised. I cannot believe these morons that continue the fantasy of Trump not becoming President. Michael Moore needs to find something else to do. He is just not very important. When Trump takes office, he should go after all those people that tried to interfere with the electors and harassed and threatened them. Talk about voter intimidation!!! Don't you think that somewhere along the way numerous civil rights were violated? More whine from Mrs. O. I read where she was moaning to Oprah about how awful all the republicans were to them. Wow, she is such a hateful person. One of these that finds insult where none was intended. Her and her husband divided this country something terrible. I am really sick and tired of "white people shaming". These looney lefties are drifting so far away from reality. It's scary. Did anyone see the MTV "white guy shaming" thing? Keep it up, Trump will win again in 2020. Meg I didn't realize the N. Ireland thing went on for 30 years. Back then there was no internet and my Dad read the NY Daily News. I remember seeing pictures and articles, but it was so far away. Am ashamed to say that for a long time I did not know Northern Ireland was not "north Ireland". Lin

Yes, the Star Shower is the one shown on TV. One of the few things advertised on TV that seems to work as advertised. Walmart buys many of the products advertised and I have bought some of them but most of them don't work as advertised. One was the Schticky - suppose to work better than a lint roller. I bought a set from the company but they only work for a couple swipes before you have to clean them - no better than a regular lint roller with the tape you have to pull off every 2 or 3 swipes. Another was the Old Brooklyn lantern. It works but isn't very bright. I keep mine by the driveway door in case I forget to turn on my porch light and need to see to get the key in the door. I also bought a My Pillow from Walmart. It's not bad but I still wake up with a pain in the neck - and it's not my wife!

Linda, My family lives in Northern Ireland. Luckily they were never injured. I visited there many times during those years. Cars were not allowed into the Belfast City center. There were security guards and check points at all entrances into the city. There were army guards all over the place with guns at the ready. At all the department stores in the city center there were guards on all the doors and everyone had hand bags searched. At one bank I had to leave my shopping bag with the security guard at the door. Car bombs were always going off and hundreds of people were killed or injured during those years.
The hospitals had to deal with so many severely injured people that the doctors in Belfast hospitals are some of the finest because of their experiences.
On a Saturday afternoon in the country town of Omah (?) a car bomb went off in a narrow street full of people doing their weekend shopping. Men women and children were killed. That was one of the most horrific tragedy. I am sure if you were really interested you could find out more doing a search on the internet.
My point is that the terrorist attacks in Europe remind me of what the people in N. Ireland lived through. We may come to the point of having security guards everywhere and also troops armed and ready on our street corners.

Meg, that must have been awful times for you and your family. Sounds similar to what Israel lives with. If you visit NYC you will see plenty of security; there is also plenty you don't see, behind the scenes. I think it is London that has one of the most advanced CCTV around the city. I can't believe the Berlin police had the wrong man. Why are they so sure he was the wrong man and not an accomplice? So now the real terrorist is in hiding, just waiting to pop out and do another attack. Merkle is up for re-election soon.....I'll bet the people in Germany will be showing her the door. And it is not unrealistic to think it will happen here too....actually, it already began a few years ago with the numerous "lone wolf" attacks across our country. Was looking at a list of convicts that Obama is pardoning or commuting their sentences. Gang bangers, drug dealers, wow, what a guy. A hero to all. This was funny: +++++
Former Democratic presidential candidate Jim Webb sent a rare tweet Tuesday, poking fun at former President Bill Clinton's recent statement that he won the 1992 presidential election in a "landslide."
"Bill Clinton reminds media that he won by a 'landslide' in electoral college," the former Virginia senator tweeted. "Let's remember he won only 43 percent of the popular vote."
Clinton's comment came during a Q-and-A session at an event in New York earlier this month. The former president disputed the notion that Trump, who had a major advantage in the Electoral College but lost the popular vote by nearly 3 million votes, won the election by a landslide.
"Landslide? I got something like 370 electoral votes. That was a landslide," Clinton said.
Clinton got the plurality of the vote in the 1992 election, with 43 percent of the vote. The remainder of the vote was split between then-President George H.W. Bush, who got 37.4 percent, and independent candidate Ross Perot, who won 18.9 percent. ++++++++ I did not realize Perot got that many votes. I wonder what our country would be like right now if Perot did not run and Clinton did not win? Interesting.
Gary, I've been wanting the My Pillow, but it is kind of pricey. Lin

Remember in October we had a freak hail storm that did damage to roofs and other things all over town? I thought I got away light with only having to repaint a little trim above the storage shed door. Well, today the guys who sealed my roof before came around inspecting roofs and I found out I had some damaged shingles and the storage shed roof was damaged - I was wondering about the musty smell in there - now I know why. I probably have some clothes and blankets, etc. that have mildew. Anyway, they patched my roof, replaced damaged shingles, and resealed the roof. It wiped out half of my SS deposit - just glad I had the money in the account to pay for it. I was actually hoping they would come around for a change. Anybody who says God is not watching over us is totally mistaken. The timing was perfect - my SS deposit went in today to cover it.

So nice to hear good news, Gary.
I've heard of the passing of Evesong. You probably don't know the name. A lovely lady and too many friends passing this month.
I grew up in 50's, 60's and it seems Northern Ireland was always having bombs go off in the market areas. It went on forever.
Michael Moore is a waste. He needs to go back under his rock.
Stay safe, sleep well.
