I followed the core plan for years, although the original plan was intended for two weeks..I found it so helpful, I never went off, until I did...several years later. I, too, am looking for that original diet. I can partially visualize the very short list..no bread, but 1/4 cup of rice (or? I always chose rice)..Never figured out breakfast..I just remember my daily version of how I chose to use it breakfast (bad for cholesterol 2 pieces of Bacon, Oscar Myers, contester, 2 eggs, and sliced tomato lunch, always a salad with pieces of chicken, or canned salmon dinner, 1/4 cup brown rice, a steamed vegetable or several, and chicken, or fish. that was the basic, no bread, a few tablespoons of olive oil, 1/4 avadaco that is all I recall. today, November 2, 2021 I have started core again..the only diet that ever really worked for me other than the very original 1971 weight watchers, where we had tuna fish 5 days a week..that was really successful, can't find it anywhere..except that was the diet that ushered us into chemical alternatives, like sweeteners, and " I can't believe its not butter."

Hello!
I just came across a post about the old Weight Watchers core plan. The individual loved that plan. I did too! I really don't like the new plan with its dependence on strictly digital media. I rejoined WW just recently and was told that he ONLY WAY I could work the plan was by doing it digitally. I hope to be able to withdraw from the plan because I simply hate digital.
Why can't Weight Watchers come up with an alternative plan for people like me? I know I'm not the only one that would prefer not to use all the digital stuff. I feel like Weight Watchers has let me down!

You are so correct and they also have forgotten all the old Lifetime members - Me included - no smartphone - only computer. I know several of my Lifetime friends have left. It is a shame!!!! I started in NY when had to drink powdered milk and eat liver. This new plan is the only one I cannot get used too!!! Everyone have a GREAT DAY!!!!

Today I was just reading over the old Core list of foods from around 2004, and I'm wondering, Why the heck didn't I try it? Â Just about everything under the sun is on the list...except for bread, of course. Â Two teaspoons of healthy oil required. Â All FF dairy, whole grains galore, F&V, potatoes, lean meats including beef. Â On top of everything, you got your 35 weekly points for whatever you wanted. Â I believe that when Core became Simply Filling, "lite" bread was added.

I used to follow the Core plan and I now wish I had kept all the information. I've found a copy of the Simply Filling Food List but no trace of the Core plan. Do you have any idea where I can find a copy? Also I can't remember if we were allowed a daily allowance or just a weekly allowance...... and how many??? I would be really grateful if you could help me out with some details of the plan. I've tried the more recent plans but I'm not happy with them so I've been calorie counting instead but I'm weary of weighing, measuring literally everything I eat, I would dearly love to get back to my beloved Core plan. Thank you. How would one calculate points now to use up the 35 weeklies?

Hi, all! I’m back to the original Core Plan after reaching Lifetime then gaining. I had begun Core when it was first introduced and at that time they offered the Turnaround Program where you could switch back and forth from Core to the Flex (counting Points) Plan (tho I never did). I have all my original materials and it’s been wonderful to return to eating healthy again. I’d love to find others who are doing original Core but the FB groups I’ve seen that are doing the new Purple plan seem to focus a lot on baked goods, breads and sweets. The daily GHG’s with Core (and also the Flex plan at that time) were: * At least 5 servings of fruits and vegetables * Choose whole grain whenever possible * Include two servings of milk products * Drink at least 6 glasses of water * Two teaspoons of healthy oils * Get enough protein - a serving or two daily * Limit added sugar and alcohol * Take a daily multi vitamin On Core and Flex the Weekly Points Allowance was 35. So glad to be back on the Core Plan! Are you still following this? I do not like the new ww plan and canceled my subscription. I am on Facebook and would love to have an accountability partner.

Hi DeeCee and welcome to the boards! I wanted to make sure you saw what itsrad posted about registering so you can private message people your email address. We take security very seriously here, we are a public forum and the spammers scroll looking for that kind of information. Also if you are looking for CORE accountability partners, make sure you check out some of the threads on our CORE Board wwmessageboard.freeforums.net/board/7/core-simplyfillingYou can even start a thread over there to see if anyone else is interested if there isn't one already there. 🤗

I lost Weight and enjoyed the plan and then they got rid of it. Does anyone have a copy of the plan and foods? Is there a way to get it?
Thank you
