What can you do today to lose or maintain your weight and stay healthy?

Still not tracking but watching choices and portions. I can move and hydrate. I had over 11,000 steps yesterday and drank lots of water. This morning I have to feed DS’s pets. I have a massage at 10 and then will be meeting a friend for lunch. Love these temperatures in the low 70s. Happy Friday

Thanks for the start Audrey, I've been reading some this afternoon about the blue zones. very interesting. Friday I have a drs appt to follow up on my shoulder. I had the shot six weeks ago but it has not really helped. I want to try therapy and see if what that does. I have a long list of things to accomplish while I'm out and about. Taking the whole day off from work. Will do my best to stay OP
Audrey, the temp today was around 70 and just fabulous! Becky, hope your temps cool down soon. I don't want any more 90 degree days for a while.

Awesome job on your steps Audrey.
Great goals Becky. I shall join you.
LaDonna hope the PT helps your shoulder pain. I went for frozen shoulder and also for a torn rotator cuff and both helped along with shots for the rotator cuff.
Sleep well.

Today I will:
* journal on paper and MFP * walk 30 minutes in ten minute increments * eat a fruit and/or veg at every meal * think exchanges/power foods/ghg's * think positive - see myself shrinking
SUSI: Glad you weathered the storm
ANN: Hope you managed to get some rest.
MJ: They say that keeping busy is a good thing...I don't think YOU have to worry about having a lack of things to do!
BEE: Loved your thankful for list!
LADONNA: I hope you find a doctor that can give you relief for your shoulder
AUDREY: Loma Linda is where I went to nursing school. My sister-in-law's mother is 98...almost 99 and lives just outside Loma Linda. I watched a YouTube talk by Dr. Wareham, cardio-thoracic surgeon who at 98 said he had been doing surgery till he was 95 but decided to stop at that point. He is still gardening and has been vegetarian/vegan half his life. My parents bought the Wareham's home in Eagle Rock when he and his family moved to Loma Linda where he worked the rest of his life. Blue Zones are interesting. Seventh-Day Adventists are encouraged to be vegetarian and many are.
PAM: So envy you the ability to have a meal with your mother!
BECKY: I understand your wanting to make sure you don't have to do the knee surgery till you HAVE to do it. Rehab in bad weather, unless you join the YMCA or a gym or walk in a mall might not be easy.
The fires are out in the forests BUT there are protests in the street today because instead of "fixing" the government corruption they want to increase taxes and charge for use of WhatsApp, Skype, Facetime and other free apps. The people have had enough. I wonder if this will last or if the government will get its act together or...

Good morning all. Slept much better for which I'm grateful No plans for the day. Carl has to report for jury duty. I'll just hang out at home till he returns. Donna will be over for coffee and we'll take miss LuLa for a walk. Great goals, Cathy. Surely hope your government gets it's act together. Susi enjoy your gym session. Waving to all and wishing all a great OP Friday

Enjoy your massage and lunch Audrey I can understand not doing the surgery until absolutely necessary Becky. LaDonna - Sounds like you have a very busy day off! I hope he authorizes PT for you. Cathy - Hope your government gets it together. Unfortunately, that rarely happens. Good plan for the day. Enjoy your coffee with Donna, Ann. I'm having lunch with a friend from our sister company today. They brought in lunch yesterday so I'm having yesterday's lunch for breakfast today. And I have one last crab cake for dinner. Tomorrow night DS and I are meeting up with a lot of the cousins for dinner and to see one cousin's band perform.

Audrey, sounds like a good day.
Becky, I also have to grocery shop --- but not urgently yet.
LaDonna, sure hope they can find something to help your shoulder. I also am interested in the blue zones.
Ann, am joining you and Becky.
Cathy, if I do not stay AWARE of what I have to be thankful for, I can become GRUMPY MISS really quick. Sounds like a well planned day.
Susi, have fun and a great day!
I CAN! I WILL! I'm going to get rid of the pizza poundage hanging on to my hips. Had the rest for breakfast yesterday morning. LOL
Have managed to catch a cold. Made me some chicken/gnocchi/asparagus/roasted carrot soup for supper last night. Sure was good. Have twomore servings so no cooking today.

Good morning, all!
Prayers continue for all ailing and/or stressed posters and loved ones... and thank you for your prayers for me and my family... especially for the Mouseketeer...
🍂🍁🍂🍁🍂🍁🍂🍁🍂
Temps in the low 50*s this morning, only going up to the higher 50*s. No rain but enough wind to feel it.
DivaTaxi's done its morning run. Next come MHMR and LA-F. Then YM Ball prep (here at home) before MousekePickUP at 3:30.
And LOTS of lists and a full-weekend spreadsheet.
Toots leaves at 10 AM tomorrow for The Plantation. Son#2 & DDIL are going to a wedding and we are providing Saturday-overnight-into-Sunday squidSitting for MissMilla & MrLogan. Toots will hold the fort until I join them after the YM Ball. So it's his lunch/dinner, plans for breakfast and maybe lunch on Sunday, and all necessary clothing changes.
The YM Ball begins at 4 PM. The Kressling has a soccer game at 1 PM. DDIL thought he could skip it but Son#1 has been resistant so we are going for "halftime maybe". But I found out on the way to the train that Son#1 thought the party began at 6 PM. Nope. Military time. 1600 = 4 PM. And without Toots' help here, I really would benefit from Davin's presence.
It will all get done.
Coffee... ☕☕☕...
🍂🍁🍂🍁🍂🍁🍂🍁🍂 Have a healthy-eating day, all! 🍂🍁🍂🍁🍂🍁🍂🍁🍂

Hiya. After Carl left, I cleaned house. Washed floors, cleaned both bathrooms, dusted and ran the vac. Showered and took miss LuLa for a walk. Then Donna came over for coffee and we sat and had 'girl talk'. She just met a single guy in our retirement community that is very nice. I am SO HAPPY for both of them. I already told her should things get serious I want to be 'flower girl' LOL. Now I'm doing laundry. Yup, I do know how to have fun Susi enjoy lunch out with your friend and tomorrow with family listening to the band. Bee I can relate. We went for Chinese the other day....my weight was up....brought the rest home, had it for lunch yesterday and this morning my weight was up....now that it's out of my system, I can focus be aware willing and able So far, so good! I hope your cold leaves you soon. ((hugs)) MJ sounds like another hectic day/weekend in 'diva land' Hope you can get some well deserved YOU TIME in. Waving and will pop in later. Right now I'm about to brew another coffee......
