Hey everyone, I just wanted to make a safe place to admit mistakes. I don't know about the rest of you but I'm just getting back on track and I have a feeling there's going to be a lot of slip-ups before I get back into a groove. So share your mistakes, how you're going to fix them, or ask for help if you're struggling. Team PointsPlus π is here to help!

It's been awhile since I have been On Plan and I guess I had never tracked my go-to winter drink at Starbucks (Grande Peppermint Hot Chocolate). It was 12PP! I thought for sure it would be similar to my summer drink (Grande Caramel Frappucino with No Whip - 8PP) but wow! I could've had 3 cans of soda for that much!
Well, I kicked myself pretty hard for that one. I think I'll stick to my 0PP hot chocolate at home (I could add marshmallows and a lot of other things and be nowhere near 12PP). And because it sort of blew my day, I'm tracking it at the end of the day, so that I can eat 'normally' for dinner.

When I first joined WW, I had a lot of eye openers like that. I used to get some kind of latte at Caribou & it was that high. Torani probably has a peppermint syrup that you could use in your own hot chocolate. Even with a bit of fat free Reddi Whip, you wouldn't be at 12 PP.

Dear unshelled pistachios...
This is your final warning. If you cannot behave yourselves, you donβt get to jump into my shopping cart, much less follow me home.

I should know better, but on impulse, I grabbed a snack size Hershey bar from a bag of leftover candy at my DD1's house yesterday. 6 PP, twice what I expected. Impulse eating is pretty much ALWAYS a mistake.

Went to a diner with my son last night. I made the mistake of letting him order first. Well a tuna melt, cheese fries, and root beer float later...I knew I made a mistake. I only ate half the fries and root beer float, so I will take that as a win. That tuna melt went down like water!

Impulse eating is pretty much ALWAYS a mistake. A snack bar shouldn't be 6 PP if you only ate one . A regular sized Hershey bar is 6 PP & I believe the king size is 11 PP.

I was going by the list of Halloween candy irisinnia posted. It was not a miniature, not a regular size. The snack size is in between the two.

Can you tell that Hershey is one of my vices?

The other week I bought some individually packaged mini pretzels that were for Halloween (for myself that is). I had trouble staying out of them. I had put the bag on top of my refrigerator and every time I went to the kitchen they would call out to me from their high perch. So, I would get one bag (1 PP) and eat that. Then I would go out and they would call my name again. So, I would get another bag and their friends would say "take two we are small." So, I would take two or even three little bags of pretzels.
At my Saturday Weight Watchers meeting the leader told us to not let food have control over us. That stuck with me. So, when I got home I wrote down on a piece of paper "Do not let food have control over you" and I stapled it to the top of the pretzel bag and made sure it was hanging a little over the edge of the refrigerator. It worked. I ate less of the pretzels and when I got one bag I did not reach for its friends to bring them along on the journey. Lol.
